Dr. Shiba: Hiroshi, Miwa, the Photon Power Laboratory is requesting your assistance. [Mechanical Beasts] have appeared in Nakabuchi City.

司馬博士
「マジンガーZも現場へ急行しているが、
敵の数が多い。二人もすぐに出てくれ」
Dr. Shiba: Mazinger Z is already hurrying there as we speak, but the enemies are great in number. You two must head out immediately.

宙
「わかったぜ、父さん!」
Hiroshi: Understood, father!

美和
「宙さん、行きましょう!」
Uzuki: Let’s go, Hiroshi!

宙
「ああ!」
Hiroshi: Right!

(They leave.)

(ここ最近、邪魔大王国の動きは見られないが、
機械獣の襲撃回数が徐々に増えている…)
Dr. Shiba: (The [Jamatai Empire] haven’t been very active as of late, but the Mechanical Beasts’ attacks have grown more and more frequent...)

One Black Wanderer


(Scene begins on the map screen of a forest. Steel Jeeg and Uzuki, flying the Big Shooter, are on the map.)

「中淵市まで、もうすぐだ!
急ごうぜ!」
Steel Jeeg: We’re almost at Nakabuchi City! Let’s hurry!

「ええ!」
Uzuki: Yes, let’s!

(Uzuki detects something.)

Uzuki: ! This is...!

「どうした、ミッチー!?」
Steel Jeeg: What’s wrong, Michi!?

美和
「前方に異常重力反応が!
見て、空間が歪んでいるわ!」
Uzuki: I’m picking up a gravitational anomaly ahead of us! Look, space is distorting!

「何だってんだ!?」
Steel Jeeg: What’s going on!?

(Getter Noir Unit-1 appears through a portal.)

「あ、あれは!?」
Uzuki: I-Is that...!?

「いきなりロボットが出て来やがったぜ!」
Steel Jeeg: A robot suddenly appeared!

??? (RYOMA): Tch, looks like I got knocked out of the transposition gate...!

Uzuki: It looks like...a [Getter Robo]!?

Steel Jeeg: But it’s not one we’ve ever seen before!

Uzuki: I’ll compare the data!

Steel Jeeg: Hey, you over there! Can you hear me!?

Uzuki: Hiroshi, we don’t have any data on that robot.

「だが、見た目はゲッターロボだ。
タワーに聞けば、何かわかるんじゃねえのか?」
Steel Jeeg: Still, it definitely has the look of a Getter Robo. The Tower ought to know something about it, don’t you think?

美和
「ええ。今、問い合わせてる」
Uzuki: Yes. I’ll ask them for information about it now.

Steel Jeeg: I’ll ask you again! I am Steel Jeeg, from the Build Base! Who are you!?

(…あいつらと連絡が取れねえ。
向こうの通信機が壊れたか?それとも、
別の所へ跳ばされちまったのか?)
???: (...I still can’t get in contact with those two. Did their transmitter break somehow? Or did they get sent somewhere else entirely?)

「宙さん、タワーから返答が来たわ。
該当するデータはないそうよ」
Uzuki: Hiroshi, I’ve just heard back from the Tower. They say that have no data on that machine.

鋼鉄ジーグ
「じゃあ、あいつはいったい何なんだ…!?」
Steel Jeeg: Then just what on Earth is it...!?

美和
「あと、竜馬さん達が調査のためにこちらへ来るから、
それまで待って欲しいって」
Uzuki: They also said that Ryoma and the others are on their way here to investigate. They want us to stay put until then.

鋼鉄ジーグ
「あのゲッターが素直に応じるんならな…!」
Steel Jeeg: That all depends on if that Getter is willing to comply...!

司馬博士
「…宙、タワーからの依頼通り、
謎のゲッターロボに対処するんだ」
Dr. Shiba: ...Hiroshi, we should handle this mysterious Getter Robo exactly as the Tower instructs.

「わかったぜ!」
Steel Jeeg: Alright!

あいつらを捜しに行かなきゃな)

(RYOMA starts to leave.)

Steel Jeeg: H-Hey! Where are you going!?

Steel Jeeg: You won’t get away, black Getter!

???: As if a pipsqueak robot is going to stop me!

(Battle 1 ends when RYOMA’s HP falls below 70%.)

Steel Jeeg: He stopped moving!

(Uzuki detects something.)

「宙さん、地中に高熱源体反応が!」
Uzuki: Hiroshi, I’m detecting high energy readings from underground!

(Invaders appear and surround Steel Jeeg.)

鋼鉄ジーグ
「チッ、こんな時に!」
Steel Jeeg: Damn, they would show up now, wouldn’t they!?

???: So there are [Invaders] here too...!

(RYOMA destroys the Invaders.)

Steel Jeeg: You can ask him all you want, but this guy--

(RYOMA shows his face to the Getter Team.)

