From ashes a new unlife blooms

A clear night sky is lit by the burning of a home, the flame consuming it in beautiful reds and oranges. inside a family is turned to ash just a bother and sister remain, sitting against an intact wall with the sister resting her head on the bother's shoulder, the charred remains of their parents then next room over.

Shine'sene" heh what a way to go burning to death not long after being defeated by Reshiram, heh funny"

Saiko'sene" well maybe the next life would be good, still stuck only 20 hours getting the new pokemon game, heh at least we played for those 20 hours straight still worth it, wouldn't you agree bother"

Shine" true was quite fun, the two of us against the world training to become the strongest for some fun and to see what the top of the world looks like, still, a grimdark pokemon game was quite something, wasn't it sister"

Saiko"yep the Dragapult twins strongest in the world able to beat anyone and all challengers, heh it was quite fun" Saiko starts into a coughing fit, and Shine's eyes close

Shine" the Power gamer twins" Saiko" the terrible twins" Shine" the cool twins" Saiko" the walking disaster twins" Shine "and all the other names we earned from our anticks it was quite a fun life even if it was rather short"

The house cracked and fell apart, crushing the twins and ending their pain.

The two were now falling through a night sky, Shine'sene" are we dead?" Saiko" nope I think we're just falling now" Shine" Hun ok I See water and maybe some lands in the distance" Saiko" yea I see too also" Saiko looking down saw the broad head of a Drakloak" your a Drakloak now and I'm most likely a Dreepy" Shine" ok then I just need to figure out how to Fly before we hit the ground" Saiko" better think fast since the ground is fast approaching" Shine looked inwards to try and feel out his new body see if instinct can kick in to allow him to fly.

Saiko" Hey you're going good because we're slowing down" the twins now Floating in the air, Shine" ok I'm getting the hang of this I think" as Shine finished talking they fell a couple of meters but stabilized then began to dive but this time with some control and they started flying slow at first but getting faster as Shine learns how to Fly. Saiko then hops off and started shaky flying beside him as they speed up, they began to practice maneuvers to get better. Flips and loops with barrel rolls too, even stall and drops to further get used to their bodies.

As they are flying around they get closer to the sea and land. where they spot a bubble of distorted time, Saiko" Oh wow see a time distortion zone is quite something too bad we couldn't finish the game before our deaths" Shine" yea But it has some to do with Dialga breaking because of something so if we can find that something we can fix this world" as Shine finished they passed over a small island and Saiko Feels something a little off and looks back, Saiko" hey bro mind speeding up by a lot" as to punctuate her point a Spearow flies past using  Aerial ace and both notice its corrupted and both look and see another 30ish Spearows also corrupted coming after them, both "Oh Fuck".

Shine then starts trying to outrun it asap, but while trying to speed up fails at keep altitude and they start dropping. Saiko" Shine you fool, we need to start Flying because I'm not dying this soon after getting another Life" Shine gets some hang of the flying not well and pretty shaky but because he doesn't know where he's flying the Spearow flock doesn't know either. as the flock and Shine and Saiko Flying through Trees and around rocks the chase starts to look like a dance through the dark star-filled sky.

Saiko" ok why are they still chasing us we've long since left the island they nest on. and How are they keeping up with us" Shine" Don't know more worried about not dying and finding a way to keep them off of us" they phased through a tree and a couple of Spearows hit the same tree trying to peck them, another Spearow Hits them with Aerial Ace knocking them into a rock, another Spearow lines up to strike Shine. Saiko" Now would be a really good time to use a move" Shine just lets out a Pulse at the Spearow that was about to hit them, Saiko" Cool going to need you to do that again, a lot" Shine" well I don't know how I did that so I'm open to suggestions" Shine begins to rise and started flying again with the Spearow flock hot on their heels.

Saiko" well since were Undead I don't think time will affect us too much" Shine" I know what your thinking but I don't want to try it on a hunch since years or more could pass for us if was go into a time distortion zone just to escape some Spearows" as one of the Spearow's Pecks at them but misses, Saiko" hey do we need to breathe?" Shine just notice something he would normally not think about. they don't need to breathe, then Spearow charged into them and knocked them into the sea below and the Spearows stop chasing.

The Spearows are now just circling above them, Saiko" well this is a better situation than before but are you ok?" Shine" true though I guess we're going to be here a while so they can leave and I'm fine, able to fly and that's all that matters right now" they started to swim not fast but it was something as they swam they noticed a ruined sunken city, what once was skyscrapers are just ruins with the entire tops halves gone bits of rebar, concrete, and steel sticking out. Glass broken and shattered with other buildings in various state of disrepair, some were relatively intact. others were barely a couple standing walls with maybe a window frame still there.

