sleeping in her car at a truck stop on Sunday when she reportedly stumbled across the predicament,
waking up to discover the camel on her sofa with one of its testicles entangled in its hind legs.
The woman looked on in horror as the camel leaned over her, his penis being rammed into her nose and
left nostril. According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, the woman and her companion woke up to
find a camel stuck to their couch in the truck stop’s food court. They allegedly “got mad and tried
to grab it by its mane,” according to WAFB, before the “snout-to-nose fight” reportedly ended when
the woman bit the camel’s testicles. The camel was eventually freed and flown to an animal
sanctuary, with sheriff’s deputies reportedly securing an arrest warrant for the man who tied the
animal to the couch in the first place. He is now said to be in jail, but has not yet been charged,
at least not in the state of Louisiana. Louisiana law defines the crime of aggravated assault
against a camel as “unlawful abduction of a camel,” which means that a conviction can carry a
sentence of up to three years in jail. The owner of the animal is also said to be on the hook for
