Personality:
Broadly, Jackie's personality can be described in the following ways:
	-Ambitious: Jackie believes she's on the path to true understanding of magic, how to reduce it to its component parts and reshape it to her will as desired. Rightly or wrongly, she believes some day she will be able to blast at will with raw, focused arcane energies.
	-Boastful: Jackie is damn good with her rifle and she knows it, taking every opportunity to crow about her stories to anyone who will listen.
	-Charming: Charismatic and effusive, Jackie has no trouble making friends and, by extension, enemies.
	-Energetic: A magic-infused bundle of twitchy energy, Jackie is frequently bouncing off the walls...when she's not napping, at least.
	-Flamboyant: In case it hasn't been said yet, Jackie is prone to showing off, down to attempting to master various trick shots, regardless of how actually useful they are. One might consider "Style over substance" to be her motto.

Backstory:
Jacqueline hails from the southern borders of Galt, sandwiched between the Verduran Forest and the Five Kings Mountains. The constant unrest in the region put generations of her family--who just wanted to be left alone to tend to their farm--on equally constant alert, needing to drive off both bandits and soldiers, but unable to flee to Andoran out of both pride and practicality, given that Andoran closed its broders to Galtan refugees. So the Therevants became self-taught magic users, with a tradition based on Great-Grand-Uncle Louis' half-remembered teachings from his time in a magic college in Cheliax "back in the day when kids were kids and coppers cost a GP."

Jackie held little interest in farming, instead learning the family magic tradition and striking off fairly young to do her own thing. With her she took an old rifle that her mother's father had made, Grandpa Francois' Sixty-One Special, a weapon she'd first used at age nine to help drive off a pack of bandits trying to pillage the farm. She went northwest, trading her skills for money in the myriad conflicts in the River Kingdoms. She joined a mercenary band in the city of Gralton, spending a couple of years with them and perfecting her craft, and also building her reputation as a rambunctious braggart with the skill to back up her claims. The crew left for the less-green pastures of Mendev, heading through Numeria and having a hell of a time with the residents there, including a runin with some stuck-up ponces declaring themselves acting for the Technic League who tried to confiscate her Sixty-One Special.

Emphasis on "tried."

Now persona non grata, Jackie left her mercenary friends so they wouldn't be in as much trouble, and continued her path northwest, spending most of a year in Mendev wandering here and there before the events of five days ago. Now, with a city-sized black ship floating in the air, Jackie sees only one thing: Legends of her amazingness spreading far and wide, her name secure in history forever, after she shoots the ship out of the sky.

Why did you volunteer?:
Glory! Adventure! Jackie is eager to test her skills...because it means getting to show off. And surely the whole world would know her name if she blew that thing to Aroden's second coming and back!
