  3. Post-Game
  4. Elicoor II
  5. Maze of Tribulations
  6. The 4th Dimension
  7. Sphere
  8. Elicoor II
  9. Urssa Cave Temple
  10.
  11.
  12.
  13.
  14. - Talk to the bunny near the final save point to warp out (one-way only).
  15. Maybe farm some (more) money by fighting the Biochimera first, though?
  16. - First, if you're using Mirage or Cliff, go pick up the Raven Gauntlets
  17. and Infinity Kick at the Cave Temple (and Heaven's Blade if you're using
  18. Adray). If you're still missing the BTs for the bosses there, you can only
  19. get the gauntlets.
  20. × This is where I (tend to) boost the levels of IK and Kyou.
  21. - You'll probably want to restock on supplies. In case you forgot, you
  22. can use the thingie in Kirlsa Hills to get back to Gemity.
  23. - Don't forget about those Medicine Bottles if you want to fight Gabe
  24. without using an accessory slot for an Amulet of Freedom. Not that big
  25. a deal if you don't have them.
  26. - Most of the bosses in the post-game have no BTs, so I won't be mentioning
  27. that again.
  28. - Synth your old weapons into the new weapons you find (except for the
  29. Divine Avenger). If you didn't synth them earlier, you could now synth
  30. Rings of Animosity and Faerie Rings into the new weapons before you slap
  31. in the old ones.
  32. × In case you forgot, the Ring of Animosity is useful for Mirage, Nel,
  33. Fayt, Cliff, NTSC Peppita, PAL Albel, and possibly Maria, depending on
  34. how much action she's getting.
  35. - Again, the six factors I recommend are:
  36.
  37. Ring of Mental Power 2400 6% MP regen
  38. Blue Talisman 5900 30% chance to negate HP damage
  39. Red Talisman 5900 30% chance to negate MP damage
  40. Ring of Animosity 36 000 Fury use -3
  41. Faerie Ring (40%) 45 000 Battle skill HP use -40%
  42. Ring of Haste (20%) 90 000 Movement rate +20% -> 30%
  43.
  44. - Take the southwest path in Kirlsa to reach the MoT.

  52. Ripe Berries, Helm of the Dark Eye (Unique), Pumpkin Wraith Rod (Unique),
  53. Synthesis Materials
  54. Boss: Render
  55.
  56. - As the game points out, the enemies within the MoT will not have reduced
  57. stats when playing on Easy. On Easy, this place will also have a separate
  58. battle count.
  59. - There are no save points in this dungeon.
  60. - Once you've explored most of this level (the helm is the last item
  61. you'll find before the boss), I suggest you return to the inn in Kirlsa
  62. to save. The first boss is fairly hard.
  63.
  64. [AddSkipScene024]. This one plays when you proceed north from the corridor
  65. | where you found the Helm of the Dark Eye.
  66. [Boss] FWIE AAA
  67. - 350 000 HP, 50 000 MP, 1226 ATP WA 2W
  68. - 90 000 xp, 16 900 Fol
  69. - Ice Beam can be blocked. It could still easily catch you off-guard,
  70. though. Even if it doesn't freeze you, the sheer amount of damage can
  71. and likely will kill you.
  72. - Blizzard Lasso (U) covers a large area but isn't all that damaging
  73. (unless you're pushed against a wall, in which case you're looking at
  74. about 30 hits).
  75. - None of his attacks are actually Water-elemental (except Ice Needles).
  76. |
  77. [AddSkipScene025]
  78.
  79. - Backtrack and save if you want to. The next couple of bosses aren't
  80. that hard, though, and you'll soon be able to use a short cut to get
  81. out faster.
  82. - If Sophia's not using a double xp weapon, consider customizing the
  83. Pumpkin Wraith Rod with the stuff below (again, use a carrier to save
  84. money). This would boost her post-game spells that are good for MP
  85. kills.
  86.
  87. Ring of Mental Power 2400 6% MP regen
  88. Blue Talisman 5900 30% chance to nullify HP damage
  89. Dark Crystal 15 000 Int +500 -> 1000 [3700 Fol, Ansala]
  90. Emerald Ring 45 000 Battle Skill MP use -40% (-> 50%)

