  1. As per my village's orders, I have signed up for the “game” made by that Blue sage. Primary objective is to observe target known as Brian and his daily activities. Secondary objective is to explore this land known as London and send information back to the village.
  2.
  3. -Homura's recon mission log. Day one.-
  4.
  5. London is a strange land, buildings are greater than the ones back in Zipangu, and the streets are crowded with people. I wonder how those horseless carriages work, I'll send a sketch of one to the village when I get the chance.
  6.
  7. Target Brian is not in his home. I have no way of knowing where he went, so observing him will be delayed, instead, I should find a place to stay, the garden should be good for now.
  8.
  9. My clothing and my usual disguise are unacceptable for blending in. While the various forms of monsters in the area have been accepted, (I'm certain I saw the daughter of Lady Raiko fly past at one point) my mission requires me to hide my nature and the crowded streets could disrupt my illusions. As such, I'll have to send for new clothing in order to mingle with the people, I'm sure I have enough gold to do so.
  10.
  11. -Misson log, day tree-
  12.
  13. It appears that gold is not used in this land, or at least in terms I'm used to.
  14.
  15. Watching people in a large market owned by a man called Morrison, I've discovered that people use various coins and paper to shop for items, along with weird cards and machines that are strange to me. I will have to notify the village about this as well as contact the sage's so-called “Tengu network” to solve my monetary issue.
  16.
  17. I also need to ask about the small black mirrors people hold to their ears and speak into. It appears to be a way of communication, but I sense no magic from them. They remind me of rune tablets in a way.
  18.
  19. My exploration of target Brian's house lets has left me confused. Various items around make no sense, and at what point did people start putting tea in bags, or create boxes that hold Ice and chill food? And then there's the large black mirror, what is it with these things?
  20.
  21. My investigation into the house was put on hold as my target has returned, it is too early for us to meet, so I hid on the ceiling. He has not noticed me, and he shouldn't. Being caught so soon would be a disgrace to the village.
  22.
  23. -Mission log, day five-
  24.
  25. My contacts with the tengu network have pulled through. I was able to get the clothes and tools needed to disguise myself. The clothes are awkward, its hard to conceal my weapons and I cannot freely use my tail so I'll be at a disadvantage if trouble happens. I've taken to hiding a kunai in my sleeve more often thanks to it.
  26.
  27. I have now talked to Brian. He's nice, If a little nervous about when it comes to women. So far he thinks I am simply a tourist that is getting to grips with English culture, which I suppose is true to an extent. Half truths function better for me anyway.
  28.
  29. I asked him if we could meet up at a library so I can learn more about the land. He accepted, so we now have a daily meet up at the library. I'll out more about this new world when I'm not observing him. Anything of use I'll send back to the village.
  30.
  31. ~Mission log, day twelve~
  32.
  33. Between observing my target, talking to him, reading in the library, and exploration, I've got the basics of this world down.
  34.
  35. Learning more about my Target, it appears he had used the game but suffered a blackout so he doesn't know that a monster is here for him, believing his entry to be a fake one.
  36.
  37. Machines that run on lighting instead of the magic that the gremlins have forged, new ways to travel and explore, a history as varied and colourful as our own, this realm is stranger than I expected.
  38.
  39. I've gotten hold of a mobile phone (those black tablets I mentioned earlier), It's fiddly and complex, but the time spent with Brian to learn how it works was worth it. I still have problems with messaging as typing is something I need to master. I almost broke it when he revealed the camera, the thought of ninjas being caught so easily scares me. On the other hand, such tools could be used by the village for future missions.
  40.
  41. All the information I have learned will be with this report, along with sketches of machines. I'm uncertain of my accuracy on some of them, but Brian said he would show me how to print pictures from the camera.
  42.
  43. ~Mission log, day seventeen~
  44.
  45. Brian's starting to get suspicious, he's been telling his friends that he feels somebody watching him. I keep checking to see where I've gotten sloppy but it doesn't help, he's getting better at looking in my direction when I'm near him. That look of focus he has, I'm sure he knows I'm here, watching him go about his day, I don't know if he's made the connection between me and the library girl he talks with, but he's on edge regardless.
  46.
