Kyungmi was born and raised in South Korea. She is an only child and growing up her parents struggled financially. She's been interested in music from a young age, as little as six years of age where she always auditioned for any role she could. Since then she's improved a lot. Her parents did not support her career in music instead wishing for her to be educated to get a proper job and not live a life of poverty like she did. Kyungmi obliged to her parents wishes and finished high school with well enough grades to get her into a good collage. However, after high school she decided to audition before going further with her education.