  128. × Energy Burst can be used to end most battles rather quickly and with

  158. Santa's Boots 5 000 000 Fol
  159. Tri-Emblem 6 068 400 Fol
  160. Grab Bag 9 800 000 Fol
  161.
  162. - I recommend Tri-Emblems for all of your fighters. Most of the abilities
  163. it gives you are of little note, but it's still worth a slot just for the
  164. ATP bonus and waza HP consumption -40%. With three BoPs and a Tri-Emblem,
  165. most fighters will reach max ATP with their ultimate weapon (Nel will have
  166. about 9800, Maria 9400). Anyway, using a fully refined Beguiling Device
  167. or Cinderella Tablets will bring the price down to 4,25 million a piece.
  168. If you didn't already get the money by fighting the Bio-Chimera, expect
  169. to do some grinding at some point. You'll also need about 3 million for
  170. each ultimate weapon you end up using.
  171. - Santa's Boots and Grab Bag may give you an item when staying at an inn.
  172. Below are some items of note.
  173. × Santa's Boots: Synthesis Materials, Bunny Shoes, Tri-Emblem, Tri-Emblum,
  174. Scumbag Slayer, Celestial Pixie, Fire Pixie, Water Pixie, Wind Pixie,
  175. Earth Pixie
  176. × Grab Bag: Synthesis Materials, Demon's Stone, Spirit of Lilith,
  177. Rabbit's Foot, Sea Squirt, King Durian
  178. × Simply having a Demon's Stone in your inventory causes your HP to
  179. be constantly drained during battle. You can actually patent it, even
  180. though there's no way to create it through IC.
  181.
  182. \\\ Level 4 ||
  183. Items: Efreet Cape (Unique), Ripe Berries, Magical Berries, Ripe Berries,
  184. 61 000 Fol, Magical Berries, Magical Berries, Mystic Chain
  185. Boss: Earth Dragon
  186.
  187. - If you've been using a Damask Cape with Peppita, you should probably
  188. just synth that into the Efreet Cape, even though it already has an Echo
  189. +2. It's really not that big a deal. You'll likely be creating a new
  190. weapon for her soon anyway.
  191. - The second area has two chests with Ripe Berries and Magical Berries.
  192. You'll likely need to use a Jewel of Avarice to find them (if you even
  193. want them).
  194. - You need to kill 9 groups of Aqua Wisps in the large area to make
  195. the boss appear. The count will reset if you leave (even after the
  196. Earth Dragon has appeared). If you have an RD weapon, feel free to use
  197. that. Otherwise, you'll need to give it your A-game. Thunder Flare is
  198. quite vital. They can paralyze you with Prism Shake, so put on some
  199. Amulets of Freedom. If you're using Mirage, have her switch to Triple
  200. Kick.
  201. - The Mystic Chain is near the stairs leading to Level 5. The money is
  202. in the northwest corner.

  261. A, B, C, D, from left to right, and 1, 2, 3, 4, from top to bottom.
  262. This one can be tricky. You need to get the room in B1 to C2, then

  287.
  288. - Since Fayt's second post-game weapon is obtained so late, I suggest
  289. customizing the Divine Avenger with the following factors. I'd stick to
  290. the old weapon for Gabe, though. Either way, this gives him an ATP of
  291. 7800 at Lv255 (with a Tri-Emblem and a BoP). If you feel you need to max
  292. out on some special occasions, just pop in some Might Tablets. Might
  293. Tablets will get you to max if you have at least 7143 ATP. Don't forget:
  294. the Might Tablets remain in effect for the rest of the battle. You'll
  295. need to replace the BoP at times (most likely for status protection),
  296. which will bring you down to 6000-6500. This is not an issue at all.
  297. 6000 is more than enough to let you take out almost any enemy in the
  298. Sphere with a single chain.

