Vergil decided to teleport for a bit, just as a change of pace. It probably didn’t help that he was, to his knowledge, in the deepest level of Tartarus. As he faded in and out of existence physically, he felt as though he was fading in and out of existence mentally out of the sheer boredom of having to climb through a ladder.
