  1. Chapter 1: When Harry met Gandalf.
  2.
  3. After the war, Dumbledore asked Harry what his career actually was. Harry replied that he was studying magic and that Dumbledore was an ungrateful little son. He told Dumbledore that he had been working in the Ministry when Voldemort came to power, and that he had become too much of a burden. Dumbledore responded that if Harry had known how Voldemort would behave towards himself he would have told Voldemort first. Harry thought that Dumbledore was very nice and told Dumbledore that he was glad that he was finally working again after being told of the Dark Lord since he was worried that he would die from exposure to the sun. Dumbledore replied that he did not doubt Harry and did not think that Harry would ever become a better man than he was now.
  4.
  5. Then, Dumbledore told Harry about that night he met Gandalf, the first time Harry ever met Gandalf. Gandalf had met the Order of the Phoenix. Gandalf told Harry that he knew Dumbledore and Voldemort would have to be destroyed to ensure that no further threats arose. When asked if Harry saw himself serving as someone like Gandalf who needed to rule his people, Harry told Gandalf that the Lord of the Rings told them that they needed a dragon to help them. "A dragon," Harry said, "is the personification of the gods and their love for their people." He then turned to the old wizard, who asked, "Who was your dad?" He replied, "Dad is the son of H.P. Lovecraft."
  6.
  7. Harry spoke of the power, wealth, and honor of the universe and said what it meant to him that one of the people who had influenced him through it was in the history books and, now he thought, for the most part alive, although he wasn't sure how he would know. When asked what his favorite book was, Harry laughed. "The Little Prince, by John Steinbeck."
  8.
  9. Gandalf, sitting in the front row at the dinner table, laughed once more as Harry told him of his love of literature and said, "I'm not sure where he got that idea from. I can't remember."
  10.
  11. "The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien," Harry responded.
  12.
  13. His conversation with Gandalf soon drew the attention of a girl and her friends, whom he had met at Oxford after he had taken up his scholarship. When he informed them of his desire to spend a year there, Gandalf agreed, and the couple were married three years later. When he came to the kingdom and found himself involved in its politics, Gandalf gave the young maid and her sisters permission to go back into their ancestral homeland. Later on, she became a leading member of his household.

  17. Gandalf was born in 1372 into the famous Gandalf family of Valinor. After a series of troubles among the hobbits and their servants, he had to leave his home in an effort to find his parents. There, he joined with his mother and his younger nephew, Silviana. After the death of Gandalf's mother (who had been imprisoned by the goblins for trying to escape the clutches of the evil Dúnedain) on 1 July 1374, the only thing she wanted to do was to keep her son safe, if only so she could return safely to her beloved home of Isengard. She chose not to allow that, so she asked for Gandalf to stay with her instead of traveling to Isengard. That year, the four children and their father spent the summer with Gandalf in Quenta Silmarillion.

  19. A little later, it became apparent that the war had broken out again, that Sauron had defeated Galadriel, and that Rohan would be the last of the nations to see Sauron.
  20.
  21. The youngest had decided, as a rule, not to stay in the Shire because he was too young. He instead stayed in the country of Eriador where his grandfather was staying with the dwarves. Gandalf, of course, came along soon afterwards, as did many warriors later on. It was at least by this time that the War had spread to Rivendell, as many orcs had settled there (much to the relief of Galadriel). In Rivendell, the children learned about the battle, and learned the nature of the war. Most believed that they were victorious and were in the path of Morgoth's final assault--but others believed that they had killed Galadriel herself (though it would appear that she had not actually done so).
  22.

In the early autumn of 650 AC, a new war broke out between the High Elves and the Silmarils of Eriador, now with GalIn the early autumn of 650 AC, a new war broke out between the High Elves and the Silmarils of Eriador, now with Galadriel as their supreme ruler, on the one side and the Noldor on the other. The Silmarils, led by the King of the Noldor, attempted to seize power from the High Elves by overthrowing Elwë, son of Isildur, the old elf king. Elwë managed to escape to Shienar, where the war ended (though many fled to Valinor). As one of their leaders, Eru took the Noldor to Shire-land, where Shire Elves made a treaty with the Silmarils allowing the warring to continue. One result was that Shire elves now had a free reign of control in Eriador and the Noldor. However, with the death of Elwë, the Silmarils fled to the south and Galadriel was forced to choose between the Silmarils or Elenwen, the daughter of Isildur and daughter of Isildur of the Noldor.
  24.
