- Description: Kyle gave a ride to Lopez and Carter in his car. When they reached the base of Sunrise mountain, one of them pulled out a pistol and asked Kyle if he wanted to die. Kyle replied that he didn’t want to die, and that they could take whatever they wanted. He was then shot 3 times, before pair took his car and drove off, only to return 2 days later to burn the body with gasoline. Kyle’s parents had to have a closed casket funeral. Lopez was shot and killed by police the next day when he attempted to escape after being arrested.
