How Ki really works in Dragon Ball Z

What is Ki?
 Ki is the energy in which every single life form harbors, this energy is used to live longer, protect your self, or even used offensively if used correctly.

Why can users get so strong?
The use of this life form can be manipulated to the extreme, it gives you more power, lifespan, and the power of flight. This energy is very malluable, making it more compact for more strength, and even as a projectile.

Why can Goku get hurt my ChiChi/Bullets?
A ki user must activate his Ki to aquire these super abilities, when Goku was shot by the beam of the gun in the ressurection of Earh movie, why was he harmed by a weapon he should of been able to deflect in the Friza saga? The fact is, when ready for a fight, the user shrounds their body in Ki, making them the strong warriors we all know and love.

Why do Ki have colors?
Well, personality is the only thing I can think of, due to the Ki being an extension of lifeforce, a driving force changing the color of it would be the color, right?

Ki Blasts
The Ki Blast in a concentration of Ki that is sent the person's body, sending it at the speed of almost light as an attack, the strength, speed, and control you have over this requires great power.