  317. - Take out three of the next bosses (starting with Tri-Chimera and Vile

  344. - 200 000 xp, 156 000 Fol
  345. - Normal attack: 0,8x. 3 hits, medium range.
  346. - Normal attack (U): 2,0x. 2 hits, medium area.
  347. - Normal attack (anti-back)(U): 1,5x, 2 hits.
  348. - Lightning Feather: 2,0x HP, 0,1x MP, 10 hits, large area centering on
  349. the target. This will wipe out any characters within range fairly quickly
  350. unless blocked. He can use it from any distance. Indeed, if he uses it
  351. on a distant character, it will leave him very vulnerable, although this
  352. is not a very likely scenario.
  353. - True Judgment: LF is often followed by this one. However, the move
  354. doesn't work properly, as he always warps to the bottom of the battlefield
  355. to use it regardless of whether there's anyone even there. Indeed, most
  356. of the time, he'll just end up swinging at the air. Might be a good
  357. chance for you to attack.
  358. - Dragons (U): 2,0x HP, 0,1x MP, ~8 hits max, very large area. You can
  359. avoid this by standing in the lower right corner. There's a smaller safe
  360. zone on the left too, but you'll often get hit a few times there. Gabe
  361. is vulnerable at the beginning and end of the move (invincible during it).
  362. Try to lure or knock him in the lower right corner, so you can capitalize
  363. on these vulnerable periods.
  364. - All of his attacks have a chance of inflicting Paralysis.
  365. - Phase 1: Normal attacks only
  366. - Phase 2 (<70%): + Lightning Feather & True Judgment
  367. - Phase 3 (<50%): + Dragons
  368.
  369. - Gabe is insanely fucking hard, at least if you go in unprepared. If
  370. you want to save yourself from the headache, just use an RD weapon.
  371. - If you'd rather take him on fair and square, you should use pretty
  372. much the same approach as you did with Luther: One fighter provokes,
  373. while another fighter handles blocking. After blocking, you may want
  374. to go on the offensive with both fighters, although it is risky, and
  375. you could easily end up eating a LF (or possibly Dragons). You could
  376. consider bringing the support character close to the action to block
  377. LF. In this case, healing becomes a bit of an issue, since you can only
  378. safely cast spells during Dragons. At other times, you should go with
  379. items.
  380. - I've already said this multiple times, but one more time just in case:
  381. Use No Guard. It makes a big difference.
  382. - You could also use Convert Damage in phase 1, although it shouldn't
  383. take long for you to reach phase 2.
  384. - If not used for blocking, the support character should be in the
  385. left safe zone. If Gabe goes after your support, just keep moving until
  386. stealth kicks in. Try not to let the AI fighter chase after Gabe. If
  387. your support has Thunder Flare, feel free to throw that into the mix.
  388. His force resistance is pretty typical for a boss.
  389. - Use Medicine Bottles if you don't want to equip Amulets of Freedom.
  390. |
  391. [AddSkipScene039R]
  392.
  393. - You can fight Gabriel again if you leave the whole dungeon and come back.
  394.
  395.
  396. - Next up is Sphere 211. Use the elevator on the fifth floor.
  397. - Eight level layouts are used on these floors (not random). Below you
  398. can see what the first area in each layout looks like and which direction
  399. to go to to reach the elevator up.
  400. × Layouts 6 and 7 are quite similar, but the elevators are in completely
  401. different places. In 6, you need to go northwest in the second cross-
  402. shaped area. In 7, you need to go north. You can easily tell the two
  403. layouts apart, since layout 7 has no enemies in the second area. Also,
  404. in layout 6, the yellow icon on the elevator is (usually) poorly aligned.

