Darvellan says hello to Celest

The Pool of Stars.
This location is flooded with shallow, crystal clear water. Meeting in the radiant heart of New Celest, the broad city streets come together in a large, open plaza of marbled stone. Rising in the centre of the plaza is a structure of noble and luminescent pillars which suspend a round, ring-shaped platform twenty feet above the light-studded surface of the pool below. The atmosphere within the structure and around the pool bristles with a warm, electrical energy, giving a slightly disorienting sense of dizziness and euphoria. A gradually ascending stairway winds its way about the inside of the pillars, leading towards the upper level of the structure and offering a bird's eye view of the pool. An enormously wide circular pool, as dark as the night sky, glitters softly between the columns. His form suffused with soft light, the Keeper of the Pool of Stars stands here attentively. A statue of Zenobia the Queen of Queens stands here, memorializing her noble spirit. There are 15 cavaliers of the Light here. There are 15 archons of Eternal Light here. An imposing sword of radiant white metal has been driven deep into the ground in a silent statement of intent. A solstice stocking has been hung here. A mosaic tiled chest stands here, ready to share donations given. Darvellan, the Navigator stands here, surrounded by a mist of twinkling starlight. Archimandrite Daxi Strongleaf stands quietly here, trickles of water playing across her form. She wields a finely crafted rapier in her left hand and a radiant chalice in her right hand.
You see exits leading north, northeast, east, southeast, south, southwest, west, northwest, and up (open door).
An archon of Eternal Light says, "May the Light shine with you, Cheliyi."

Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "Ah, what do want to see first, Lord Navigators?"

Darvellan, the Navigator says, "First I would know how the City has been."

(Celest): Daxi says, "Lord Darvellan is at the Pool of Stars if you wish to join us."

Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "Uh.... what was the last thing You remember before You lefts? Do you recalls? I am not sure how much history you want either of us to rambles."

Smiling softly, Darvellan, the Navigator says, "It has been quite some time, so as far back as you care."

Nodding quickly, you say, "In recent memory, we are doing pretty okays! Got a fancy clock tower to remember some of the old guilds, many good young ones, uh..."
Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "For a while, we had two of Your... Cousins? And my Lady Lantra watching over the city. They have all gone to meditate in Their own ways, though."

Darvellan, the Navigator says, "Lantra and Terentia? They were well, I trust."

You reach out and touch a glass ampoule of bottled starlight.
As your hand reverently alights upon a glass ampoule of bottled starlight, the faint outline of a star lotus manifests within the vial, rendered in luminous starlight.
You nod your head emphatically.

The last vestiges of midnight shadows flee as Mother Night hides herself from the luminous arrival of her shining mate as he chases her across the bowl of the sky.

With the breaking of dawn, the blare of trumpets resound throughout New Celest from the Auger Spire as if to herald the morning light with glorious music.

Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "Well enoughs, yeah. Um... The Spirit Sea almost fully awoken by Lady Livarili, so the -whole- Basin flooded. It was really rough on everybody."

Furrowing His brow a bit, Darvellan, the Navigator says, "Yes, Livarili was mentioned by a few, as splintering fairly recently?"

You nod your head emphatically.

A gentle melody begins to sound throughout the area, like raindrops upon the ground.

Archimandrite Daxi Strongleaf says, "I was living in Serewilde again until the whole livari affair, so I can't speak of anything before that, but, since I have been back, well things were quite busy, but slowly, the divine departed to meditations, many left the city, including some of our leaders, or went to rest. That is how I ended up leading a guild, no one else wanted to. Things looked bleak for a bit there, but in the last year, people have been either joining from the portal or old citizens waking up again."

Darvellan nods solemnly to Daxi.

Darvellan, the Navigator says, "I trust you find Meridian's City well, though no forest it be."

Cerosir arrives from the east.
Cerosir kneels before Darvellan, swearing his allegiance to Him.

Darvellan flashes Cerosir a joyous smile.

Cerosir, of the Tide says to Darvellan, "Thank you for Your truefavour."

Darvellan nods His head at Cerosir.

Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "The uh... Livarili thing? Was kind of awfuls. She was very upset to have been left on the Seat for very, very long. She tried to break the seals on Avechna once She couldn't bring back Her love."

Turning back to Cheliyi, Darvellan, the Navigator says, "Yes...I have only heard about the Seat, and only terrible things at that."

Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "Then, when She lost, did Splinter to avoid any judgements by the Elders here. It... was a very big toll on Everyone. My Lady went into meditations because of it, I think."
You nod your head emphatically.

Darvellan, the Navigator says, "My Cousin Lantra?"

You nod your head emphatically.

Darvellan, the Navigator has bestowed His divine truefavour upon the Grand Dominion of New Celest. It will last for 7 months.

Frills deflating, you say, "I uh... we, miss Her. I worried for a seconds that She was what you said you felt in the Void, but, do not know."

The Pool of Stars suddenly flares with pulsating energy as Yinuish steps through.

You cough softly.

Yinuish curtseys gracefully before Darvellan.

Cerosir bows respectfully to Yinuish.

Yinuish beams broadly.

Daxi gives Yinuish a respectful salute.

You smile brightly at Yinuish, your frills puffing with joy.

Cerosir, of the Tide says to Yinuish, "Prioress. Good morning."

