  8.
  9. Experience with server/room administration (List what you've done in the past): Moderated a clan form for an arma 2 clan, moderated numerous game forms, teamspeak for the same clan, and a personal mumble server for friends before discord blew up.

  15. Have you been banned from CxS or anywhere else and what for?(This does not disqualify you if you have): Not that I can recall
  16.
  17. Your motivation
  18. Why you think we should accept your application / why you think you are qualified / should be trusted: I've been around long enough, and I understand the rules fairly well, I'm fairly level headed, and have great empathy skills which are useful in defusing heated situations without causing a bigger fuss than needed. I've always tried to abide by the rules, and am just interested in helping out people know me and I put my commitments first.
  19.
  20. Why do you want to be a staff member? (You can be honest here): Just to help out, cxs has been so welcoming since I first joined a while back, and I'd like to help keep it that way.
  21.
  22. Qualities you think are important / relevant for a staff member (What ones do/don't you have?): Empathy skills, problem solving skills, and most importantly, being able to set bias aside to make decisions.
  23.
  24. What are your flaws? (Knowing our staff and knowing yourself helps us with improving): I sometimes take on more than I can handle. I'm not proficient in Java, CSS or html, so most of my profiles are templates, or otherwise look like crap. I'm sure I have other flaws, but I can't think of any right now, I'm sure if I asked around, someone could give me a few more.
  25.
  26. The following are questions that relate to how you think certain situations should be handled / your opinion on various subjects. There is not necessarily a right or wrong answer, so please answer honestly.
  27.
  28. 1. When rules are broken or issues arise what steps would you take?
  29. I would Look at the situation, Certain rules are more important than others, after determining a measured action, depending on the structure of the mod team I would either run it by by the rest of the mod team if it's a ban, or I'd simply take that action, if it's a kick or a pm asking the person to stop the behavior. depending on the situation, it may warrant a blanket post not singling anyone out, asking that the behavior cease per the rules.
  30.
  31. 2. What if a conflict occurs and there are no other moderators around what would you do?
  32. I've found a good way to end a conflict without making anyone feel like they're being singled out is to message the person(s) directly, instead of calling them out in chat, after doing this I'd attempt to steer the conversation away from the conflict in chat. If that doesn't work, the offending parties may need a kick or temporary ban to cool off.
  33.
  34. 3. What would you do if you were accused of admin abuse or being unfair and how would you react?
  35. I would hear out the accuser and listen to their complaint, if it's valid I would apologize and do the best to prevent that behavior from happening again. If it's not a case of being unfair, or admin abuse I'd explain what I did, and why I did it. If that doesn't convince them, then I'd ask another staff member for their opinion on the matter as it can be difficult to determine your own bias or flaws in your own logic sometimes.
  36.
  37. 4. What do you think qualifies as admin abuse?
  38. Admin abuse is using your moderation powers to bully someone, by kicking, banning, or even just pulling the moderator card because something isn't going your way, or because you don't like someone.
  39.
  40. 5. What is the purpose of staff and how do you think they should act?
  41. The purpose of staff is to keep cxs a fun and welcoming environment for people new, and people that are established there. Staff is there to address problems, and help resolve disputes as elegantly as possible so the chat stays friendly, as well as protect the members of the chat that are trying to have fun from people who are set on ruining that fun.
  42.
  43. You may be asked additional questions about how you would respond in a given scenario after the application has been reviewed.
  44.
  45. If we think you make a good member of the team, you will be PM'd, if you have submitted an application and would like to make an edit please PM Serrated. Please send applications to Serrated on RPH or Serrated#1337 on discord by replying to these in another pastebin.