  421. - If an item isn't found in the areas you pass through on your way to
  422. the elevator, I'll indicate in brackets which way you need to go to find
  423. the item. Once again, Jewels and Synthesis Materials have been excluded
  424. from the item lists (although there is a full list of Synth Materials
  425. in the misc. file).
  426. - The money is indeed not that good here, so if that's what you need,
  427. you'll want to go somewhere else.
  428. - If you're running away from battles a lot, the best formation is the
  429. loose line, so your characters aren't so close to each other.
  430. - The bosses can be rather tough (at least without No Guard), but you
  431. can once again fall back on a defensive Homing setup if a more direct
  432. approach fails.
  433. - If you want the Recover 77 777 HP BT, keep an eye on the figures in
  434. the misc. file.
  435. - Not only is Peppita's second post-game weapon obtained late (floor
  436. 192), but it also comes with three undesirable factors (unless you're
  437. using fireworks), which is simply unacceptable. As such, you should
  438. customize a pair or Lunatic Shoes with the following factors (don't
  439. forget to use a cheap weapon as a carrier): Combined with a Tri-Emblem
  440. and a BoP, this gives her an ATP of 9150 at Lv255 (7700 without the BoP).
  441. Her DFP will only be around 1000, however, which is well below that of
  442. other fighters, who will be around 2000. Very unfortunate, but it's just
  443. something you'll have to live with. Convert Damage helps.
  444.
  445. Ring of Mental Power 2400 6% MP regen

  453.
  454. - If you're playing the PS4 version, you can easily afford to make
  455. save files where you can fight the Sphere bosses again. Use the second
  456. memory card, so you can still quickly access the first one (the more
  457. save files there are, the longer it takes).

  471. - BT: Defeat Norton using Metal Pipe only. To get this, Fayt has to be
  472. the only living character and he has to be equipped with the Metal Pipe
  473. (Sophia's Fragile Metal Pipe won't work). Aside from that, it doesn't
  474. matter what you do. Customize the Metal Pipe to bring the ATP up
  475. (Imposing Scroll, Ori, BoA). I'd go with 3x ATP +1000, ATP +30% and
  476. Earth element. Load the game after getting the BTs (get the max damage
  477. one here as well), as you'll want to have at least 4 free slots for

  503. - He's only got his two normal attacks this time around. It's HP damage
  504. only, so it's time to use Convert Damage again.
  505.
  506. - Fix up the gauntlets right away if you're using Mirage or Cliff (or
  507. maybe go pick up the next Dragon Leather and/or Valiant Mail first).
  508. Once you've cleaned it up, only one ATP +1000 should remain. You shouldn't
  509. duplicate it, as using fully refined BoPs (Boots of Prowess) is more
  510. effective and also gives you a DFP boost.
  511. - Check the ultimate weapon list in the misc. file to see how the junk
  512. factors with more than one outcome behave.
  513. - When refining BoPs, I give it 5 runs before I load the game.
  514. - The ultimate weapons have the highest base values, as you might expect,
  515. so you definitely want to use a carrier weapon when customizing them, ie.
  516. first synth everything on to a cheap weapon (starting with the cheapest
  517. factors) and then synth that on the ultimate weapon, Doing so saves at
  518. least 1 million per weapon.
  519. - Even so, you may still run out of money, meaning it's time to grind.
  520. I'd go with the Huge Chimeras at L6 of the MoT myself. You'll get 1 mil
  521. in 10 minutes. You can't use bonus with them, but they go down faster
  522. than the toads and flies on L7 (at least with MP damage). Another option
  523. is the Biochimera in the Spiral Tower. It's a bit of a hike, but you
  524. could easily keep Double Fol on. Losing it might be a problem, though.
  525. Lucky Star is no good there, so you'd have to use low level characters
  526. to bring your average level down (Biochimera is Lv74).
  527. - Get the money for the Tri-Emblems while you're at it if you didn't
  528. get those yet.
  529. - In any case, here's what I put on the weapons:
  530.
  531. Ring of Mental Power 2400 6% MP regen
  532. Blue Talisman 5900 30% chance to negate HP damage
  533. Red Talisman 5900 30% chance to negate MP damage

