[10:56 AM] GM - Lance: Gale brings the two of you to the edge of a massive crater near the center of town. The crater is smooth and free of debris. From the edge of the crater, you find yourself at the beginning of a simple stone footpath. In the center of the crater you see a huge three story wooden structure more akin to a fortress than a guild hall. Surrounding the fortress on all sides is a fence made from a black metal with red and silver flecks. The footpath leads to a gate made from the same material. It’s about 30-45 yards from the gate to the building with the space between containing roughly two dozen mounds of dirt, reminiscent of graves. (1/?)
[11:00 AM] GM - Lance: The building itself has windows on the first two floors, all of which are covered with metal bars made of the same material as the fence. A pair of massive flags hang down the front side of the building. They depict red and black halves with a pair of crossed keys laid behind a bishop.

[11:13 AM] Bastet (Gabby): "Oh I haven't met him, but the old lady seems nice." Stated Bastet with a nod
[11:14 AM] Rosa (Christal): She nods, “if it for some sort of protection I would like to know. I’m tired of people dying around me and if it can help then I would like to try it.”

[11:15 AM] GM - Lance: Your group approaches the building and find yourselves in front of a pair of large oaken doors with a knocker made of the same material as the fence and window bars. The door also has a horseshoe above it.

[11:16 AM] GM - Lance: The knocker echoes out. And you wait.

[11:27 AM] Rosa (Christal): “From what I’m told Fae could come here and completely obliterated town. Or make you forget the person you care about the most. Or take the place of people here. So it is a worry, but you are right. The ‘heros (the word is said in a sarcastic tone) are the ones to worry about.”

[11:29 AM] GM - Lance: The door creaks open. You see a little mousey face peak through the crack. “Ah, Gale, you’ve brought some friends again I see.” An old woman with deep wrinkles and thin, wispy, white hair slowly opens the door. On her face sits a pair of extremely thick eye glasses.
[11:30 AM] Bastet (Gabby): Bastet smiled at the old woman,"I don't know about only heroes....the black saar seem like more than just heroes sometimes."
[11:30 AM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "Good evening, It's good to see you again. Everything alright here? I had seen that someone left the gate open"
[11:31 AM] Gale Cranel (TJ): I make my way into the guild hall
[11:31 AM] Bastet (Gabby): Bastet follows closely behind
[11:31 AM] GM - Lance: She gestures for you all to come in
[11:32 AM] GM - Lance: The old woman flashes a toothless smile. “Yes, yes, we’ve had more guests as of late.”
[11:32 AM] Rosa (Christal): Rosa slightly bows her head and smiles, then follows behind the other two
[11:33 AM] GM - Lance: Entering the guild, you find yourself in a large foyer. The front door has the same salt line as the gate outside. There are large open door ways to the left and right that seem to open up into study halls full of bookshelves. Most of the bookshelves are fairly bare, with only a few having mostly full shelves.
[11:34 AM] GM - Lance: Directly ahead is a desk littered with books. It can be assumed this is the old woman’s desk. To the right of the desk is a staircase leading up to a platform with a door in the center. The platform continues across and leads to another set of stairs going up.
[11:34 AM] GM - Lance: Each doorway has a salt line and a horseshoe.
[11:35 AM] Gale Cranel (TJ): I ask the old lady if Meadow is in
[11:35 AM] GM - Lance: Once you’re all in, the old lady slowly steps over to her desk.
[11:36 AM] GM - Lance: She nods. “He is, but he’s meeting with a fellow at the moment. He shouldn’t be too much longer if you’d like to wait.”
[11:36 AM] Rosa (Christal): “I know this is a Mage’s guild, but you don’t have any books on plants do you?” Rosa ask the older lady.
[11:37 AM] GM - Lance: She ponders for a moment. “We may. Is there a more specific topic you’re looking for?”
[11:38 AM] Bastet (Gabby): Bastet tilted her head slightly, as she took in her surroundings
[11:40 AM] Rosa (Christal): “Looking for plants that have a natural resilience to them, naturally or magical. Also any that tend to cause reactions to people or animals. Examples would be to make them sleepy, frighten, intoxicated and other things like that.
[11:41 AM] Rosa (Christal): “I’m trying to make more resilient crops since some ‘Heros’ like to destroy farms.”
[11:41 AM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "yeah....." Gale looks off to the top floor
[11:42 AM] Rosa (Christal): (Heros is still said with sarcasm, but a little distain creeps in her voice this time.)
[11:42 AM] GM - Lance: She raises an eyebrow. “I see. A moment please.” She very slowly begins to walk into the right hand study.
[11:42 AM] Bastet (Gabby): I glanced over at Rosa and Gale,"Have heroes been burning down farms and crops?"
[11:43 AM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "At least one major instance has occurred, to my knowledge."
[11:44 AM] Rosa (Christal): “Dante and his dumbself blew up the major farm. All because he couldn’t come get someone with actually lock picking skills.”
[11:45 AM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "Ah... The old 'If I can't get in, blow it up' tactic. Classic"
[11:45 AM] Bastet (Gabby): "the ways of heroes are lost on me I think." Stated Bastet with a confused face
[11:46 AM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "It was meant in jest. There is never a good reason to blow up a farm."
[11:47 AM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "Although, some heroes have very interesting and destructive ways of dealing with things"

