Alexithymiaa: -Steph was standing in the living room dusting off the piano and the shelves in the area with the duster in her hand, trying not to be frustrated with Bryan's mere presense as usual. She kept flicking Hugo away who was perched on top of the piano trying to play with the duster as she moved by. // Bryan was seated on the couch with his computer in his lap trying to get some work done since that was a sort of stipulation of him leaving for three weeks. "This wedding is going to be epic. Way more epic than any other wedding ever." He said quickly, his fingers typing over the keyboard. "And then we're going to Fiji and that's going to be the most epic honeymoon ever."-
Covet: "Fiji does sound pretty cool. Not as cool as we're going though." Felix said with a smirk, because of course he was going to be competitive about it. He tossed a small carrot bite over to Nugget, with his good arm, and watched it bounce off the dog's face and to the floor where he quickly gobbled it up. "Good boy, we'll work on those catching skills." He said like they haven't been working on them this whole time.
Alexithymiaa: "Yes Bryan." She said in monotone, trying to tune out his crap. She paused and set the duster down, looking over at Nugget. "I think the fact that his snout is so short is working against him here. Did you talk to your dad?" She asked him, heading off into the kitchen to grab her own computer from the counter. // "Where the fuck are you going that's so great then?" Bryan asked quickly, his hands still going on his keyboard.-
Covet: "Yeah You're probably right." Felix said with a nod, then looked at her, "Talk to him about what?" He asked not realizing what she was talking about, then turned to Bryan, "Bali. Going to get our photo bugging on and enjoy the warm weather."
Alexithymiaa: "Thursday night?" She asked him like how could he not know what she was referring to. Making her way into the living room, she sat down with her computer in her lap, beginning to go through her emails. // "Fiji is good for pictures and warm weather too. That doesnt mean yours is better." He said a little too quickly.-
Covet: "OH! Right. I did and he said he understands the concern but that it's nothing we need to worry about." Felix said. " I dug and dug to make sure nothing happened, and he said no. She was just really worked up and apparently all she did was cry and talk about Remy and how he was being a terrible father. I'd say it was a drunk rant, but she's pregnant, so maybe just emotions?" Felix said, then snickered at Bryan, "But Fiji is so common."
Alexithymiaa: "Okay..." She mumbled, not completely satisfied with that answer, but what else was she supposed to do. "It still seems weird to me that he would literally just go to her house after the fact, but whatever." She shrugged, continuing to go through her emails. // "Fiji isn't common. Fiji is great. We have like a whole suite booked and everything. We're going to come back with even better pictures that you could take on your stupid honeymoon." He said with a sneer before furrowing his brows. "Wait, what? Cadence?"-
Covet: "He said he's seen the look on her face that night at the party, it reminded him of a woman at his rehab center in New Mexico. Except.. things went downhill quick because she relapsed, and ended up losing her baby. It sounded pretty genuine on the phone." Felix said with a shrug. "We have a whole bungalow right on the water, facing the sunset. And you realize both Steph and I are both photographers?" He said blinking, then nodded, "Yeah...Cadence. My Dad went over to her place after your party, and stayed the night."
Alexithymiaa: "I guess it makes sense..." She started before looking at Bryan. "Why aren't you with CJ and her family? You never get to see them and instead you're here bothering us instead. Cadence is none of your business and neither is our honeymoon." // "So? You can be the best photographer in the world, you can't make shit scenery look amazing." He said with a smug grin like he had any idea what he was talking about. "Why would I be there when I can be here seeing MY family that I never get to see? And if you really believe nothing happened, you don't know people."-
Covet: "Actually...." Felix said. " I probably could... but that's just because I know what I'm doing." He said with a shrug brushing him off, until he said his next comment. "No, and I really don't know my Dad, but... at the same time. I have to give him the benefit of the doubt. He's been doing nothing but trying to stay on the right path and in my good graces, so I don't think he'd lie, and I don't think he will now, because of how awkward that would be. But Steph has a point, it's none of your business."
Alexithymiaa: "You're annoying..." She grumbled at Bryan. "Just because our parents suck, doesn't mean everyone should assume the worst in their parents all the time. I'm pretty sure that rule is only reserved for us." // "Hey, whatever." He said, holding his hands up in innocense before looking at Steph. "They're really not as bad as you seem to think they are. I get mom is kind of hard on you, but remind me again why you hate dad? Because he's always been pretty good."-
Covet: "Because he's dating the bitch that punched your cousin at Halloween, and she's a demon just like your mom, but in a way hotter body." Felix said before actually thinking about what he was saying. "And you saying your mom was kind of hard, is the understatement of the century. You realize that she literally drove your sister into an eating disorder. That's special level of hell action right there."