  535. Boots of Prowess 86 000 ATP & DFP +30%
  536. Boots of Prowess 86 000 ATP & DFP +30%
  537. Ring of Haste (20%) 90 000 Movement rate +20% -> 30%
  538.
  539. - No space for a Ring of Animosity, but you can just equip that.
  540. - The later you obtain an ultimate weapon, the less potential use you
  541. can get out of it. Indeed, the last ones arrive so late, it's not really
  542. worth going through the trouble of fixing them up unless you're still
  543. missing some of the super boss BTs.
  544. - Again, there's a list of all the synth kits in the misc. file. In the
  545. unlikely event that you end up using *all* the Synth Materials scattered
  546. about the worlds, you'll just have to farm them with Santa's Boots / Grab
  547. Bag or from the Shadow Savants in the Urssa Cave Temple. Santa's Boots
  548. give you maybe one in 10 minutes. The Grab Bag might give you as many as
  549. five in 10 minutes. With the Shadow Savants and with the bonus on, you can
  550. get two, maybe three, in 10 minutes. Without the bonus, getting a single
  551. kit could take 30 minutes. You can easily get the bonus going with Lucky

  771. (this is the one time I actually have to worry about MP damage). The
  772. other super bosses may be tough, but they also let you easily recover
  773. when there's only one character left. You have no such luxury with Blair,
  774. and it's all because of Eddy of Light. Eddy of Light is inescapable.
  775. It's simply too fast. (It's *technically* possible to sidestep it, but
  776. it requires not only precise timing but also precise positioning. You
  777. might've seen it in one of fxm508's old videos, if you were around back
  778. then. The videos are now gone, sadly.)
  779. - Once again, offense is the best defense. Try to maintain your juggles
  780. for as long as you can. If you've already maxed out your levels, that'll
  781. give you a significant advantage, as you'll be able to No Guard EoL more
  782. consistently. If your max HP just isn't high enough (50 000+), you'll
  783. have to rely entirely on your Blue Talismans.
  784. - Better have some refined Analeptics. You may find that coming back
  785. with just 30% MP isn't going to cut it. Another option is to use Roe
  786. Tablets or a Shielding Device, so the support character can draw the
  787. heat and safely heal at the same time (you can still use items).
  788. - One way to deal with the MP damage is, of course, by using Convert
  789. Damage - Preserve MP. Your damage output will go down, since the high
  790. damage will hinder No Guard, but at least you'll be able to heal both
  791. fighters at the same time.
  792. - If you're in control, try to sidestep at least one of the hits from
  793. Death Howl.
  794. - As a last resort, if you've boosted your DFP with BoP, you could turn

  818. keep a save file where you haven't killed her in case you want to re-
  819. experience the magic of getting royally owned by her.
  820. - The 'Defeat super boss with x only' BTs require that you land at least
  821. 50 hits of that type with controlled characters. Once you hit that quota,
  822. you can let the AI handle the rest. You should have at least one invincible
  823. fighter for these. Two is recommended, in case a character is killed by
  824. Star Guard. Mirage and Fayt are the top choices, as they can easily
  825. reach 5000 DFP (you can use BoPs to quadruple your DFP). Against Lenneth,
  826. you can use pretty much any fighters you want if you turn off Berserk