  47. He tells people about me, that I'm `Weird but interesting`. I admit that I have problems talking with people, but is it really that strange? Is this what the Elders husband meant when he called us `Awkward flowers`?
  48.
  49. I want to get closer to him, Maybe I should tell him about myself, that should help. But I'm not sure what to say, anything could lead to compromising my disguise.
  50.
  51. This mission is proving to be difficult.
  52.
  53. ~Misson log, day twenty-three ~
  54.
  55. I want him
  56.
  57. I want my target, I want Brian to be mine. But there is a problem, I can't just take him back to the village. Too many people know him and this world takes missing people seriously, worst case scenario is that his disappearance is blamed on monsters, causing trouble for the whole system.
  58.
  59. Preparations are in order, I will perform my assassination soon. I can't stop now, but I'll ask the elders for advice on what to do after I take him.
  60.
  61. ~X~
  62.
  63. Brian was paranoid. Or at least his friends said he was.
  64.
  65. Someone was following him, he was sure of it. It had started almost a month ago with the feeling of someone watching his every move, making him look around every now and again just to make sure he was just imagining things.
  66.
  67. But the presence got greater as the days went by and now he was feeling it everywhere, getting to the point where he could pinpoint where the feeling was coming from, but he still couldn't find anything.
  68.
  69. On the bright side, he had met Homura. She was a quite tall Japanese woman with long black hair and a sort of reserved personality. He bumped into her on the street and she awkwardly asked him how to get to a library. This had somehow rolled into him meeting her daily after work to answer her questions.
  70.
  71. She was an oddball in his book, She spoke in a near emotionless formal tone, made almost no sound when she walked (more than once spooking him by turning up unannounced), had almost no knowledge of current technology and took notes and sketches of nearly everything she had seen. She said she was sending her notes and findings back to her village that sent her here to explore on their behalf. The more things she asked about, the more he wondered how she even got to London, let alone how her village works.
  72.
  73. Still, the presence that followed him became familiar the more time he spent with Homura... a thought that was bugging him throughout the day. He getting more certain that she was the one following him.
  74.
  75. Sitting by the the open window in his living room a thought came too him... what if he just asked Homura out, if she wasn't the stalker he could enjoy a date with a woman that was growing on him fast, if she was, then he would see how things go and at least get why she was stalking him.
  76.
  77. Decision made, He dialled her number, chucking to himself as he remembered helping her out with a phone and her normally stoic face looked confused at every feature.
  78.
  79. He heard a song play outside, that caught his attention, it was a simple tune, but it was the one he had set for Homura when he helped her... and it was coming from his garden. He slowly pressed the hangup button and the tune stopped.
  80.
  81. Homura was in his garden? What? Why?
  82.
  83. Quickly, Brian ran out into the garden looking around. There wasn't anything around, did she run away? He cursed himself, if Homura was the stalker the quiet way she carried herself was more than enough to evade him.
  84.
  85. Wait... the shed! He almost never used the shed so he didn't lock it, so maybe she's hiding in there? It was so dumb it might actually work. He walked over to the shed, and preparing for a fight if things went south, he threw the door open. She wasn't in there, but he was still surprised by what he saw.
  86.
  87. His tools were all neatly set to one side and the space filled with folded clothes. On his worktable were cases of kunai knives, shuriken, scrolls and other items he wasn't sure about. The table also held a familiar sketchbook and an (if he remembered correctly) ninjato in its sheath.
  88.
  89. Brian slowly picked up the sword, examining the floral design on it and the blue cloth wrapped around the handle. He was about to draw the blade out to take a look when he felt something cold and sharp against his neck that made him freeze.
  90.
  91. “You do realise that it is not nice to go through a ladies belongings right?” The female voice was cold, but he was now sure he knew who it was.
  92.
  93. He swallowed his fear and spoke. “The same can be said for living in my shed without me knowing, Homura.”
  94.
  95. The blade at his neck twitched and lightly scraped his chin. He was sweating up a storm. “Stupid infernal contraption... you were not supposed to find out this way,” she said.
  96.
  97. Brian was confused, if it wasn't for the blade at his neck he would have turned around “...I was meant to find out?”
  98.
  99. “I was making plans to... claim you. You would have found out then as we...” for the first time since he met her, Homura sounded unsure.