Ryoma: Y-You’re WHAT!?

何で竜馬さんと同じ名前なんだ!?」
Steel Jeeg: Don’t mess with us! You expect us to believe your name just happens to be the same as Ryoma’s!?

リョウマ
「…俺は、こことは違う世界から来た」
RYOMA: ...I came here from a different dimension.

竜馬
「何…!?」
Ryoma: What...!?

隼人
「その姿、声…そして、見知らぬゲッター…
お前は並行世界の人間か?」
Hayato: Judging from your face, your voice... And that odd Getter... You mean you came from a parallel world?

リョウマ
「そういうことになるな」
RYOMA: Pretty much.

竜馬
「並行世界の…俺、だと…!?」
Ryoma: So you’re me...from a parallel world...!?

隼人
「…事情は、想像以上に込み入っているようだ」
Hayato: ...This situation is more complicated than I ever could have guessed.

鋼鉄ジーグ
「だったら、何でそれを言わなかった!?」
Steel Jeeg: But, why didn’t you say anything before!?

リョウマ
「この目で真ゲッターロボを見るまで、
確証を得られなかったからな」
RYOMA: Had no way of knowing if it was true or not ‘til I saw Shin Getter Robo with my own two eyes.

隼人
「…お前が真ゲッターを知っている理由も含め、
詳しい話を聞かせてもらおうか」
Hayato: ...Then tell us everything. Including how you know about Shin Getter.

ヤマザキ
「神中佐、中淵市の戦況が悪化しつつあります。
支援の必要があると思われますが」
Yamazaki: Lieutenant Colonel Jin, the battle in Nakabuchi is going poorly. I believe we should move to support them immediately.

隼人
「了解した。直ちに現地へ向かう」
Hayato: Roger that. We’ll head there immediately.

弁慶
「隼人、あっちの竜馬はどうする?」
Benkei: What do we do about the Ryoma over there, Hayato?

隼人
「ここに残す。美和、監視を頼む」
Hayato: We leave him here. Uzuki, I’ll have to ask you to keep an eye on him.

リョウマ
「いや、俺も行くぜ」
RYOMA: No, I’m going with you.

竜馬
「何だと?」
Ryoma: Why do you want to come?

リョウマ
「敵がいるなら、戦力は多い方がいいだろう。
それに、こっちにも早く聞きてえことがあるからな」
RYOMA: If there’re enemies there, then the more firepower you have, the better. Besides, I got my own questions for you guys that I want answered sooner rather than later.

隼人
「了解した。ついてこい」
Hayato: Understood. Then come along.

弁慶
「おい、それで大丈夫なのか?」
Benkei: Hey, you sure about this?

隼人
「ああ、その方が手っ取り早い。
竜馬も異論はないな?」
Hayato: Yes, it’s the fastest way to go about this. Wouldn’t you agree, Ryoma?

竜馬
「…ああ」
Ryoma: ...Yeah.

弁慶
「だけど、竜馬が二人いるってのはややこしいな。
そっちのお前…呼び名はリョウでいいか?」
Benkei: Alright, but having two Ryomas is gonna get confusing. So, uh, you... Is it alright if we just call you Ryo?

リョウマ
「フッ、懐かしい響きだな。構わねえぜ」
RYOMA: Heh, that makes me feel nostalgic. Sure, go ahead.

弁慶
(懐かしいだと…?)
Benkei: (What’d he mean by nostalgic...?)

竜馬
「ともかく、さっさと行くぞ!」
Ryoma: That’s enough of that; now let’s get a move on!


(Scene changes to a map screen of Nakabuchi City. Koji and Tetsuya are fighting Mechanical Beasts on the map.)

「鉄也さん、民間人の避難は
まだ終わらねえのかよ!?」
Koji: Have the civilians finished evacuating yet, Tetsuya!?

鉄也
「その通りだが、宙達が来てくれたぞ」
Tetsuya: That’s right, and it looks like Hiroshi and the others have arrived too.

(Hiroshi, Ryoma, RYOMA, and Uzuki appear.)

鋼鉄ジーグ
「待たせたな、二人共!」
Steel Jeeg: Sorry to keep you two waiting!

甲児
「宙さん!それに、真ゲッターも来てくれたのか!」
Koji: Hiroshi! And I see you brought Shin Getter along too!

鉄也
「そっちの黒いゲッターロボは何だ?」
Tetsuya: What’s that black Getter Robo with you?

竜馬
「ちいとややこしい話でな…
とりあえず、こいつは味方だ。
中に乗ってる奴はリョウと呼べ」
Ryoma: It’s kind of complicated... But for now, he’s on our side. Just call the pilot “Ryo”.

甲児
「へえ、竜馬さんと似たような名前なんだな」
Koji: Huh, his name sounds a lot like yours, Ryoma.