  849. Effect: Confusion,
  850. - Normal attack (anti-back): 2,0x HP, 0,1x MP, ~20 hits, small area,
  851. Effect: Confusion.
  852. - Lightning Strike: ~2000 pod, 7 hits. Avoid it with a well-timed sidestep.
  853. - Stone Rain: ~1000 pod, 6 hits, large area.
  854. - Nibelung Valesti (U): 4,0x HP, 0,3x MP, ~5 - 20 hits, huge area,
  855. The spear already does damage on contact before the actual blast. You
  856. take fewer hits the farther away from the center of the blast you are.
  857. If you're at full health and not too close, you can survive it. High HP
  858. characters at (roughly) full health might survive near the center if
  859. their Blue Talisman kicks in enough.
  860. - Phase 2 (<30%): + Nibelung Valesti, - Stone Rain.
  861.
  862. - Lenneth will quickly decimate you if you engage her haphazardly. Set
  863. all your characters on Manual and only attack her when you get a decent
  864. opening, ie. when she's casting a spell or after her normal blockable
  865. (no need to block it; just get behind her) or when you hit her with
  866. Thunder Flare. Use the good stuff: Infinity Kick, Mirror Slice, Air Raid,
  867. Kaboom, Hand of Doom, Raging Helmet, Max Shockwave, Triple Kick.
  868. - Many moves have trouble connecting due to her small size combined
  869. with her force resistance. Air Raid in particular is badly hit and might
  870. only give you two hits.
  871. - No Guard is nice, as always, but it's a bit less useful here due to
  872. the Fury damage she does with her regular blockable. In NTSC-versions,
  873. you'll need to drop NG for some characters (Fayt, Roger) in favor of
  874. faster cancel fodder, since you don't have skip cancel.
  875.
  876. - In Phase 2, it'll become more difficult to get an opening, as she
  877. starts using NV and isn't very likely to cast a spell anymore. At this
  878. point, you should just brute force it; just keep reviving your fighter(s)
  879. and keep trying to interrupt NV. Peppita, Roger and Nel should try to
  880. interrupt it right away, whereas others should try to knock her out of
  881. the air. Either that, or just hit her with Thunder Flare. Keep the action
  882. in a corner while one of your characters is in the opposite corner.
  883.
  884. - If you're using more than one character who can equip the Valkyrie
  885. Garb, you may want to mug one of those. It doesn't really make much of
  886. a difference, though, since there's hardly any content left. It also
  887. means one of your characters won't be able to fight her properly (again,
  888. you really should make a copy of your save file).
  889. - In any case, Loot Item works best with Nel's Fuujin (thanks to the
  890. attribute transfer bug). Set Loot Item to SR Confirm and Fuujin to SR
  891. Cancel. Stun her to get an opening, initiate Fuujin and hit her with a
  892. Confirm normal attack. If you manage to float her during a normal attack,
  893. you have about 3% chance of getting the drop. You can usually block her
  894. after an attempt, but you should still have a lot of stun bombs (100+).
  895. Using Thunder Flare works too. Forget about leveling up Loot Item. It's
  896. very slow and unnecessary. Either way, if you don't get one before she
  897. starts using NV, you should load the game and try again. If you happen
  898. to get one rather quickly, you could try and get another one (Loot Item
  899. works at most twice on a single enemy). You certainly want to try that
  900. if all your standard characters can equip it. Pulling it off could take
  901. hours, though, so you may want to settle for just one extra.
  902. × If you don't have Nel, you'll have to use Maria's Gravity Bullet.
  903. It doesn't work anywhere near as well, though (unless you float her
  904. with Homing first).
  905. - The Valkyrie Garb isn't much more powerful than the Dragon Leather,
  906. but the reason it's great is because it increases your HP and MP by 30%.
  907. Mirage, Nel, Maria and Peppita can equip it.
  908.
  909. - If you don't feel like dancing around with Lenneth, a simple and easy
  910. way to take care of her is to use stun bombs and follow it up with
  911. Sophia's (or Adray's) LR normal attack (or Energy Burst). If you have
  912. max ATP, Echo +2 and Increase MP Damage, you'll be doing about 21 000
  913. MP damage with each attack. She can't take that for long and she can't
  914. lay a finger on you. 40 stun bombs and she's done.
  915. - To get a max ATP weapon for Sophia, just customize a Laser Weapon
  916. with five ATP +500s, one BoA and a Berserker's Pendant.
  917. - Leveling up IMPD won't be necessary, as it makes little difference
  918. (Lv1 gives Sophia a 0,6x multiplier. At Lv10, it's just 0,7x. This
  919. would give you about 25k MP damage instead of 21k).

1014. - Phase 1: Everything. ES not used all that much.
1015. - Phase 2 (<30%): Ether Strike used frequently. No spells. More susceptible

1017. - Thunder Flare is the greatest asset you can have in this battle, as
1018. it's quite consistent in interrupting her. It's particularly important
1019. in Phase 2. If you're not using Sophia, Adray or Nel, you'll have to
  1020. think of something else.
1021. - Right, so, you keep the action in one corner while your TF caster is
1022. in the opposite corner. There's really nothing else to it. You can safely
1023. expect her to take out your dps character from time to time (much more

1025. you have to run around to lose her. If you bring back your dps character

1027. - For the BTs, you can just use Mirage or Fayt with 5000+ DFP on Normal.
1028. On higher difficulty levels, use Energy Burst with stun bomb spam.
