The Nikto staggered back, pulling out his two blasters as Gella quickly jumped into the main cargo hold. There was a human behind the Nikto pirate, who began shooting at her, the blasts aimed straight at her heart. She deflected them instantly. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Axel emerging from the alcove.
"Axel!" she yelled.
"Stay back! We can handle this!"
Gella took up a wide stance to keep her balance. The shots came quickly and she deflected them over and over, while slowly closing the distance between herself and the pirate. She finally got close enough to slice the human pirate's blaster in half, jumping forward and landing a two-footed kick straight in the middle of his chest, knocking him down and stunning him.
