Ape 3 Run Info

I play as the girl because some monkeys fancy her and they drop to the floor when you approach them, making them free catches.

If I'm ever sleeping on the floor, it's to recharge morph juice.

Monkeys in the game can randomly dodge your net swings. Every monkey is different, some you can catch with a single net swing 100% of the time, some you have to approach in a certain way to get the net swing & some will most likely dodge you. Hitting a monkey with the stun club or hoop then swinging for them is usually a confirmed catch, same with catching them using a morph.

White Monkey - You can avoid getting blown back by hitting the dragon in a very small window as he's about to blow you away. I have a pretty consistent method of setting this up if he gives me the right pattern.

Shop - You collect money throughout the start of the run to purchase an extra morph stock, 5 explosives & 4 homing pellets (I usually buy one extra incase I waste one.) The extra morph stock helps throughout the run onwards and the pellets are used on two apes for quicker catches & Yellow Monkey & Specter to take them out quickly.

Blue Monkey - It's rare, but if Blue decides to use his special at the start of the fight, you lose a bunch of time as he becomes invulnerable. He can also jump as soon as you go to hit him off his unicycle, preventing him from being knocked down, also making you lose time.

Pink Monkey - Pink can stun you & teleport to anywhere in the stage at any time. The less she stuns and teleports, the better. You have to hit her in a steady rhythm, not too fast, otherwise she will fall & come for you, wasting time.

Red Monkey - You want Red to bend over and fart on you so you can get the most hits in. If he doesn't do this, you can hit him without knocking him over and he'll pause and do another attack, hopefully the fart. If not, you have to try again.

Afro Robot - You want to directly hit the cog on his back so he falls over and you can take him out straight away. He moves wherever he wants so timing the boost into his back is difficult.

Specter - Autoscroller.

There's a lot of luck involved in this run. Need to play smart and keep a positive attitude or I'm gonzo.