Alexithymiaa: -She was about to chime in when she heard Felix's second comment, turning her head to look at him. "Arizona... really?" She pushed her hand over the front of her forehead, shaking her head. "It's not even just that. He's basically like... adopted her bratty kids like his own and has altogether been neglectful of us since he started dating her. And he flat out told me that my feelings didnt matter and he was choosing them over us. Sorry I don't want anything to do with him." She said with a huff. // "He hasnt been neglectful of me." He spoke shortly with a shrug, not realizing that that wasnt making the situation better. "Okay okay, calm the fuck down. You can't just say it like that because there wasn't one single cause, okay? That's not fair to just put all the blame on her for that. There was a lot of shit going on."-
Covet: "What? It's true. But she's a ten on the Crazy hot scale, so it's scary hot. Which is bad. " He said trying to explain, then looked at Bryan. "Is saying that supposed to make what she did any better? Because it doesn't. And if you didn't talk to your dad, do you think he'd talk to you? The only time he contacted Steph after the divorce was when he wanted to show off his new trophy girlfriend. I can absolutely blame it on your mom, because she's the one who put the ideas in her head that if she was thinner she'd be better. You should have seen the look she gave her when she came up to us at your party."

Alexithymiaa: "You're still talking about how hot she is..." She said in a smaller voice, more confused than anything else about WHY he was still talking about it. Listening to the two go back and forth, she raised her hand into the air. "Enough! Jeez, listening to you guys go at it is literally giving me a headache. I take ownership of my mistakes and the situations I've put myself in. No one is to blame, but myself, okay? Can we stop now?" She asked with a raised voice. // Bryan rolled his eyes, opening his mouth to speak when Steph cut him off. He gave Felix a quick glare before looking back down to his computer. "Yeah, fine, whatever."-
Covet: "Sorry... Your brother has me all worked up with his bullshit view point." Felix said. "I am proud that you take accountability for your fault, but she's just as much to blame for her part in it. I know that and you know that, but it will be a sunny peaceful, torture free hell when she realizes that."

Alexithymiaa: "We're done talking about this." She said firmly to him, not blinking because she knows what she knows and it wasn't something she wanted to argue with Bryan about, regardless of the truth. // "Dude you weren't even around when all of this first started so you can't really talk like you know everything. That's pretty bullshit." He said quickly, brushing his fingers up through his hair.-
Covet: Felix glared at Bryan, "You're right I wasn't, but I don't need to have been here to see the effect and to see how far she's come since then. And I refuse to let her cut Steph down anymore than she already has, because I love and support your sister. Which is something she needs more than you casually brushing off the bullshit that happened. Dickhead." Felix said getting up, putting his hands up, "I'm done... I'm going to go smoke a joint outside." He said because he knew he was going to be in trouble for not being quite.
Alexithymiaa: "Felix..." She started, shooting a glare at Bryan. "Why do you have to do this? How many times do we have to go over this?" She asked as she pushed her computer off her lap and onto the couch, getting up to follow behind Felix. "You know it doesnt matter what you say, he's going to go back at you. Why do you even bother?" // Bryan rolled his eyes, closing his computer also. "Fine, whatever. But if you ask me, it seems like everything I know doesnt matter because he knows best, right?" He shot back at her, grabbing his things to angrily storm out of the house.-
Covet: Felix grabbed the tube with the pre rolled joint from the dispensary and his lighter, ignoring Bryan. "Because I'm sick of everyone brushing you off. You don't have to accept that, just because he thinks he knows best. He knows what's best for himself. If he cared about you, he'd see your mother in the same light. And I'm surprised he doesn't given how much he was a more prominent figure in your life than either of your parents."

Alexithymiaa: -She stepped outside with him and let the dogs run outside as well, pulling her sweater off her waist to slip over her arms. "I don't really think that's what he was getting at...." She started, leaning back against the stone. "He knows. If there's anyone that really really knows, it's him. We've just been through so many years of therapy and doctors that basically tell me that yes, she was a huge factor, it's never just one thing. And that's true and I have accepted that after a certain point it was me, but Bryan also likes to think he knows more than everyone else. Especially you, for some reason."-
Covet: "Yeah, but you hold yourself accountable for your part in it. Nobody is holding your mother accountable and that's bullshit." Felix said grumbling as he put the joint between his lips getting it going before pulling it away. "And Bryan's attitude about the fact that they're still your parents you should still have contact with them, make it sound like he doesn't give a fuck about what they did. He might know more than me in some things, but if there is anything I do know, you don't give acceptance and redemtion until they admit and accept their responsibility and start PROVING that otherwise. As witnessed in other situations."
