[15:31] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap looks over the records left open on her terminal while Logic manages to sneak out undetected
[15:32] * Logic sneaks on out. Right. As long as she didn't notice him, he got away with not being seen in that room again. That being said, he snuck around into the crowd in front of the stall with the stubbly stallion.
[15:33] <TenMihara|GM> The stallion works on his terminal very single mindedly, not really paying any attention to potential customers at the moment.
[15:36] * Logic sits down across from it a way, waiting for something to happen. As long as he wasn't noticed in the crowd and got to see his gambit go down, he was happy.
[15:37] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap eventually makes her way down to the Stallion's stall. She takes a quick look around for Logic, still being reasonably certain he was the one who had gone into the security office without permission.
[15:40] <TenMihara|GM> Although he does a good job of blending in, Bottlecap knows Logic, and spots his unique mane in the crowd. She points to him and mouths something before turning to address the stallion.
[15:41] * Logic sighs, then casts a spell over himself to look like a red-haired stallion who may or may not be the facade of a porn star.
[15:43] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap gets the stallion to look away from his terminal as she addresses him. "You neglected your rent a few months back. A friend of mine showed me something in my records that I overlooked."
[15:44] <TenMihara|GM> The stallion moves around his stall as he replies, "I'm aware of my finances. Last month was an oversight owing to a brief absence on my part." He pulls out an old cash register.
[15:52] * Logic silently listens and waits for the scene to play out.
[15:54] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap taps a hoof impatiently. The stallion fishes out a thousand bottlecaps, "Consider this my missed rent, along with any late fees you might wish to incur."
[15:55] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap takes the caps and counts them, then gives him have a hundred of them. "Don't think you can butter me up, and don't do it again."
[15:57] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap slips back into the crowd and looks for Logic. She doesn't see him, not knowing he was capable of illusory appearance changes like that
[15:59] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap heads back up to the security room and posts a note on the door.
[16:04] * Logic waits for Bottlecap to go back into her office and then proceeds to sneak away and drop the illusion. He blends in with the crowd and casts a "Come to Life" spell onto the note to let it come to him.
[16:06] <TenMihara|GM> The note reads: 'Logic, I don't know what you're up to, but please come to my office.'
[16:17] * Logic exhales. He knew he was just going to get chewed out. This was how it worked, he goes to the office, he gets chewed out, he brings up perfectly valid points, and then she beats him up for the trouble. Screw that. Why bother going when the result is predetermined against his favor? He read comics. There was always a good option. He fought with himself, but then thought better for some reason...
[16:17] * Logic ...or another. Maybe habit had a role in it. But hell if he was actually going to face the brunt of the damage. He summoned up a simulacrum of himself to stand at the door, whereupon he knocked on it and hid himself away, leaving the simulacrum in front to face her wrath.
[16:18] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap comes to the door, "Come in please, and have a seat." She gestures to the chair
[16:20] * Logic creeps up to the door to listen whereupon the simulacrum sat down silently.
[16:22] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap gives a bit of a sigh. "Now, Logic, I have to ask... what is this really about? Did that guy do something to you and your friends, or what? Sneaking around behind my back is a great way to make yourself look suspicious, at least if I didn't know you so well. So what is it, really?"
[16:28] * Logic 's phantom shrugs. "Short answer? I don't trust him. You want the long one?"
[16:29] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap nods, "Yes please."
[16:34] * Logic sighs, then goes into a small speech. "First off, tricked us into walking into a Steel Ranger den. Second off, he asked us to get a top secret MAS thing, and if you've had to dig through a deranged bug's mind to find out where it cracked and it turned out that it's something that your girlfriend and all your friends nearly died because and it's a top secret MAS thing? You'd be paranoid, too. Third off, the fact that he was willing to pay my stupid friend up and yet forgot to pay you for rent reeks of shadiness."
[16:36] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap listens to Logic and nods, "Okay, so the MAS was one of the pre-war ministries right? What exactly do you think he's going to do with that information he paid you for? Normally I'd say it's his business and you should deal with it, but I admit that missing money usually points to other things."
