  1. [14:52] Having awakened from his brief glimpse of the underworld, casually called a nap, the necromancer would finally act! Where the first creature he would see was the undead he had encountered - and which he would be using for some testing.
  2.
  3. His necromancy project.
  4.
  5. "I've been looking for you recently, we have to start testing! Then..." He would pause, his gaze turning towards Synesia and his hand being extended towards the Councilwoman.
  6.
  7. Through the manipulation of blood, the Fleshcrafter would take control of the woman's body! And so he would start lifting her into the air, bringing her towards him..
  8.
  9. "It's time to work, come on, come on!" He would say one last time before starting to float as he waved to the undead and brought his apprentice with him, towards the sewers!
  10. (Nidaz)
  11. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12.
  13. [14:52] Synesia is lifted; once fucking more.
  14. (Synesia Artra)
  15.
  16. [15:02] Then the trio would go to the lab! Being guided by the necromancer through the unfounded corridors of the sewers of Achyon, passing through countless rows of the undead.
  17.
  18. His personal army.
  19.
  20. Upon arriving at the main structure, it was already noticeable at the entrance a colossal creature with a beastly appearance of a rat, which was devouring some bodies quietly in its corner. And the group would just pass through that being, without bothering such thing..
  21.
  22. It was better this way.
  23.
  24. Inside the facility, they would descend further into the depths, until finally reaching the lab! Which this time it was as usual, full of boxes, chairs and tables. Everything that was needed in a laboratory - it was there.
  25.
  26. As expected.
  27.
  28. "Well then…" he mumbled, making Synesia fall back into the chair, before turning to Clunk, "My dear undead, could you tell me more about yourself? Mainly how did you come to emerge in this world?
  29.
  30. Also.. Doyou have a soul?" His firm voice was issued and questions asked, where from inside a rift a piece of paper was taken out, which he would use for notes.
  31. (Nidaz)
  32. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  33.
  34. [15:17] The Skeletons body had always been one to rattle. To the very sole of his Febula, to the bottom of his bones, to every crevice within his interior, Clunk shook to the core, shaking once Nidaz reached out for him.
  35.
  36. It was instinct to obey their superior.
  37.
  38. "RATTLE. RATTLE.
  39.
  40. WHO AM I? NO ONE. I CAME INTO THE WORLD AS A PEASANT. MY KING-"
  41.
  42. A bony finger scraped his head slightly, trying to piece together prior details.
  43.
  44. "EMPEROR CLANK. I SERVED EMPEROR CLANK FOR MY ENTIRE LIFE. ONE DAY I WOKE UP THERE.
  45.
  46. ...DO I HAVE A SOUL? DOES CLUNK NOT HAVE A SOUL?
  47.
  48. I DO. IF CLUNK DID NOT HAVE SOUL, CLUNK WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO REMEMBER LIFE."
  49. (Clunk)
  50. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  51.
  52. [15:23] Guided into the sewers they were, and Synesia was, once again, here 'against' her will. She had been dragged here through the manipulation of her own blood, and there was no resistance from her!
  53.
  54. Because she couldn't resist - and because she would surely help with another one of his projects.
  55.
  56. On their way down, that same 'ratogre' could be seen -- the one she was all too accustomed with at this point. Finally arriving in Nidaz's laboratory, she was, once again, forcibly sit down - the Captain's 'grip' finally ceasing as she could... move freely again.
  57.
  58. Some questions were asked to the Docro skeleton, Clunk, of which they were immediately answered and... there was an eyebrow quirked at that.
  59.
  60. What.
  61.
  62. And... just what were they going to do here, also...?
  63.
  64. Synesia was confused.
  65. (Synesia Artra)
  66. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  67.
  68. [15:33] As answers to the questions were provided, the necromancer wrote everything down! Mainly the fact that he had a soul, something that was plausible because he still had his memories of the past!
  69.
  70. Even though those looked a little weird.
  71.
  72. "Fascinating, I should probably also analyze the Clank-thing, but for now…" He would pause, finishing his notes and dropping these into the hands of one of his undead servants who were standing next to him.
  73.
  74. It was this being's turn to write it down.
  75.
  76. "I'm going to analyze your circuits, for preparations and tests we'll be running during the takeover procedure!
  77.
  78. In addition to checking your soul, of course." He would readily explain, something very simple it seemed!
  79.
  80. But clearly it was more complex! For he would have to find a way to make Clunk dependent on his mana, so that the undead would become one of his servants - just like the others. But, one step at a time, first he wanted to take a look at the being's soul.
  81.
  82. As necessary.
  83.
  84. So, extending his hand forward, the High Councilman would touch Clunk's forehead and then say, "Let's do this then." With such uttered words, mana would begin to flow from Nidaz's hands and then invade the skeleton's body!
  85.
  86. It was time for tests.
  87. (Nidaz)
  88. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  89.
  90. [15:41] Explanations were given! And apparently, the Councilman was going to... simply analyze the skeleton's soul, for... a procedure of taking over?
  91.
  92. So he was going to become... one of his undead?
  93.