[11:49 AM] GM - Lance: You watch the old woman mosey over to one of the guild members studying in the.... study. The guild member, a young woman, looks up from her studying. The old woman says something to her just out of earshot and the guild member stands up from her table and disappears into the bookshelves. The old woman comes back to the foyer.

[11:52 AM] Rosa (Christal): “No, it was rigged to blow, he set off a trap. There was some super shady things happening there.”
[11:53 AM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "Oh... That's even more than I was expecting, to be honest. Why not just kick the door in or try to find a window?"
[11:54 AM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "Or like you said, find someone who knows how to open locked things"
[11:54 AM] Bastet (Gabby): "heroes sure are a destructive set of people."
[11:54 AM] Rosa (Christal): “Because Dante... well I’m assuming he doesn’t like to rely on others, but I honestly have no idea.”
[11:54 AM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "That's unfair, seeing as I try to make balance with those who destroy everything in their path"
[11:55 AM] Rosa (Christal): “But she isn’t wrong. A lot of them are. I think they are still stuck in the old. Where it was killed or be killed. Lives mean nothing to them.”
[11:56 AM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "That's true. Most of them have no time for diplomacy. Or... Don't think about it really."
[11:56 AM] Bastet (Gabby): "i apologize, I did not mean to offend you small one." Stated Bastet with an apologetic smile at gale," I was simply stating what I have seen of them so far.  Though you are right I have very little experience with them...I know first hand how terrible they can be."
[11:58 AM] GM - Lance: The young woman comes into the foyer holding a stack of books in various states of repair. She set the stack on the desk the odd to the old woman before returning to her studies.
[11:59 AM] GM - Lance: The old woman turns to Rosa, “You are welcome to study these volumes here in the hall.”
[11:59 AM] Bastet (Gabby): Bastet turned to the books in then back to the elder woman,"Do you have books on everything?"
[11:59 AM] GM - Lance: The old woman simply smiles.
[12:00 PM] Rosa (Christal): Rosa slightly bows again, “Thank you. I will.” She carefully takes the books and starts to look through some of them.
[12:00 PM] Bastet (Gabby): "would you have books on things in the blight from before , or books on the black Saar?" asked Bastet in a curious voice
[12:00 PM] GM - Lance: There are several tables and desks in the studies that can be used.
[12:01 PM] GM - Lance: The old woman ponders for a moment.
[12:02 PM] Rosa (Christal): “You ask a lot about black Saar. Is it someone you know personally or just curious?” She glances over to @Bastet (Gabby)
[12:02 PM] GM - Lance: “I’m afraid we don’t allow just anyone to access our pre-blight books as they are historical artifacts.”
[12:02 PM] GM - Lance: “As far as black sarr, of that I doubt.”
[12:04 PM] Bastet (Gabby): I frowned and nodded,"well I appreciate that thank  you."  she then turned to Rosa,"The black saar are my masters favorite group of people to torture his slaves when they have severely (SP?) overstepped their bounds, so naturally I am curious about them......"
[12:05 PM] GM - Lance: The old woman raises an eyebrow as she returns to her desk.
[12:07 PM] Rosa (Christal): “I see... I’m sorry for bringing up bad memories if I did..” She awkwardly turns back to her book.
[12:08 PM] Bastet (Gabby): Bastet simply shook her head,"You are fine. I am just a slow learner and so I see them more than most, but I assure you that you have not upset me."
[12:10 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): I look at the old lady behind her desk. "Any way that I could check out the books from the Pre-blight? I would like to see more about how it came to be."
[12:10 PM] Rosa (Christal): “O.. okay.” Rosa digs in her bag and pulls out a small vail. “This has an oil form the hysuup plant. When you smell it, it has calming properties. I have used it a lot. You can have this one if you need it.” She hands Bastet the vail.
[12:12 PM] Bastet (Gabby): Bastet glanced at him,"You should look for any mentions of things out there that could take away the blight or things that make be able to effect aftermath....my master travels out there a lot, he keeps saying that he's doing a project and when he's done everything will change." Bastet stated to Gale before turning to the woman,"Oh...thank you....that is very sweet. I shall treasure it."
[12:12 PM] Bastet (Gabby): (to rosa not the old lady)
[12:12 PM] GM - Lance: The door at the top of the stairs swings open and you all hear heavy thudding foot steps exit the room. A heavy set dwarf wearing a tan orange apron steps out, accompanied by a younger dwarf and a middle aged human. The dwarf carries long sword in a leather scabbard in his hands. The younger dwarf carries a short sword in a scabbard and a mace with a head made from a blue gemstone. The human has a sword and shield equipped and stands stoically. The trio descends the stairs and brush passed you to leave. The large dwarf shoots a nod to the old woman, who replies with a narrow eyed wink and a smile.
[12:13 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "I have possession of magics that allow me to remove blight from individuals or small areas. I just would like to know more of the blight's origin."
[12:13 PM] GM - Lance: The trio exits quickly, seemingly ignoring the three of you.
[12:14 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "Nice looking weapons they have." I say as they make their exit
[12:14 PM] Bastet (Gabby): I glanced over where the three people had just exited"I wonder what business they have here....I wonder what they know."