  100.
  101. “When we what?”
  102.
  103. The blade moved up from his chin and stroked his cheek and. “When we had our union...” Homura almost whispered.
  104.
  105. Brian felt lost “I... you like me that much?”
  106.
  107. “We were told that those who join the wizards game were compatible with those they meet, I observed you and, well...” She was having a really hard time explaining herself.
  108.
  109. Brian picked up on something “The Wizards game...I had the real thing?” he felt the pressure of the blade being lifted away from him and turned around to face her.
  110.
  111. Homura looked like the `sexy nurse` version of a ninja. But what caught his eye was the long tail with the blade tip along with small bat wings.
  112.
  113. “I know what you're thinking, Brian. relations between human and monster changed over the millennia since the demon lord took power, and their more friendly in Zipangu. The kunoichi of our world are a now an offshoot of the succubi.” she explained.
  114.
  115. So the roulette sent him a demon ninja? ...that explained a lot actually, what with the stalking, lack of technological knowledge and all that. “So what happens no-” His question was cut off from a bird call outside. Homura's eyes widened before she ran out the shed... Brian ran out after her to find and was surprised to see Homura with a scroll in her hand, using the other hand to pet a falcon on her shoulder. “A bird?”
  116.
  117. “This is my messenger falcon. It's carrying a message from the village.” She said undoing the scroll and reading it. Brian let her read it and watch as she started to twitch along with her face going red.
  118.
  119. “What does it say?” Brian asked.
  120.
  121. “The village elders are pleased with my reports... they've made me leader of a new branch family.” She spoke slowly in awe. “I am to start village here for future Kunoichi... with my target.”
  122.
  123. “Well, congratulation on your- wait, target?” Brian was a bit worried.
  124.
  125. “Men who are the targets of kunoichi...” she explained as she stepped forward, Brian has been with her long enough to see the joy in her eyes. “Are taken as husbands and eventually moved to the village, it's the greatest mission we could take. But with this, we get to start our family right here.”
  126.
  127. In what looked like a flash Homura had closed the distance, pulled down her mask and kissed Brian. He was so startled he buckled backwards and taking her down with him, that didn't stop her kissing and touching as she straddled his legs. With a swiping motion of her hand, his shirt buttons became undone.
  128.
  129. “How did you-” Brian was cut off by another kiss.”
  130.
  131. Homura smiled softly it was the most open expression he had ever seen. “Ninja have to have some secrets, right?”
  132.
  133. “Right...” Brian said as he leaned his head up to kiss her while feeling that tail of hers around moving across his trousers. “Hey careful with that thing!”
  134.
  135. ~X~ (Days later, morning)
  136.
  137. “I still don't get this thing.” Homura groaned. “If it makes a noise while vibrating, why is it called silent?”
  138.
  139. She was still trying to figure out her phone. She had taken well to most forms of tech, but the phone stumped her to no end. They had been at this for a while now Homura was getting increasingly irritated.
  140.
  141. “You still need a way of finding out if you're getting a call,” Brian explained.
  142.
  143. “But can't I just follow you around?” she asked.
  144.
  145. “...surely you can think of better things to do than that,” Brian said. While he had accepted Homura and her quirks, being stalked from the shadows was a bit unsettling.
  146.
  147. On the plus side, Kunoichi have no problems with sharing information about themselves with their husbands. It was what help him calm down about the stalking.
  148.
  149. Homura looked away with a heated face “...Most of them involve doing things with you.”
  150.
  151. “Well it's gotta be boring watching me at work, there's not much you can do to liven it up,” Brian said.
  152.
  153. “...I've got an idea...” Homura said. A gleam was starting to shine in her eye. Brian could see the gears turning in her head
  154.
  155. “What are you planning?” Brian asked suspiciously.
  156.
  157. “Go to work today, I'm sure can I make work more... exciting” She said chuckling before kissing his cheek and disappearing in a puff of smoke.
  158.
  159. Brian was worried. While Homura had become more open with emotions after their first time, he also learned that she could be very inventive in bed. He shivered at the memory of that one time with the kunai... and shifted awkwardly in his chair when he also remembered it wasn't an unpleasant experience.
  160.
  161. He just hoped whatever plan she had would not get him fired.
