  3. Welcome Back! This week is Local Lore. While the customs and languages vary across the globe one of the many things we have in common is our love of legends and folk tales. The thing about stories is that they never stay exactly the same, do they? They change across region and century. But we're all story tellers, whether we know it or not. We may not sit around the fire sharing old wise tales anymore, but we do share posts about urban legends. What stories are told in your neck of the woods? What old wise tales did they tell? What modern legends haunt your hometown? (If you don't know any, this is a great chance to learn more about where you're from. This can also be where you currently live, or any place you have lived in the past. Ya know what, go crazy, look up a place you want to go!)

  9. +It's okay to include :upg: in your response. All lore was :upg: once, until enough people agreed on it. Today's :upg: may be tomorrows legends. If you feel your :upg: is way too out there for some, just make use of the handy dandy little :upg: emoji we have. It is by no means required, but I've found it to be useful when I talk about my personal experiences if they differ from the accepted lore.