  25. Elenwen, however, did not believe a woman should have the right to rule or live in what is now Eriador. She became Queen of the Sindarin-speaking Silmarils and ruled them as a queen ever since. After Eiríin died, she became queen over all the elven-speaking lands of the Empire (though she did not grant the power that she later earned in her rule). In the War of the Ring, she was finally stripped of her throne and banished to Naglfar. She would have stayed in Mordor for quite some time had she not been slain by a Nazgûl after her escape from Naglfar, however, she eventually reached Azlant and was crowned king there in 1179 IC (the time is unclear; she may have died in exile in High Rock in the 7th century IC, and so is unknown to us).
  26.
  27. For the next several generations, Galadriel would play an important role in Middle-earth's history. She would play a supporting role in both the quest of the Lord of the Rings and the campaign of the Third Age. Her actions and legacy were so important that many of the events of the War of the Ring occur after her death, during the latter part of the War, and she had a major role in the conflict. This is probably why it comes down to the War of the Ring.

  30.
  31. Harry Potter was born on 6 November 1922. His full name was Harry Benjamin Potter Jr. His last known address was 816 North Main Street. His family were from Great Bridge, New Jersey. He was the son of Harry Potter Sr and his wife, Rita Dolohov. His father was born in 1930 and his mother was raised in Great Bridge, New Jersey and her name was Mrs. Mary Joanne Evans. He was the fifth child of Harry Potter and Rita Dolohov and their daughter, Hermione Granger, was born in 1952.
  32.
  33. After having a baby in July of 1970, Harry moved his family into his home's second floor suite and changed the locks on the bedroom door and removed the windows so he could live there his whole life. He then built a small room in his living room as a couch to entertain him. In October of 1995, he moved to a suite where he still lives with his parents, his best friend, Hermione Granger.
  34.
  35. Harry took part in many tournaments held in the Wizarding World, most notably at Hogwarts. During one tournament held in the village of Eastwick, as part of an evening party, Harry played chess with Ron, Ron had a terrible game and couldn't take enough damage, Hermione took advantage and took all the pieces before Harry stopped the game, leaving Ron shocked. Harry quickly returned the pieces back to Ron, but Hermione, who knew Harry had a crush on her friend, was still upset and made a scene, trying to get Harry to pay her back with anger. Harry was quite unhappy and told Hermione to go her own way.
  36.
  37. Later on in the evening, Harry heard Sirius yelling at Ron, calling him names and screaming at him to run. It seemed as if Harry was watching Sirius constantly and Sirius seemed to be getting into a fight with an enemy of Voldemort. Harry knew Sirius had had to face Tom Riddle in the last fight but he did not know if Sirius was a member of the Order of the Phoenix or just a member of the Death Eater's gang. Sirius had taken Sirius' soul back to the Ministry of Magic and so Harry believed the boy to be a member of Voldemort's Death Eaters.
  38.
  39. Then, during dinner, Harry overheard Sirius complaining to Ron and Hermione about Hermione. He saw that Hermione was about to go home to her aunt and uncle and so he made it clear to Ron and Hermione that they do not have to go with him. Ron reluctantly agreed to go as they both understood they had to go back home when they are tired and not ready to go. But Sirius, knowing Hermione's family is the Order of the Phoenix and was one of Voldemort's Death Eaters, could not let them go back home and he was determined to make sure that they all made their way back safely. He had put aside some money from the Dursleys, even taking out one for himself, for the safe return of his own son.
  40.
  41. He went all the way down to where Dumbledore is and there is a great hall right on the edge of the library. He knows a few places to park. He finds a spot by the head table and places his wand, waiting for it to become ready, as he looks around. He looks around the room and then starts to walk around the room slowly moving forward. He stops in a corner where he can see the door to the Great Hall that was left unlocked. He takes a deep breath, and it is then that he is able to see the Slytherins, a small group of them, sitting in the Slytherin common room waiting for their day at the Dursley's.
  42.
  43. 'I hope you boys don't mind,' is all he repeats into his ear the word. 'I am just checking my head and if they are all up to par,' he continues into his ear and that is the answer he gets, they all are, except for his son Sirius who is still a baby.
  44.
  45. ---
  46.
  47. Harry was still laughing when Gandalf became brutally more serious. The atmosphere was clearly more tense and he couldn't help but notice how Ron's hand was trembling.
  48.
  49. "Harry," the boy stuttered softly. "Do you know what I think Voldemort would do to you?"
  50.
  51. "Dumbledore would certainly kill you," Ron finally managed. He wasn't actually talking about Voldemort but the way the word was worded was. A more suitable name would have been Dumbledore-Kill-you–or was this going to be Harry-Ouch? Ron's hand trembled violently as he tried to say the word.
  52.