[12:14 PM] GM - Lance: A lizardkin wearing black and red steps out from the upstairs room and leans on the railing above the foyer. “Gale, welcome back.” He states in a dry, deep voice.
[12:15 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "Good afternoon, Meadow. How are you?"
[12:15 PM] Rosa (Christal): “Sometimes it is best to not know, Bastet, but I would like to know too.” She whispers
[12:15 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "Is it alright if we come up for a moment?"
[12:16 PM] Bastet (Gabby): Bastet smiled and nodded at Rosa before looking up at the Lizardkin who stood above us
[12:16 PM] GM - Lance: Medoh seems to have a slight glisten as if sweating from strenuous activity. “That’s fine.” He waves you up.
[12:17 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): I gesture for Bastet and Rosa to follow me and begin my ascent up the stairs.
[12:17 PM] Rosa (Christal): I put down the book and follow Gale
[12:18 PM] Bastet (Gabby): I follow up the stairs behind Gale make sure to keep my eyes on the lizard, Meadow, in front of us
[12:18 PM] GM - Lance: Medoh gestures you all into his office. The doorway has the same horseshoe and salt lines as the others.
[12:19 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "If you want to stay and study for a bit once we've finished speaking with Medoh, Rosa, I'm sure that they won't mind. I didn't mean to pull you from what you were reading."
[12:19 PM] Bastet (Gabby): I glanced at the lizard, before seeing myself into his office and taking a seat
[12:19 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): I make my way in and sit in the seat where I'm sure will be across from Medoh
[12:20 PM] Rosa (Christal): “Thank you, but we came here for a job. And we will see this done first.”
[12:20 PM] GM - Lance: A large table sits in the center of the room with three chairs on one side and one on the other. A set of bookshelves line one corner of the room. On the wall near the entry door is a large map tapestry that looks like Aftermath. A bed sits in one corner of the office.
[12:21 PM] GM - Lance: It looks like some space has been cleared on the floor in one section of the room. In this section is a perfectly round circle of what looks like shiny dust that suddenly comes to a stop at its edge.
[12:22 PM] GM - Lance: Medoh takes a seat on the single side of the table. “What do you require Gale?”
[12:25 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "I have a few questions, one from myself and then one from each of my companions here." I gesture to Rosa and Bastet.
[12:26 PM] GM - Lance: He glances over at each, then returns his gaze to Gale. “Go ahead.”
[12:27 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "I was wondering if you would be willing to teach me how to imbue wands with magics. It would be extremely helpful to me in my travels and allow me to better keep my friends protected."
[12:27 PM] GM - Lance: (Also I just want you guys to know I’m reflexively doing the Medoh glare and I hate it lol)
[12:27 PM] Bastet (Gabby): (good feel the burn )
[12:28 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): (That's beautiful. I'm glad you shared that tidbit because I only imagine the angry lizard looking into my soul)
[12:28 PM] GM - Lance: He nods. “Of course.”
[12:30 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "Thank you. I'll return at a later time to begin with that. And my friends Bastet and Rosa here each have something that they would like to ask of you as well." I gesture to them as I say their names.
[12:30 PM] Rosa (Christal): I glance at Bastet, “Go ahead.”
[12:33 PM] Bastet (Gabby): "Well I had come to see you with the intent of asking for magic...but you seem knowledgeable, and i think your knowledge would be more useful to me than your ability to teach me magic...do you know of anything outside the blight...my master keeps going out there saying that he is working on a project that is going to change everything....I am afraid that it is not for the good....you wouldn't know what he could be talking about do you sir?"
[12:35 PM] GM - Lance: He raises a scaled eyebrow. “And who is your master?”
[12:36 PM] Bastet (Gabby): I glanced at him and then the other two people in the room,"Do not take this personally I assure i dont mean it to offend, but that's something I would have to tell you in private sir.  I tend to get beat when my master finds out I tell people his name."
[12:39 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "I'll let you two talk for a moment." I get up and make for the door to lean on the railing above the foyer
[12:39 PM] GM - Lance: He leans back in his chair and clasps his fingers together. “No Gale, wait.”
[12:40 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "Oh?" I make my way back to the chair.
[12:40 PM] GM - Lance: He gestures to Rosa. “Your question?”
[12:43 PM] Rosa (Christal): I pull out the wand and 3 gems from my bag. “I need to know if Gale will be able to use this wand, and what exactly can be done with these gems.” I set them down in front of Medoh. (The wand has 12 formal space and a control number. I forgot the card at home, but will get a picture to you when I get home in about an hour. The gems can contain spells, I got them from Surithia, but forgot to get a card from Posey, so that is my bad.)
[12:46 PM] Rosa (Christal): (I’m a terrible human at being prepared and I’m sorry Lance)
[12:52 PM] GM - Lance: (What’s the material on the wand? Does it have any infusions? WHY AREN’T YOUR PREPARED CHRISTAL?)
[12:52 PM] GM - Lance: (Syke it’s fine. Just get me a picture of the cards when you can)
[12:53 PM] GM - Lance: He takes the wand and the gems and begins to examine them. “I will require some time. Tomorrow should suffice.”
[12:54 PM] GM - Lance: “Did you have need of me any further?”
[12:55 PM] Rosa (Christal): (Had to answer the phone again.... :pensive:.)
[12:56 PM] GM - Lance:

