gushing_granny: this is a side note, but its pretty important

gushing_granny: lol yes, sort of

gushing_granny: you see, very early in my concept brain-doodling of the story

gushing_granny: i randomly decided that the name of the energy that dan would be using would be called destron

gushing_granny: it was either destron or ultima

gushing_granny: but destron is more symbolic, because it swirls and it disintegrates things

gushing_granny: and it "destroys" his body

gushing_granny: and ultima sounds generic as fuck. well, more generic than destron.

gushing_granny: ive always thought of destron as blue though

gushing_granny: blue usually implies calm feeling, or peace

gushing_granny: but destron is wild, and chaotic

gushing_granny: (see me trying to get it as far away from the fact that kamehamehas are blue as possible)

gushing_granny: still though, i dont think any other color would have worked

gushing_granny: actually, i have no idea how colors of energy are created, i never pinned that one down

gushing_granny: probably has something to do with emotions/control

gushing_granny: most normal energy types are invisible, white, or slightly yellowish

gushing_granny: destron is dark blue

gushing_granny: dark energy is dark purple

gushing_granny: kan is the energy that exists within all biological life

gushing_granny: by using the pulse, you can draw it out and alter its form

gushing_granny: there are different types of forces you need to control within the body to do this

gushing_granny: kan is the energy, the essence itself

gushing_granny: gan is nature, how energy reacts with the body and the bodies pulse

gushing_granny: shan is the mind, which gives kan form

gushing_granny: energies that exist within nature and the pure kan that exists in biological life are one in the same

gushing_granny: which comes to zan, the element

gushing_granny: the transformation of one type of energy to another

gushing_granny: all of this is dictated by your understanding of kan and control of it

gushing_granny: but, a kan art is combining all of these elements into one specific technique

gushing_granny: so, kan arts were very hard to master

gushing_granny: but after the advent of artificial pulses

gushing_granny: which were just synthetic life forms with brains

gushing_granny: they implanted the memories of all the techniques from high level bellatorian warriors into the pulses

gushing_granny: and using the bio code of the neural impulses of the mind of the artificial pulse, created a language that could be "downloaded" into the brain

gushing_granny: allowing you to learn the technique instantly

gushing_granny: obviously, there are drawbacks

gushing_granny: putting thoughts into someones head isnt that safe

gushing_granny: if someone downloads a high level kan art that uses alot of energy and they arent proficient enough, they can use up all of the energy in their body and die

gushing_granny: also, when the foreign thoughts are put into the recipients brain, you have to make sure they arent too complex

gushing_granny: one kan art could take years of development, and you are putting all those fresh memories into your head in the span of a few seconds

gushing_granny: so you can only do a couple at a time

gushing_granny: and you have to train the ability for a few days to a few weeks depending on the complexity of the art itself, and let the thoughts fade into your subconscious

gushing_granny: so it isnt a gimmie gimmie

gushing_granny: so, heres the thing

gushing_granny: you are a bellatorian warrior, and there is a kan art you want to have

gushing_granny: its a basic one, a bolt of electricity

gushing_granny: you download it into your brain, and you feel a bit weird and your emotions start going a bit crazy

gushing_granny: but, any bellatorian warrior knows how to control his emotions, so you get over that shit

gushing_granny: you spend a few days reflecting on the memories and learning the technique

gushing_granny: and boom

gushing_granny: you've mastered it

gushing_granny: kan arts combine the aspects of energy

gushing_granny: using kan itself to perform the technique

gushing_granny: your stance, and the way you channel the kan through your body (gan)

gushing_granny: you give it form, and decide how fast you want shoot it and what shape you want it to be (shan)

gushing_granny: and this is optional, but you can give the energy an element (fire, wind, electricity, which is zan)

gushing_granny: so, thats about it

gushing_granny: also, if you put too many memories into your brain at once, you will either go insane or become a vegetable, and that is very hard to cure

gushing_granny: ok
