Backround

(Note, this is just a simple history, copy and pasted from IRC and is nowhere near complete. Will add more detail when I get the time and inclination)

First his father dies a few years after the london bombing from radiation poisoning, not long after Lisa was born. They travelled around for a few years... untill one day (about 5 years before the game) his mother vanishes. Like, he wakes up, and she's nowhere to be found.

Finding himself parentless and with a little sister, he's been bouncing around all over the EU, leaving a trail of distant relatives and foster familys in his wake. Eventually, The Nerv facility in Espoo, Finland tracked him down and stuck him in an Evangelion that wouldn't accept any other pilot. Apparently, his mother worked on it's development...
