  1. Cammy awoke in her rundown apartment to the sound of a couple fighting downstairs. One eye opened to stare at the ceiling, and as her tongue fwipped out to wipe the sleep from it her other eye popped open to look at the kitchen. She didn't so much stand up as use her tail to lift herself up and land on her feet.
  2.
  3. She groggily stumbled into the kitchen which was devoid of everything but a microwave and an electric hob resting atop it, and then pried open the fridge. A half empty jug of milk a few days past due, three hotdogs in plastic, and some cheese was all that remained, and so she grabbed a plate from a cabinet, dropped the hotdogs on it and shut them in the microwave before taking a long swig of the milk jug with a grimace on her face.
  4.
  5. "I feel like I lost a fight with a semi truck and I didn't even get anything of value for my trouble because I got too distracted." A sigh escaped her lips as she leaned back, supporting her body entirely on her tail as she rocked back and forth waiting for the ding of the microwave, her tongue slamming into the door button before wrapping itself around the hotdogs one by one and pulling back like a ripcord effectively leading to her swallowing the hotdogs whole.
  6.
  7. Enough lazing around in her empty apartment, it was time to make some money!
  8.
  9. As she started to open the door she abruptly stopped and turned around with some new color to her cheeks as she headed back to the bedroom to grab her clothes, no need to draw undue attention when she planned to steal things. As amusing as it might be if a certain someone turned up to stop her in that state.

  13. Some time later Karma was on the prowl, properly awake and warmed up. She swung from street lamps using her tail, crawled along the sides of buildings, and leapt from roof to roof across the slums and into the city proper. Occasionally she would see capes on patrol but there was no time to play around with any of them. She was making a beeline straight for her first target and the money that would come with it. Even her usual mischievous smile was dimmed down to a narrow line by the truest villain of all - Capitalism.
  14.
  15. A particularly big swing that required every inch of her tail to pull off sent her in a high arc through the air that ultimately brought her a half dozen stories up on the endless glass panes of a skyscraper in the heart of town. As soon as she had two points of contact she was scrambling upwards combining conventional climbing with her sticky fingers and inhuman flexibility she made good progress and before long she was hanging from the underside of the penthouse balcony... A wooden structure atop the otherwise mundane and normal building.
  16.
  17. It was as if someone had picked up a old japanese home from the past and deposited it along with a rock garden and everything ontop of the skyscraper - A befitting residence of a Top 10 hero and a symbol of exactly the kind of opulance and wealth disparity that had long ago driven our heroic lizard to thievery. Sure mutants could occasionally rate highly in the hero association, but only because they were 'one of the good ones' it was almost unheard of for a full mutant to be in the Top 10 of any country.
  18.
  19. Japan wasn't the worst for it - There were government subsidies for the mutants too big to live in a normal home and none of her kind were flat out executed for existing like places in the middle east would do, but there was still a deeply rooted problem that affected all walks of life for a mutant. Getting into a good school, getting a job, healthcare, finding a place that will rent to you...It was all massively more hard for those who didn't look 'Normal' and atleast in part she blamed heroes like this one for that.
  20.
  21. She flipped up onto Rosethorns balcony, slid open the paper door and stalked inside. She ignored the valuable art resting on tables, the paintings on walls, a necklace strewn on an endtable. There was a more valuable target that could cover her rent for a few months...
  22.
  23. She entered the heroes bedroom and took moment to steady herself, then pulled open a dresser and grabbed a handful of pantsu to stuff in a bag.
  24.
  25. Jackpot... Sigh... Nothing was fun about this heist, but it was incredibly lucrative.
