backstory; ghost does something and friends end up pushing the girl off the cliff

ghost kind of drives people away from the area

josh just likes camping, cousins with sophie

sophie heard of a rumor at school about the woods being haunted, started the idea, is josh's cousin. likes to be around people.

christina is the only one who looked into the urban legend and knows the whole story

victoria is next door neighbors and really good friends with sam, but nothing more. aquaintences with erin as a result of sam. likes pastels on the walls.

sam is next door neighbor of victoria, not interested in erin. considers victoria to be a sister, nothing more. likes social media.

erin has a huge crush on sam, aquaintences with victoria but doesn't like that she's so close to sam. best friends with norah. fashionable.

kaitlyn, best friends with jess. likes to get on people's nerves

jessica, best friends with kaitlyn. practically fearless.

norah's closest friend in the group is erin, followed by sophie. really nice, but has a fragile ego. likes to make people happy.

plot;
sophie hears of urban legend from christina and christina's friends in school

sophie likes the idea of going there as a test of courage, asks people to go. gets josh involved because josh knows the woods

everyone meets up at sophie's, josh drives everyone to the woods? (could be sam and josh, to show people starting to show alliegences)

make it there with no problems. some small things are off when they arrive, like someone staring blankly into space in the parking lot and some worn out police tape

sophie reminds people of the story of the woods? could be christina

sophie gets excited, josh/jess don't care, sam/erin/victoria get kind of creeped out by christina, norah gets scared. kaitlyn starts making fun of norah, lightly

[at this point the story starts going in two different ways. the first is the erin/sam/victoria arc, the second is everyone else]

sam, victoria, josh, kaitlyn, jessica go collect wood/norah, sophie, erin, kaitlyn, christina at camp setting up the tents and stuff.
showcases victoria/sam's frienship, goes into how josh is an outsider kinda/kaitlyn and christina fail to set up some of the tents while norah talks about sam with erin (sophie could be a part of this? she could also be helping/failing to set up a tent)

join back together, josh starts fire. victoria/erin sit really close to sam. (here would be a good place to have sam and victoria to go on a walk alone) dusk gets closer, christina tells story and freaks people out even more.

[night hits]

things in the background start to escalate. branches start breaking in the background, etc.

kaitlyn and jessica ramp up the tension by faking things to scare norah. it's shown that erin could have stepped in but didn't to follow sam. norah leaves/erin learns that sam is going away to college or something and she confesses, but he rejects her

erin and norah meet at a cliff, ghost causes death of erin

[next day]

(black screen, voices calling out for erin)
