“Apparently, it looks like Sonic noticed, too. I have to recover the Emeralds somehow before that fellow does..!”

Meanwhile, Sonic and Tails, as Eggman expected, already detected the incident and have started to act. At that time, while they ran around and gathered information on the Emeralds, suddenly, a stranger suddenly stood right before the two in their way.

“Sonic! You scoundrel! I, Knuckle, will stop your ambitions!”
“!? ..???”

Before they knew it, one way or another, Knuckle stood in their way. And, with a complacent smile, another person was watching their exchange…

“Heh heh hehhh! Sonic and Eggman are irrelevant! While that lot are quarreling among each other, I, the great Fang the Sniper the treasure hunter, got the Chaos Emeraaalds!”

He is forced to fight Sonic this time out of his clumsiness, so he has a little regret. He intends to bring out Metal Sonic, his ultimate homemade robot, to counter him.

~Knuckles the Echidna~
Known as “Knuckle”. An echidna brimming with a sense of justice. He was actually fooled by Eggman regarding Sonic, believing he was a villain trying to conquer the world with the Chaos Emeralds. Although his personality is a short-tempered one that rushes into things, his heart is innocent and honest. I wonder if this guy could be a friend…

~Fang the Sniper~
A treasure hunter who lives in subspace, he seems to be collecting the Chaos Emeralds. He is a pretty clever villain, but whatever he does is petty. Although he fusses about sneaking around and trying to outsmart people, his endgame is oftentimes inadequate and he flops in the end… That is how mischievous he is. He boasts about his flying bike among other things...