Shaking His head slowly, Darvellan, the Navigator says, "No, I doubt it was Her. It was... much more than I would expect from just one of My Cousins."
Darvellan, the Navigator says, "Especially that far off in the Void."

You think to yourself: **a deep wash of relief**.

A soft Celestian lilt to her words, Prioress Yinuish Re'Leo says, "Good morning, indeed. I hope everyone is well! And a pleasure to meet You, Lord."

Darvellan nods His head at Yinuish.

Echoed by rippling waters, you say to Yinuish, "We are telling Lord Darvellan what has happened in Celest since He left, yes. I mostly filled Him ins on the last Ascension."

The eyes of Cerosir glow with a white light.

Archimandrite Daxi Strongleaf says, "One could say the city seems a bit lost of late."

Yinuish looks at you and comprehension flashes across her face.

Small and cheery, she is a glistening mugwump tidal demigoddess of axolotl descent with pearly skin and six mauve-tinted frills. Her stature is not unnatural for a mugwump, barely above 4'3" and sturdily built. A bob of magenta hair flows from her scalp, adorned with shiny knickknacks, small origami, and albino feathers. Carefully woven, a single braid hangs from her disheveled bangs, affectionately clipped with a small, sapphire bead. Affixed to one frill is a tiny set of bone chimes, so small that it almost seems like an earring. Her skin has a soft, oily sheen akin to most mugwumps, but strangely enough, the skin becomes abruptly dry and brittle in some places. Most notable are her forearms and eyes, her pale complexion discolored to an uncomfortable gritty beige. Glittering mists soothe the damaged areas, ebbing and flowing in a constant tide across her skin. Frozen fog clings to her eyelashes like gems, shimmering and shifting with each blink. Clouded, milky grey eyes gleam at a certain angles, her gaze glowing with a vibrant inner light. Her warm grin reveals normal teeth with suspiciously wooden canines, while tree bark clings to the soles of her webbed feet. A long, thick tail lined with a frilled fin twitches occasionally behind her, stirring up dust and litter with each sweep. The pale frills that would usually extend from her tail tip are torn and scarred, the wounds long since healed.

Twinkling pin-pricks of star-like motes shift gently around her, indicating Darvellan, the Navigator's truefavour.

Darvellan smiles softly.
Darvellan, the Navigator says, "Being Lost is not always a bad thing, and often necessary to find One's way."

Archimandrite Daxi Strongleaf says, "Lord Faragan is king now, and he is the most faithful of all of us I think."

You nod your head emphatically.

Darvellan, the Navigator says, "Have any of My Cousins who aligned Themselves with the City been attentive of late?"

Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "He also follows Lady Lantra, yesly."
You glance askance.

Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "Not really. Know They are busy."

Darvellan nods solemnly.

Smiling softly, Darvellan, the Navigator says, "Such sentiments are a two-way road. What does the City need of Me? I have been gone overlong, longer than I expected."

You blink.
You ponder the situation.
Echoed by rippling waters, you say, "Honestly? Mortals are drawn to Divine like moths to lamps, yesly. Or ships to lighthouses, to be more accurate. I think You being heres is already a lot, Lord Navigators."

Darvellan smiles softly at you.
Darvellan, the Navigator says, "I would be happy to stay aligned with Meridian's City."

You smile brightly at Darvellan, your frills puffing with joy.

You think to yourself: **a swell of joy in your chest, He's so nice**.

Daxi shouts out a happy "Yay!"
Archimandrite Daxi Strongleaf says, "Er."
Daxi blushes furiously.

You give a trillingly melodic laugh, your frills resonating with joy.

Darvellan, the Navigator says, "That being said, I *have* been away overlong. I have matters to attend to, and need to check in on Penderglass."

Inexplicably, a cohesive bubble of water meanders by, small floating drips trailing after it.

You nod your head emphatically.

Darvellan, the Navigator says, "If you all have nothing else for Me at present?"

Cerosir bows respectfully to Darvellan.

Daxi nods her head emphatically.

Cerosir, of the Tide says to Darvellan, "Rest well, Lord Navigator."

With barely a twinkle, a mist of stars implodes around Darvellan, removing Him from sight.

Daxi gives a trillingly melodic laugh.

You flop down onto the ground.

Cerosir smiles softly at you.

With a sigh, you say, "Wish my Lady was here to welcome Him. I think it'd have made Her very happy too."

Staring blankly at the sky, you say, "I tried so hard not to stare at his chest."

Archimandrite Daxi Strongleaf says, "Yeah, it is very buoying to have an Elder God around, the others leaving was worrying."

You nod your head emphatically.

Archimandrite Daxi Strongleaf says, "Well you succeeded in not staring at his chest at least."

You have emoted: Cheliyi gets up, dusting off her skirts.

You touch a glowing emerald leaf, and leafy creepers push up through the ground and climb up your legs. As the leaves turn brown and blow away, you are suddenly whisked away.
An archon of Eternal Light exclaims, "Salut, Cheliyi!"

Kneeling humbly, you press your palms together before you and close your eyes momentarily as you pray devoutly to Lantra, the Empyreal, "Your Brother came to the Basin this month, my Lady. He seems very kind and nicely! I think He misses You as well. I hope Your Meditations are well, and I love and miss You. Sincerely, Cheliyi.".
