My brother was a good man, but he didn't believe

I rejected God and the Church when I first saw the hearse
Praying helped my mother but it only made my pain worse
Cling to your god if you like but I'm done with the divine
I'md one with fairy tales, reality is prime
"You're going to hell, repent and be saved!"
Doing that would only mean my path to self-hate would be paved
Instead of telling me I'm evil and uncaring
