- The two swashbucklers sat on the rotted log, neither looking at the other. A short distance away was an empty chest, an elaborate treasure map (stabbed through with a cutlass), an empty hole and two shovels. After a small, awkward eternity, one of them spoke.
- "Maybe...the true treasure was the friends we made along the way?"
- The other pirate considered this for a few moments before drawing his flintlock and shooting the other pirate in the chest.