Alexithymiaa: "I know..." She took a deep breath, glancing down at her boots. "But to hold her accountable, I'd actually need to associate with her. To me, it's worth her never having to face the reality than to have to continue to deal with her. I'm so much better than I have ever been doing this without her and without being reminded of how she made me feel all the time. I'd just prefer to pretend she doesn't exist and keep myself on track rather than dwell on trying to make her pay for her actions."-
Covet: "But you don't. She could apologize and have her reckoning over this shit, and you don't have to forgive her. Some things are unforgivable. Like the years of torture you've had to deal with that rippled from her treatment of you. I'm glad you're cutting her off, but the least your brother could do is respect that and not make it seem like you're the problem in this situation. I want nothing more than to see you on track and to know that you're doing amazing and I want nothing more than to see how happy you are without her. But I also want her to see that, to rub how fucked up it was for her to do any of this, in. That's the LEAST that she deserves. And cutting her off is getting to her, otherwise she wouldn't have even bothered to come make contact with our group."
Alexithymiaa: "To apologize she would need to actually believe she did something wrong." She said with a roll of her eyes. "Honestly? I think he holds herself to the same standards she always held me to. There's no way she can always pretend to be perfect without actually believing it. I just dont think she'll ever see the issue in that. And realistically, that's more her problem than my problem now. I couldn't give two fucks about what she does with her life anymore." She paused, glancing up at him. "You think it's getting to her?"-
Covet: "I know... hence my statement about a peaceful, torture free day in hell." He said with an exhale as he leaned forward looking at Steph, "Absolutely. If it wasn't she wouldn't have even bothered coming over. She doesn't know how you've been doing, how successful you've become, and that not knowing got to her enough that she had to come look for herself. And then to see that we're engaged and she knew nothing of it. It's going to make her even more mad when it's my mom who has privledges to be at the wedding, and she doesn't and has to hear it all second hand."
Alexithymiaa: "Your mom has been more of a mother to me in the last couple of years than my mother has been my entire life." She said without wavering. "And I seriously doubt my mother would even be able to make it through our wedding without commenting about how disappointed she is that the venue isnt bigger, that my dress isn't some big princess ball gown, that there arent ridiculous champagne fountains or something. She wants a Bryan wedding."-
Covet: "Well it's a good thing he's the good son who share's her taste. He can be the one to cater to her wants. If she can't be fucked to see you happy with what YOU and I want... then that's on her. She probably wouldn't even walk in because it's in a barn." Felix said with a chuckle, "You're welcome by the way...."
Alexithymiaa: "You figured it out. Our goal all along. The only true way to keep my mother away from our day." She started to laugh, holding her hands out in front of her in faux revelation. "Get married in a barn that is clearly beneath her standards."-
Covet: "Well that to, but no you're welcome for getting rid of your brother." He said giving a triumphant grin, even though Felix no.. that's not how you do it. "Maybe he'll give us a couple of days alone."
Covet: *too
Alexithymiaa: "Oh him? No he'll be back. He's always back. He's like a cockroach." He said as she stepped over to Felix, inhaling the joint smoke a little because all she wanted to do right now was smoke. "Do you think you can manage to play nice with him until after they leave?"-
Covet: "Well, at least I got rid of him for tonight." Felix said taking the small win. "Yeah, I can, I think I got it all out of me tonight." He told her wrapping his good arm around her to help keep her warm.
Alexithymiaa: "I really hope so. And I'd altogether prefer if the two of you didn't discuss my matters, especially not with me sitting right there trying to get you both to stop. Things are okay right now and I want to keep them that way. You guys arguing about me doesn't make that easier." She leaned against him, inhaling more smoke. Hoping for that contact high.-
Covet: "I'm sorry. His lackidaisical attitude about it, is what set me off. Plus after everything that happened at his party, then our other concerns this weekend. Wanna go on the honeymoon early?" He asked jokingly, "The escape could be nice."
Alexithymiaa: "I would love to go on the honeymoon early, but I also kind of want to go on the honeymoon after the wedding too. Can we just take two honeymoons instead?" She asked, tipping her head back to look up at him.-
Covet: "I'm totally down if you are." Felix said looking at her dead seriously. "Just say when and we'll figure out the finances later."
Alexithymiaa: "I don't really think that's how it works. I'm pretty sure you need to pay upfront and therefore we need to figure out the finances beforehand. I appreciate the gesture though. Maybe a cheaper alternative before the wedding would be to book a couple's spa day? We can relax and get nice massages and all that good stuff?"-
Covet: "Ooh, Massage, that sounds like it would be perfect. But only if we get the cucumbers on our eyes." He said, then put out the rest of the joint, and nudged her, "C'mon, I know you're cold, Let's go plan out our spa day in bed."
Alexithymiaa: "Uhuh.... but you need to schedule your surgery first." She told him with a look, calling for the dogs to quit running around the yard and come inside. "Of course I'm cold. I'm always cold. That should be your default assumption." She said as she stepped inside, turning into their bedroom to start getting ready for sleeps.-
