  1. A shower of water daggers fell in every direction around Birdway. The umbrella-like
  2. silhouette was eaten away from the inside as its entire area was transformed into deadly
  3. weapons.
  4. She knew.
  5. She knew that Imagine Breaker could negate any supernatural power but that it was
  6. limited to his right wrist and down. And so the optimal answer was not a single absolute
  7. attack but a huge mass of normal attacks that overwhelmed him.
  8. He could likely negate one or two of them.
  9. He might be able to evade a third and fourth.
  10. But that would be the end of it.
  11. The thousands, tens of thousands, and hundreds of thousands of daggers were packed in
  12. so tightly that they did not leave enough space for a human to hide. Everywhere but the
  13. location where that boy held his right hand would be skewered again and again.
  14. Or so it should have been.
  15. However…
  16. “…!!”
  17. A high-pitched noise rang out.
  18. Kamijou Touma had raised his right hand above his head and negated one of the many
  19. approaching daggers with his fingertips.
  20. But it did not end there.
  21. As the water dagger shattered like glass, its fragments scattered in every direction and
  22. struck the other surrounding daggers. This slightly altered their trajectory. This caused a
  23. chain reaction that created a blank spot that should not have been there.
  24. It was a phenomenon that could only occur when the daggers were packed in so tightly
  25. that no space for a human was left.
  26. All of the water daggers struck the asphalt and sent orange sparks flying throughout the
  27. entire area. Only the area one meter around Kamijou had avoided damage.
  28. Precognition.
  29. After so many battles with both scientific espers and occult magicians that they were
  30. commonplace for him, Kamijou had obtained that sense that resembled the instinct of
  31. an artisan. When he tried to understand it himself, it only threw off its accuracy.
