SnK ep1 death count

Lockdown has started again and my PC is RIP at the moment so to pass time I've decided to count the death toll in SnK S04 and the first ep is full of it.

This is a big post and you are not feeling it, at least read the paragraphs with * sign on it.


Right at the beginning in 00:19 3 men are shown dead and within 01:00 10 more dies. (3 dies from gunshot, 1 from explosion and 6 off screen death).

*Now at 02:14, 21 boats are shown at the port which is the main reason Marley can't just take Fort Slava. Keep this in mind cz that will be on quiz later on.

After this we see Udo bandaging Falco cz he got hurt during the first scene and almost popped his head off cz he was angry at the army. Fortunately Gabi stepped in at the moment and stopped Udo and I couldn't add 1 more kill. Gabi really cares about her unit huh. I can totally NOT see her becoming an annoying character later on.

*After many dialogue scenes we see Gabi blowing up 1 armored train. Now the armored train has cars which each has 1 gun attached. That's 5 gunmen, including the driver Gabi just killed 6 people with no remorse. Wow, I can totally NOT see her scared in front of the enemy.

Due to the train getting derailed, it collapses a bunker, 1 die, another survives and he started shooting Gabi. He missed cz he was nauseous and Gabi has plot armor so the Jaw saver her and kills 2 people.

*Jaw, being wonder woman takes all the shot and Magath being Steve orders the Eldian unit which consists of 800 Eldians attack the fort. 5 dies in explosion, another 5 are shown dead and one soldier while got hurt stands up and see mass graves falling here and there. It was really hard to count them on my phone and counting a few graves I came up with the number 70, so yeah 70 Eldians dies due to bombs and guns.

We then see the Jaw killing 4 EF (east federation) soldier and Eldians coming from behind kills 3 more.

At 14:52, 35 Eldians are shown dead on the battlefield. I know they are not among the '70' batch cz they were not in mass graves but dispersed throughout the warzone.

*After this we see Reiner and Zeke coming from an airship with roughly 40 Eldians. This was probably the hardest to count cz they never were shown together. I had to count how many already fell from the airship and how many remained in the ship. I counted 36 but this seemed odd so rounded upto 40. It's not like Marley ever had a shortage of Eldians.

17:05 onwards a total of 7 EF soldier gets crushed by the falling titans and 7 got eaten.

Reiner drops to the heart of the fort and takes out 7 anti titan artillery, each having 3 soldiers to use those this, killing 21 in the process. And at 19:22 Reiner, at the cost of his hand destroys another Armored train killing 6 more. Reiner then faces several artillery at his face but Jaw saves him by killing 4 and Reiner then kills another 5 with the train.

*Up until now the death count reached 262 but it's not the end. Zeke drops as big monke and smashes big lizard left and right... oh wait wrong universe. Big monke needs to destroy the ships. Now how many did I say there were? If you remember 21 you are... incorrect. MAPPA drew 15 ships in this scene and forgot 6. Sigh, so anyway he did what he does best which is punching... goddamn it. He does throwing best and threw big chunks of shells at the ships. The ships fired back but Reiner takes them and big monke decimates the ships. Now there is no mention of how many people were at each ship and so this section is up to you to decide. For me, I counted 100 for each ship and that's 1500 kills by Zeke, making him the MVP.

And that's all for ep 1. Total death count stands  at 1762. Amazing and horrifying.

At the end Reiner is shown immobile due to taking the ship's fire power and that made me wonder how many times Reiner actually won just by him. Once, way back in s1, against Eren in the combat training. And the fandom teases only Eren for losing.