  53. "He'll just have to kill you in retaliation," Ron assured his friend.
  54.
  55. "I know," Harry gritted his teeth, trying to keep up.
  56.
  57. He glanced down at his brother's pale face but was too late. Hermione had already grabbed Ron's wand and placed it between Harry's eyebrows by the time he recovered enough to try and push something against his forehead, but Ron was too late to dodge the spell, falling on his back and screaming like a cat.
  58.
  59. Harry was stunned and his brother collapsed and was unable to make head or tail of the situation, just groveling for a quick meal and trying to remember a spell. His thoughts were interrupted by Hermione calling a final prayer that she knew nothing about The Ring of Life, just how great it was, or how it had done such wonders to his brother, but only had known it was here.
  60.
  61. His brother had been completely overcome with a tremendous desire to share it with him, and yet he needed to be able to explain a little bit of the workings.
  62.
  63. In a few moments Harry and Hermione would be gone, Harry and Hermione gone, with it now being quite the task to explain the workings even if Harry couldn't explain it to them, they had been through plenty together. Hermione had known that Dumbledore must be a bit of a wizard since he had been her uncle, since she had been a pure-blood child himself after hearing of his uncle's deeds.
  64.
  65. There was no reason to be surprised, just as there were no reason not to be surprised.
  66.
  67. [ A/N: It's quite a different story than I had initially written, since I didn't have to worry about Harry going through Dumbledore's vault in order to prove that he wasn't trying to do this... I just wanted to bring that to an end and get a good conclusion. ]
  68.
  69. Nobody had ever saw Gandalf with such a serious tone in his eyes. He was slowly looking at both Harry and Hermione, and started to speak even more slowly: "Well, we must not look at each other. You are going to need to find your own way back to that house and your own body, Harry. You, and you do not want you or me, to ever look at us."
  70.
  71. Harry sighed but managed to stifle his rage in a fit of laughter. It was like watching his best friend grow up. He knew the man was a complete idiot, but somehow he felt so much less jealous now. He did, though, realise it was a little creepy seeing Ron sitting in the corner with a few of his friends talking about his secret lover. This must have been why he looked so nervous – maybe they really were in love...
  72.
  73. With such an interesting face, though, it was hard to feel anything but curiosity as he finally found his way home, finding a spot and taking his time opening curtains just in case he met a ghost.
  74.
  75. Hermione and Harry were quickly walking out through the front door as soon as they heard someone enter. "Hello, everyone! Harry, Ginny, Ginny, get out of here!" they said, pointing in the direction of the living room. Everyone else just walked in and shut the door on them.
  76.
  77. Suddenly the two hobbit who were hiding in Harry's house came running back towards the front gate. It happened so fast that they missed being spotted by the people of the castle. Hermione stood off to the side of the road from where Harry was. She had been watching the people with her mouth wide and eyes wide and trying to form words."Oh, my gosh I hope you don't regret being here." she said.
  78.
  79. "We were just getting ready from dinner and were stopped by a wizard who came down the road and gave us all strange looks." she added. "We had no idea so we went back and just kept quiet until we got back so that we didn't attract attention."she said. The next few days were even better. There were many meetings with Muggles and many wizards and witches who knew about Dumbledore trying to gather power in Britain.
  80.
  81. But after a while Ron and Hermione found they had to learn to control their thoughts. They started going out there and staying at the inns and keeping close tabs to what was happening. Harry had spent a lot of time watching and learning to understand what was going on in Britain and it brought some smiles to Ron's face when he remembered when he came to Hogwarts at the age of seven.
  82.
  83. He started to learn the meaning of magic from his mother and sister and had taken many of the spells the Dursleys taught before."I felt I could not stop him," Emma said, "because a curse had come upon him to stop me from trying."He had a scar on his forehead for this." I said, knowing her words wouldn't stop him.
  84.
  85. His parents had died, his father had been beaten up and killed by Dumbledore and he was now being looked after by the people who were supposed to take care of him?
  86.
  87. My daughter didn't believe this as a possibility, her mother had died of a cancer which turned into a fatal form in his later years, and she now felt like her father was trying to hurt her.
  88.
  89. "I didn't know what to think when his mother died - but what can you do when that isn't what magic actually means?" I asked, as I put the book over in his bedroom."I knew for certain that it wouldn't be okay," she said, "the things I was seeing out his eyes told me that - and what he said was something quite awful.""The things I didn't see was any of you believing it," I said."So what were you going to do?" asked Emma
  90.
  91. "Nothing much. I didn't want to hurt him if he said something and I didn't want his anger to cause any more harm than necessary.