Looking over the Buildings and seeing some buildings still had color to them, their eyes passed over a shop but it was one they recognized from a previous game. they headed into the ruins and started to look over them the walls still sporting the murals of all the pokemon around the area, Saiko" wow this brings back the memories of the times we played the games this was in hey Remember the time we found a duplication glitch and duped Arceus until our entire team was Arceus" Shine" yea was pretty fun when we went into a no holds bar, double battle the sounds they made when they realized the whole team was Arceus was pretty funny and the bonus from the Devs when we showed them how to do it was nice". another mural showed pokemon playing with each other and another mural showed off the Items from the store since it was such a high-end store, not a lot could afford to buy from it but they started to look around and see if anything was left. checking the crates up front most were broken open by nature or pokemon and they opened the still-closed ones and found rotten or empty potions and what were berries that had long since rotted away.

they continue looking through the crates, Saiko"remember when we moved and we had to help pack and unpack Boxes or the pokemon Box mini game and won those great prizes those were good times" Shine just stops and floats over and hugs his sister who just starts crying which causes Shine who was barely holding it together to do the same and the two just float and cry, Saiko with tears flowing still" Fuck that Bullshit luck to Die in a fire now I can't go and see my old friends since I'm dead in that world, Can't even finish the last book I was writing to finish off my first series, Fuckfuckfuck fuckelkity Fuck" Shine" yea I know how you were almost done with it as well but you did sent it to your early readers and friends for the finishing touches so the series will be finished, Still it sucks a lot since now I've only released one series but at least it was finished not that I can explane that universe or finish all the shows I was watching or even get the Chance to ask out Vicky" Saiko just punches him in the arm" you two would have been cute together, but your Bottling again you always have and always will" Saiko Tail whips open a crate and finds a Much Belt. Saiko" hey Found a Much Belt this should be a really nice stat Boost though getting the food to feed you then might be a challenge".

Shine slides it on turning the Belt into a necklace and starts to feel its effects. Shine" Waoh that feels odd and hungry but I can feel the extra power from it, Reminds me of the time we gave each pokemon of our team Much Belt the cost was large but the power was so worth it" Saiko" Yea it made the tougher battles a bit easier but getting all the food needed was quite the fun challenge". as the two continue looking through the store they head into the second floor with where the store owner Mr. Fuji home was, as they swim up and into the place, it's quite impressively intact though the insides were ruined because of the sinking into the sea, Shine" nice to see this place still intact, hope the old man was alright we did way too many quests for him to just fade away" Saiko looking through the place" yea it would suck if he just up and died in his sleeeeeeeeeppp" Saiko was now in the bedroom looking at a skeleton on the bed. Shine came in to see what was up and just floated in the doorway.

Saiko was on the verge of crying again but Shine just hugged her and said" let's at least bury him and put the Bones to rest" Saiko just nodded and helped Shine turn a crate into a grave box and seal it the best they know how then buried it right behind the shop deep and covered it up and made a stone grave marker made into a circle with the engraving on the largest of the three stones. Saiko" Fuck why did the engraving come out looking so rough heck it looks like a 3rd grader did it" Shine" you do realize we're in branded new bodies meaning our muscle memory is reset and that you just used your claws to engrave into stone, so I say it turned out decent but quite to the standards the old man would have wanted but still good enough" Saiko sighing" Fine I guess your right and we can just come back later and fix it maybe add something to it".Shine looks around while Saiko just floats by the grave, Shine" looks like we got to go there's a school of tetacruel and tetacool coming near" Saiko" ok let's go and try and draw the squid school with us.

Shine just nodded and they swan off then he focused on the feeling of when he unleashed the Dragon Pulse the first time then swam up and unleashed it on the lead Tetacruel it sent it flying back and the School to case them which Shine takes off with Saiko holding on to his head. 5 Tetacruels and 4 Tetacools were somewhat keeping up with them, Shine was weaving through the ruins of the city, and Shine headed into a ruined office building and almost flies through it, avoiding the blasts from the squids chasing them. passing through the cubicles floating about and throwing back dragon pulses to keep them off of them and they are on the last floor with the rest of the building gone Shine heads for the surface all the while dodging blast after blast, they reach the surface right as Shine takes a Hydro Pump to the rear leg and using the force to further push them along Shine and Saiko.

Once out Shine Flies over to a small northern Island fresh snow is around and Shine passed out on the top of a large Oak Tree.
