Vagabond/Deserter Raggeyed


Raggeyed was never cut out to be a thrall warrior, cannon fodder to die in a game of chess between rival highbloods. Or any kind of slave really. What he loved was the freedom to wander. It started with the simple theft of an apple to fill and empty stomach. Trolls are cruel beings. To avoid unreasonable punishment a troll became a Deserter.

He didn't manage to run far. A blueblood Huntsman caught him. Murder of a highblood was added to his list of crimes, and a Deserter became a Vagabond.

As a wanted outlaw, his list of crimes only grew as he did what he needed to survive. Theft, forgery, robbery, piracy, impersonation of a higherblood. And murder. To be caught at this point would mean death or worse, and the Vagabond was cautious. And unlike the Huntsman, not all his victims deserved it. He preyed on the weak and witless first using charm and guile. And he enjoyed this free life. Really, he did nothing a highblood couldn't get away with.

He could only survive on the run for so long. All told his happy-go-lucky misadventures lasted less than a sweep before he was caught, for good this time. He begged for a quick death but instead he was grafted to a spaceship to be used as a living psychic battery. Bound in place and used until exhaustion, nothing could be a worse fate for the vagabond.
