- This was brought up in my chat last night and it's been in the back of my mind all day.
- Say we live in a world in the future where we make sentient robots that live amongst us like normal people a la Futurama. Now let's say one of those robots starts speedrunning video games. Since their brains are computers let's now say they could theoretically load the inputs of a TAS and play that through their own hands kinda like TASBot but with actual moving robot fingers instead. How do we determine if a robot is playing the game regularly to their own skill level and knowledge that they are developing over time just like us and not just a TAS inputted through their fingers? Do you just ban robots from speedrunning anything because this is a possible thing they can do?