[12:57 PM] Rosa (Christal): “No, I’ll just wait down stairs and go over those books and wait for Bastet.” She gets up nods her
[12:59 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "I'll also wait downstairs so that you guys can talk in private." Gale gets up and makes for the door. "I'll come back with another wand for you to show me how to imbue them later on, Medoh. Thank you for your assistance."
[1:00 PM] Bastet (Gabby): I glanced back as both of my companions left the room before I turned back the lizard in front of me,"Would you mind if I close the door...my master has ears and eyes everywhere. "
[1:01 PM] Rosa (Christal): “I’ll wait for you downstairs Bastet.” She tirns to leave
[1:03 PM] Rosa (Christal): Turns*
[1:03 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): As we make our way downstairs, I call out to the old lady "Excuse me miss, could I take a look at the pre-blight books that I had mentioned earlier?"
[1:08 PM] Rosa (Christal): (I’m sorry Lance. I thought about it last night and then on my way to work.)
[1:16 PM] GM - Lance: ( @Bastet (Gabby) we’ll go to PMs then come back)
[1:17 PM] GM - Lance: The old lady is reading a novella with an illustration of a very muscular blonde man riding a horse on a beach on the cover.
[1:18 PM] GM - Lance: She looks up from it and smiles at Gale, “When Medoh says you’re ready.”
[1:18 PM] Rosa (Christal): (That is amusing)
[1:19 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "Oh... Well in that case." I make my way over to her desk and whisper softly, "Something on the Fae while we wait for our friend?"
[1:22 PM] GM - Lance: Her smile purses into a frown and her tone turns unusually serious. “I’m afraid not right now. And be mindful of that word when you’re in the hall.”
[1:24 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "I'm aware of what trouble it brings with members in the hall, which is why I was careful not to say it aloud. My apologies for bringing it up to you. Perhaps one of your... (Gale glances at the book with the buff man on a horse) Charming novellas to pass some time while we wait then?"
[1:27 PM] Rosa (Christal): “Am I allowed to take notes?” She ask from her small stack of books. Never looking up and missing the exchange between the two.
[1:27 PM] Rosa (Christal): I ask*
[1:34 PM] GM - Lance: Her smile returns, “Why Gale I didn’t think you had an interest in... such things.” She reaches into a drawer in her desk(which you notice is stacked full of these types of books) and hands you a book whose cover depicts a pale muscular man clutching a woman by the waist and attempting to bite her neck with a dark castle in the background. It’s titled “Taste of Lust”
[1:35 PM] GM - Lance: She turns to Rosa, “Please do. We simply ask that any new information you gain be shared.”
[1:36 PM] Rosa (Christal): “I’m not sure what would be new, but I will.”
[1:37 PM] Rosa (Christal): I pull out a very old and very used journal and began to take notes on what I think might be important
[1:37 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "I don't, but it seems the things that I'm interested in reading are all off-limits so I may as well entertain myself in the meantime." Gale takes the book and takes a seat next to Rosa before opening it and starting to read it.