  94. There was a slight tilt of Synesia's head upon hearing those words, her calmer-than-before voice soon speaking up, "I understand proceedings you are going to be doing, Nidaz, but what role do I play in all of this exactly?"
  95.
  96. She was... rather confused on just why she had been called for this experiment. So she could watch? When she had transferred her mana into things that were living, during battles before...?
  97.
  98. There must've surely been another meaning, so... she stuck around, but only to hear the Councilman's response.
  99. (Synesia Artra)
  100. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  101.
  102. [15:48] With a simple nod, the bones within his structure had clattered in agreement. Clunk removed the finger from his cranium, before stretching out. "FIRST, I WILL WORK MY BONES SO THEY DONT GET RUSTY."
  103.
  104. Probably unneeded, but a process he sought to do before most situations.
  105.
  106. Suddenly, his femur bone fell off. Whoops. No issue, right? CLUNK reached to the floor, and re-attached it back onto his leg, chuckling.
  107.
  108. "OOPS! SOMETIMES MY BONES FALL OFF. A SIGN THAT I NEED MORE CALCIUM, YES. CLUNK WILL WORK ON ATTAINING CALCIUM, I APOLOGIZE."
  109.
  110. The creature listened deep into Nidaz's analyzation of his inner, skeletal structure; In response, Clunk nodded. Though to hear that Nidaz was going to check his soul was certainly a surprise.
  111.
  112. Perhaps he didn't have a soul after all. It was simply Clunk re-assuring himself that he had one, but was there truly any proof other than his existence?
  113.
  114. "...HMM. OKAY, I WILL PREPARE MYSELF FOR INSPECTION."
  115.
  116. Clunk squatted, and proceeded to...
  117.
  118. Discard every bone. Exactly Two-hundred and eight bones spread out, all waiting for examination.
  119.
  120. Probably an arduous task.
  121. (Clunk)
  122. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  123.
  124. [15:53] As the mana began to manifest, the creature would fall apart! Something would make the necromancer arch his eyebrow, before stopping the procedure.
  125.
  126. "No, no. Just stand still, what I'm going to look at is the magical circuitry that connects everything, not your body." He would say with a short sigh as he gestured for the creature to remount himself.
  127.
  128. Now, he kept losing body parts? Well that was a problem, but as a Fleshcrafter it could probably be fixed by Nidaz - easily enough. Creating connections made of flesh that would keep everything in place..
  129.
  130. It was something interesting to work on! And that they would be doing.
  131.
  132. Now - Synesia's question was answered as well, "Learning, manipulating of the circuits. Watch closely, so you can replicate such procedure in the future." He would explain by nodding a few times to his apprentice.
  133.
  134. Well, he needed to teach and there was no better way than through practice!
  135. (Nidaz)
  136. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  137.
  138. [15:59] The creature's femur fell apart! And to that... there was an arch of Synesia's eyebrow as well. He was most certainly an interesting creature, but...
  139.
  140. Weren't all Mire monsters interesting as well?
  141.
  142. There was yet another eyebrow raised when the skeleton began to just... dismount himself. Not only because of what he had just done, but also because... he didn't seem like the wisest of guys!
  143.
  144. Which was fine, considering that thing most likely doesn't have a brain.
  145.
  146. Though, her inquiry was soon answered, and to the Councilman there was a simple nod. After all, she truly needed to learn how to manipulate circuits! Even if she... probably wouldn't be using it anytime soon.
  147.
  148. Actually, now that she thinks about it, the combination of her blood and fleshcrafting... could make medicine a thousand times easier!...
  149.
  150. Mhm...
  151. (Synesia Artra)
  152. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  153.
  154. [16:01] {Item} You picked up Anti-Magic Restraint. Dropped by Morven Morfilod..
  155. [16:22] "OH. I AM VERY SORRY."
  156.
  157. Suddenly, every bone within his body crawled back, amalgamating into the gigantic skeleton he was. Each protein fibre within his body collided, a network of collagen coagulated together, and at last, he was back.
  158.
  159. Once he was returned to his former bony glory, he didn't move so much as a single bone.
  160.
  161. Instead, he veered his socketless eyes, pitch black and see able inside if at a certain angle. Curiously, Clunk couldn't help but wonder;
  162.
  163. What was the examination for? Was it to teach Synesia how to operate on creatures from the Mire? Whatever it was, it honoured Clunk to be the test subject Nidaz would use.
  164.
  165. Fully attended, he was perfectly still.
  166.
  167. Nothing could stop him.
  168.
  169. (Clunk)
  170. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  171.
  172. [16:35] Now it would be possible to work! Where again, the necromancer would extend his hand to the creature - touching Clunk at his forehead. Mana would begin to manifest, which was of clear Cosmic origin, but of a more distorted and sinister tone.
  173.
  174. The Gaping Maw of the Void.
  175.
  176. As soon as the mana manifested, it would begin to envelop Clunk in its icy embrace, invading its magical circuits without further delay, taking control over the filaments that spread through the creature's body.
  177.
  178. For him? The feeling was of his body going numb! Even though he didn't have what would normally let him feel such a sensation, but it was happening. For part by part the creature's body had its control stolen from him..
