  1. This is Dermot's Mod for Minecraft 1.0.0, updated as of 4 December 2011.
  2.
  3. Modifications:
  4.
  5. * The forest biome's tree spawning algorithm has been changed to spawn normal
  6. oak trees, large oak trees and birch trees in equal probability. This also
  7. helps fill out the forest canopy with the larger trees.
  8. * The extreme hills biome and the islands of the ocean biome attempt to spawn
  9. trees in the same manner and density as the forest biome.
  10. * The extreme hills biome's moisture is set to maximum.
  11. * The swamplands biome's color scheme has been normalized to green plants and
  12. blue water.
  13. * NPC villages can spawn in any biome of the normal dimension, including ocean
  14. and extreme hills. When they spawn in the ocean, the houses appear just above
  15. the surface of the water, like the city of Venice.
  16. * Red flowers and yellow flowers spawn at equal probability.
  17. * Random melon patches can be found, which spawn in exactly the same way as
  18. random pumpkin patches.
  19. * When a glass block is broken, it yields a sand block resource. Glass pane
  20. blocks still shatter into nothing.
  21. * A single block of wool can be crafted into four threads.
  22. * Clay blocks and pieces of clay have had their color changed in the default
  23. textures to match that of red brick blocks, so that the terra cotta color now
  24. makes sense.
  25. * Sheep random color spawning is changed. They spawn with a 50% chance of
  26. being white, with the other 50% being a random pick of one of the other 15
  27. colors, each with equal probability.
  28. * Sheep can now regrow their fleece, on average after about two Minecraft days.
  29. * Sheep can be milked in exactly the same way as cows.
  30. * Cows drop dirt block resources on average about 8 times per Minecraft day.
  31. This makes dirt a renewable resource. Try not to think too hard about what
  32. the dropped dirt is supposed to represent.
  33. * Chickens, cows, pigs, sheep and zombies and zombie pigmen all have a chance
  34. of dropping bones when they die, in addition to their other normal drops.
  35. * Wolves can spawn in the nether, at the same probability they spawn in the
  36. taiga biome. Wolf entities are programmed to behave in different ways in the
  37. nether than they do in the normal dimension.
  38. * Untamed nether wolves have twice the maximum hit points of normal dimension
  39. untamed wolves. Likewise, tamed nether wolves have twice the maximum hit
  40. points of normal dimension tamed wolves.
  41. * Nether wolves are immune to fire, lava and falling, and they will not burn.
  42. They will float in lava, though otherwise will still be reluctant to approach
  43. or swim around in it. (Bug: Nether wolves still generate water splash
  44. particles during their interaction with lava and when they shake themselves
  45. dry afterward.)
  46. * Untamed nether wolves will attack nearby zombie pigmen.
