Far south of the city, a fluffy brown horde of angry beavers is marching on the town, as well as a small number of humans behind them. With the majority of Tarron's Sharpedos out scouting around, the Grove is in a bit of a pinch...

  13. [16:40] <SuikoGM> Bernard raises an eyebrow - he was on his way to join Bernard and Amelia. "Uh. Okay.. This should be interesting."
  14. [16:40] <SuikoGM> 'Amelia' regards Katsuo a moment with a discerning gaze, and just nods. "Alright, I'm with you."

  24. [16:42] <SuikoGM> Iltani and Amalthea are joined after a moment by a muscly-looking lizardman - Unbroken Circle, a Dorak. "Allow me to join you."
  25. 01[16:42] <Lekha> "Don't worry, we just have to stay back and help everyone else." :>
  26. [16:42] <SuikoGM> Luna blinks at Lekha. "...Me? Well... okay." she nods.
  27. 06[16:42] * Somalakshmi notices Lekha's selection. "Luna... we're going to need everyone's help for this. Lekha can keep you safe, so stick close to her. Cornell, can you follow me?"
  28. [16:43] <Iltani> "If you will. WE're probably mostly going to hang behind the main front to get at key targets that break through the line."
  29. [16:43] <SuikoGM> Cornell nods. "I'm with you, Soma." After a moment, the two of you are hailed down by the old general, Mayor McGraw. "One moment. I'll join with the two of you as well. Perhaps this old man can still be of some assistance."
  30. [16:44] <SuikoGM> Unbroken Circle nods. "That should pose little problem."
  31. [16:44] <SuikoGM> As you all get ready to head out...
  32. [16:45] <SuikoGM> A second woman joins Lekha's entourage, speaking up. "And the wheel begins to turn once more... I was hoping we would meet again, Lekha, though perhaps under different circumstances..."
  33. [16:45] <SuikoGM> ...Long black hair, closed blind eyes, a rune upon her forehead, and a white robe with cowl...

  35. [16:46] <SuikoGM> The seer Leknaat seems to have melted out of the crowd.
  36. 01[16:46] <Lekha> "You did say we were going to meet again. Everyone, this is, um, Leknaat. We met on the way to Loamvil."

  38. [16:47] <Katsuo_Nightarrow> "I look forward to working with you." He gives Leknaat a nod before HEADING OFF.

  40. [16:47] <SuikoGM> Masaru glances out over the battlefield.
  41. [16:48] <SuikoGM> "They've managed to cobble together more of a defense than I thought. No matter. Spread out and find the kunoichi."

  293. [18:21] <SuikoGM> The explosives specialists slams down a large tube with a colorful dragon's head on top, which seems to have a fuse at the bottom.

  295. [18:22] <SuikoGM> And with an ear-piercing shriek the fireworks go off, shooting upwards, before exploding with bright lights! ...And trailing a series of cluster bombs onto the battlefield below.

  297. [18:23] <SuikoGM> And before Masaru can get to Katsuo, he's knocked backwards by one of the blasts, a satchel flying off his person.

  513. [20:29] <Katsuo_Nightarrow> He turns away a little, nervous. "Considering all this mess that cropped up..."
  514. [20:30] <SuikoGM> "I'm still worried about Lady Claire, but... no, you're right. At this point it'd be safer for her to know."
  515. [20:30] <Katsuo_Nightarrow> "...it's probably for the best that you did that."
  516. [20:31] <SuikoGM> "Alright." she leans over and gives you a hug. "Be careful."
  517. [20:31] <Katsuo_Nightarrow> He gives her a hug back. "I will."
  518. [20:35] <SuikoGM> As you all go outside...
  519. [20:35] <Iltani> "I'll need a little time to prepare, but I should be good to go soon."
  520. [20:35] <SuikoGM> You notice Strider and Mistral actively sparring against each other! Huh, they must have split off before you went into the inn.
  521. [20:37] <SuikoGM> They're exchanging blows left and right! Strider prefers getting up close and personal, while Mistral is trying to play hard to get. They're hopping all over the place though, soaking the ground and nearby buildings.
  522. [20:37] <Iltani> "...."
  523. [20:37] <Iltani> :|
  524. [20:37] <SuikoGM> As their blows intensify, you notice... both of them beginning to glow.
  525. [20:38] <Katsuo_Nightarrow> "Huh."
  526. [20:38] <SuikoGM> And their heights increase, bubbles around their necks growing in size. The dark blue color on their heads spreads down, covering quite a few more bits of their skin.
  527. [20:39] <SuikoGM> Mistral flips out of the way of an oncoming attack by Strider, her scarf flapping in the wind. She then begins charging up a wave of water around herself and flings it at Strider!
  528. [20:40] <Katsuo_Nightarrow> "...evolution." He nods. "They're pretty good for each other."
  529. [20:40] <SuikoGM> Strider... catches it! And dissipates it by slamming it into the ground, where it explodes with dark energy!
  530. 06[20:40] * Iltani thinks for a moment, then nods.
  531. [20:40] <Iltani> "Certainly are."
  532. [20:40] <Iltani> "Wait a minute."
  533. [20:40] <SuikoGM> They stop sparring and stare at each other a moment, then nod at each other.
  534. [20:40] <Iltani> "This does mean...that she is bigger."
  535. [20:40] <Iltani> "...."
  536. [20:40] <Iltani> "Oh, no."
  537. [20:40] <Katsuo_Nightarrow> "My condolences."
  538. [20:41] <SuikoGM> Strider and Mistral evolved! And they've learned the Unite Attack Gekkoga Strike!
  539. 06[20:43] * Lekha claps :D
  540. [20:43] <SuikoGM> This is an AC2 DB8 single target attack that adds Mistral's Special Attack, Strider's Attack, subtracts the defense of your choice, and deals either Water or Dark damage!
  541. 06[20:43] * Katsuo_Nightarrow simply gives Strider a nod of approval.
  542. [20:44] <Iltani> "....this will be awkward."
  543. [20:44] <SuikoGM> And as if on cue
  544. [20:44] <SuikoGM> Mistral jumps over to Iltani for a hug!
  545. 06[20:44] * Iltani topples over, having been inflicted with Hugfrog status.
  546. [20:44] <Iltani> :|
  547. 06[20:44] * Iltani adjusts her glasses, but gives Mistral a nice pat on the head.
  548. [20:45] <SuikoGM> She beams proudly, while Strider returns the nod to Katsuo.