  179.
  180. By the High Councilman.
  181.
  182. A necessary step for this procedure.
  183.
  184. Filling every bit of the undead, the necromancer's mana would begin its way to the epicenter of all the strands of magic circuits! Until he found that which resideddeep in his being, the White Sphere.
  185.
  186. The Soul of a Living Being, but in this case, it was a dead being.
  187.
  188. The being really possess a soul, for if he didn't? Well, he would be just another empty shell - just like the countless minions the necromancer possessed, which permeated every corner of the sewers.
  189.
  190. "You really do own something, my dear undead friend." He commented, as he looked deeply into the being, "Your soul is housed deep in your circuitry, connected in a similar way to that of living beings.
  191.
  192. Yes, yes..
  193.
  194. It's no wonder you didn't have a master, as the fool who raised you probably forgot to get you under his control." He would start to speak in a rough voice, sighing briefly at the end..
  195.
  196. And to imagine that there were more necromancers out there who did stuff like this! It was an outrage, which offended the name of the art Nidaz practiced. Apparently, only he knew how to create true undeads.
  197.
  198. And only he.
  199. (Nidaz)
  200. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  201.
  202. [16:46] A necromantic touch collided with his skull, permeating a cosmic energy through his very cranium, down to every bone within his body. It modified itself, transfiguring into a much ominous purpose, clear that it's inception was that of sinister origin.
  203.
  204. Clunk had never been on the receiving end of the Void- But now? He would.
  205.
  206. The mana diffused out, capturing his skeletal structure whole, engulfing him in its frigid clutches, liberating him of a part of his body deriving directly from his circuitry, as though he were about to shut down.
  207.
  208. However...
  209.
  210. From the furthest focal point within the Skeleton, proof of his very life force was made apparent to Clunk, a belief the Skeleton had somewhat doubted.
  211.
  212. It was a bizarre ordeal, an experience that he would never forget. After all, it wasn't every day that a Skeleton would have it's soul snatched, inspected, and reinstated.
  213.
  214. A gruelling experience, one such deserving of the Necromancer's reputation.
  215.
  216. "CLUNK HAS SOUL? CLUNK IS SURPRISED. I WAS LONG FORGOTTEN BY MASTER, BUT NOW- I AM OWNED DIFFERENTLY.
  217.
  218. BY NECROMANCER NIDAZ.
  219.
  220. WHAT IS NEXT?"
  221. (Clunk)
  222. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  223.
  224. [16:53] Unfortunately it wouldn't be as easy as it seemed to take control of Clunk! Because as his soul was totally interconnected to its circuits, it would be necessary procedures to disconnect such and leave this one under the necromancer's influence! Make him dependent on the necromancer's mana to continue to exist and thus, under his control.
  225.
  226. Something that would be done soon.
  227.
  228. So, removing his hand from the skeleton's body, the mana would begin to disperse and control would return to the dead being, then the old man's voice resonated, "Not.. Yet, you're not under my control, yet! But soon you will be.
  229.
  230. Yes, yes..
  231.
  232. For now, I have what was needed to know so I could work deeper on you – besides, I'll ask you to prepare, as we'll soon do one more procedure." He would say firmly with a nod to the undead.
  233.
  234. Clearly Nidaz was powerful, but he had never before taken control of a pre-existing undead! This could be relatively complicated - but it was possible, and it would help in his research of true necromancy.
  235.
  236. "For now, let's return to Square, yes?" He would say as he gestured to the side and mana flowed from his hands.
  237.
  238. Beside them, the air would begin to split in half and a rift opened, a portal to the square - which they could use to return to the place.
  239. (Nidaz)
  240. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  241.
  242. [17:01] Clunk's bones crawled back into his 'body', and the Councilman could thusly begin his works. It was clear he was going to use his Void mana for that procedures, as he had used with pretty much every other procedure... so she was prepared for the whisperings and whatnot that would follow.
  243.
  244. Yet, none of that happened -- at least, not visibly, or not to her. Maybe she had grown accustomed to the voices, in a way that she thought they weren't there, when they actually were, but... that felt unrealistic, now didn't it?
  245.
  246. Though not much was visibly done, Nidaz still had the 'good will' of explaining just what he had done, in a way. Through assumptions, Synesia was able to come down with something: he made his mana flow into the skeleton's body until it found the creature's soul, which resided deep within their circuitry, 'changing' the mana that his former owner had deposited into his own! Thus making him... one of Nidaz's new flesh creatures -- but made out of bones.
  247.
  248. Bone creatures?
  249.
  250. Regardless, with that, Synesia had thought it was all done and dandy! Specially with the skeleton reassuring that Nidaz was his masster, but... soon came the Councilman's explanation, of which Synesia obviously listened with keen ears.
  251.
  252. So it wasn't over just yet?
  253.
  254. Though Synesia was left... with a lot of inquires, she decided not to ask any of them, instead deciding to simply nod at the Councilman's last line... and enter the rift like it was nothing and without even thinking twice -- nor once, for that matter.
  255.
  256. She hopes she doesn't end up in Osrona this time around.
  257. (Synesia Artra)