[1:40 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): (I'm not remotely upset lmao I just wanted to find something for Gale to read before Bastet made it back from talking to Medoh)

[1:41 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): (Asking about 15 different types of forbidden books seems more strenuous than just picking up the dirty books that this lady is so in love with)
[1:42 PM] GM - Lance: (I always feel bad saying ‘no’ to anything :scream:)

[1:45 PM] GM - Lance: The book is exactly as expected. It tells a tale of a woman investigating the disappearance of a friend who finds her way to a mysterious castle. The owner of the castle keeps her captive and reveals he is a vampire. This happens in the first 30 pages. The other 70 pages are purely poorly written smut.

[1:46 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "Well... I'm glad that she solved the mystery." Gale takes the book and hands it back to the old lady. "Thank you. It was a beautiful story."
[1:47 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "A bit less dialogue than I expected aside from lewd back and forths, though."
[1:51 PM] GM - Lance: The old woman smiles. “Of course. Here, take these with you. Return them when you’re done.” She hands you two more smutty books. One depicts a woman sinking into a bog with a pair of large hands forming out of the bog menacingly. The other depicts a knight fending off a large beastly human with a beautiful woman in its arms.
[1:51 PM] Rosa (Christal): I have been too engrossed in my notes to look over at what Gale was reading.

[1:54 PM] GM - Lance: The door upstairs swings open and Bastet walks out alone.
[1:54 PM] Bastet (Gabby): Bastet headed down the stairs, noticing that both of her companions were reading books.
[1:55 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): Gale looks up toward the stairs whenever he hears the door open. "Ah, Bastet. Did you get what you came for?"
[1:56 PM] Bastet (Gabby): Bastet smiled and nodded,"Yes, yes I suppose I did. Did you find something good to read?" She asked as she walked over towards him
[1:57 PM] Rosa (Christal): (Yes professor)
[1:58 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): Gale holds up the one with the lady sinking into the bog. "You could say that... If you were into books with a story consisting primarily of a villain having relations with the protagonist and then they fall in love."
[1:59 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "Medoh has to give me permission to read the books that you had inquired about earlier, so I will have to come back later to check them out."
[1:59 PM] GM - Lance: “Isn’t it wonderful?” Asks the old lady.
[1:59 PM] Bastet (Gabby): Bastet gave a small chuckle, "that sounds like a book you can learn from, considering your mating dance, oh and thank you so much Gale."
[1:59 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "I just can't live that down, can I? I mean I guess I'll need to read more of these to see if any of them have a good dance that I could borrow."
[2:00 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "Modifications to my original and all that."
[2:00 PM] Bastet (Gabby): Bastet nodded,"Yes...that sounds like a good idea....where is Rosa?"
[2:01 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): "She's right over there." He points to the stack of tree books where the sound of a pen scratching on paper can be heard from the other side .
[2:02 PM] Bastet (Gabby): Bastet nodded and walked over,"Did you find something intresting?"
[2:03 PM] Rosa (Christal): Rosa jumps at Bastet voice, “I’m looking, but I dunno. Yet.”
[2:03 PM] GM - Lance: (Standby)
[2:03 PM] Bastet (Gabby): Bastet frowned,"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you, but I'm sure you'll find something"
[2:03 PM] Bastet (Gabby): (i was already mostly done that )
[2:04 PM] Rosa (Christal): “Are we good then?” I don’t quite get up yet.
[2:05 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): Gale finishes the last page of the book about the bog and returns them both to the lady at the front desk. "Thank you again. These may prove to be helpful in the future." He returns to the study area.
[2:07 PM] GM - Lance: That book has huge swings from disgusting scenes of depravity  to genuinely sweet and wholesome.
[2:07 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): (Wait you're telling me she reads books by more than one author?)
[2:08 PM] Bastet (Gabby): (Okay look I'm done here whenever bookworm one and two are)
[2:09 PM] Gale Cranel (TJ): (I'm good to go. I was just having a go with this lady's taste in books because I've been meaning to for a while tbh)
[2:11 PM] Rosa (Christal): (Sure. I’m good.) I pack up my things. “I’ll be back later to read more on these. If it is not a problem.”
[2:11 PM] GM - Lance: (Smut is canon)
[2:12 PM] Bastet (Gabby): Bastet smiled and  with her companions started towards the door