[16:41] * Logic shifts in his seat to sound realistic. "Top priority for the MAS at the end of the war, as far as I can tell, was to pump out a bunch of taint for some awful reason according to a study I found in a hazardous waste depository. Two head doctors of the MAS, the Gestalt Twins, most likely worked on it, or at least were in the know, and that's their file. And a whole hive of changelings got fucking mind screwed and horribly mutated by this stuff. I don't know what that stuff is supposed to do, but I suspect if it's worked on, it's going to be horribly mutagenic.
[16:42] * Logic shrugs. "I don't /know/ what he's going to do with it, but there's only so much it can be if you're not collegiate and you're working on a thing like this."
[16:43] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap nods, "And are you sure that's what's in the files he asked for?"
[16:46] * Logic rolled his eyes. "Nope. That's why I went for his records in the security room instead to read into his character." Alright, so it was more that he screwed up and panicked, but she didn't need to know that.
[16:47] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap nods, "So you don't trust him on the grounds that he was willing to pay a large sum for top-secret information, that -might- pertain to a dangerous mutagen?"
[16:51] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap looks to Logic for confirmation of her summation
[16:53] * Logic shrugs. "Sounds about right. I got my cutie mark in unfucking ponies and pony-like things' heads. I don't want more business than I can manage to fix."
[16:54] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap blinks, "Wait, you got your cutie mark? Since when?"
[16:55] * Logic raises his hoof. "Although, I will raise the point that regardless of what he's actually doing with that thing, you probably don't want him doing it under your roof." He ponders. "Eh. Around three days ago? Turns out that I'm a psychomancer. I screw with heads." He lifts his lab coat to show it off.
[16:56] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap looks impressed, "Not sure what that means, but congratulations." She smiles at him. "As for that stallion, he's been a decent client thus far. He came here and set up after his wife died, specializing in pre-war arcano-tech."
[16:57] * Logic tilts his head. "Tragic. How long ago was this?"
[17:02] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap pulls up something on her terminal. "Two years ago."
[17:06] * Logic rubs his phantom chin. "What's his name?"
[17:09] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap responds: "Collage."
[17:09] * Logic feels a dull thud of recognition, as if he should know that name.
[17:12] * Logic exhales. "I don't suppose you'd mind if I asked you to keep tabs on him?"
[17:16] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap looks curious, "Any reason you haven't just asked him?"
[17:19] * Logic raises his eyebrow. "He made it a point that he wanted to be alone. And outside of me, do you think anyone would say if they have anything shady planned?"
[17:19] * Logic rolls his eyes. "Besides, I did. He said to buzz off."
[17:21] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap nods, "I suppose not. I wouldn't normally consider someone being private suspicious. Everypony has secrets. However, the Top-secret shenanigans and the temporary missing money does make me wonder."
[17:23] * Logic looks at the back of his hoof as if he were looking at a watch he didn't have. "Splendid. I'll check up on you periodically. I suppose this is the part where you punch me a bunch?"
[17:24] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap shakes her head, "This is the part where I tell you that next time, jsut bring your concerns to me directly."
[17:27] * Logic genuinely looks surprised. "Huh. Alright, didn't expect that. I guess this is the part where I recommend you some good porn and tell you that although our relationship was not meant to be, you'll find someone that digs the same kinks."
[17:28] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap facehoofs
[17:28] * Logic presents his chin. "C'mon, you miss this."
[17:29] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap gives a groan and waves him off, "Just go on already."
[17:29] * Logic smirks. "C'mon, one hit?"
[17:29] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap shrugs, "Fine, if you're gonna be a sucker for it." She bops his chin with a hoof.
[17:32] * Logic 's phantom poofs. The real logic grinned as he floated the abstract sound of his voice repeating "I screw with heeeeaaaaads..." In a ghostly voice. Who says he can't have fun?
[17:32] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap gasps and falls back in her seat
[17:35] * Logic sticks his head through the open door, blows a raspberry, and then walks off.
[17:35] <TenMihara|GM> Bottlecap growls at him in annoyance