弁慶
(…それどころの話じゃないが)
Benkei: (...Yeah, more than you know.)

鋼鉄ジーグ
「甲児、避難が終わってない場所はどこだ?」
Steel Jeeg: Koji, do you know where the civilians have evacuated to?

甲児
「ああ、あそこだ!」
Koji: Yeah, over there!

鉄也
「機械獣をあの地区へ侵入させるな!
戦闘も厳禁だ!」
Tetsuya: We can’t allow any Mechanical Beasts to enter that area! Fighting there is strictly prohibited!

「了解だ!行くぜ!」
Steel Jeeg: Understood! Let’s do this!

「リョウ、お前もいいな?」
Hayato: Is that fine with you, Ryo?

リョウマ
「…ああ」
RYOMA: ...Sure.

(Battle 2 begins.)

(Battle 2 ends when all enemies are defeated.)

「よし、全部片付けたぜ!」
Koji: Okay, we cleared ‘em all out!

美和
「まだよ!上空から機械獣が降下して来るわ!」
Uzuki: Not yet! Mechanical Beasts are raining down from above!

「グールが戻って来たのか!」
Tetsuya: The Ghoul must have come back!

(Several Mechanical Beasts appear at the edge of the map.)

「チッ、避難地区に!」
Tetsuya: Damn, they’re heading to the evacuation zone!

甲児
「俺が行く!」
Koji: I’ll stop them!

リョウマ
「それじゃ、遅いんだよ!」
RYOMA: You’re not fast enough!

(RYOMA flies to the Mechanical Beasts.)

リョウマ
「ゲッタァァァァビィィィィィム!!」
RYOMA: GETTEEEER BEAAAAAAM!!

(RYOMA destroys all the Mechanical Beasts.)

「あ、あいつ、あんな所でゲッタービームを!」
Koji: H-He’s using the Getter Beam so close to the shelter!?

「ミッチー、グールは!?」
Steel Jeeg: Michi, what about the Ghoul!?

「撤退していくわ!」
Uzuki: It’s withdrawing!

隼人
「想定外の戦力を警戒したか…」
Hayato: I wonder if our added firepower caught him by surprise...

リョウマ
「敵の排除は終わったぜ。さあ、話を…」
RYOMA: All the enemies are toast. Now, let’s talk about--

甲児
「待て!
何であそこでゲッタービームを撃ったんだ!?」
Koji: Hold on! What were you thinking using the Getter Beam there!?

リョウマ
「敵を倒すためだ。それの何が悪い?」
RYOMA: I was thinking about defeating the enemy. There a problem with that?

甲児
「ふざけんな!
あそこには避難中の民間人がいたんだぞ!」
Koji: Of course there is! That’s where the civilians were taking shelter!

リョウマ
「だから?」
RYOMA: And?

甲児
「お、お前…!
民間人が巻き添えを食っても
構わねえってのかよ!?」
Koji: Y-You...! Do you not even care what happens to the civilians!?

隼人
「そこまでだ、甲児。
俺達がここにいると、敵の標的になり得る。
近くの山中に移動するぞ」
Hayato: That’s enough, Koji. We stay here too long and the enemy may come to attack again. We’re moving to the nearby mountains.

甲児
「りょ、了解…!」
Koji: R-Roger...!

RYOMA: ...


(Scene changes to a forest.)

「…さっきのゲッタービームで
巻き添えを食らった民間人はいないそうだ」
Benkei: ...Doesn’t look like any civilians were hit by that Getter Beam earlier.

美和
「そうですか…」
Uzuki: That’s good to hear...

甲児
「運が良かっただけだ。
下手したら、大惨事になるところだったぜ」
Koji: We just got lucky. That could have easily turned into a tragedy.

宙
「同感だな」
Hiroshi: I agree.

リョウマ
「………」
RYOMA: ...

鉄也
「…それ以前に、お前は何者だ?
あの黒いゲッターは何だ?」
Tetsuya: ...Before we start, just who are you? Furthermore, what’s that black Getter you use?

リョウマ
「………」
RYOMA: ...

竜馬
「ふん…ゲッターに乗ってた時の威勢はどうした?」
Ryoma: Hmph... What happened to all that vigor you had when you were in the Getter?

鉄也
「…そっちも事情は知らないのか?」
Tetsuya: ...You don’t know what the deal is with him either?

竜馬
「ああ…これから詳しい話を聞くところでな。
とりあえず、こいつが別の世界から
やって来たということはわかってる」
Ryoma: Nah... He was suppose to give us the full story after that battle. For now, we just know he comes from a different dimension.

「別の世界だって…!?」
Koji: A different dimension...!?

Tetsuya: (Then the reason this man resembles Ryoma Nagare so much is because...)

「リョウ…
まず、お前の世界について説明してもらおうか」
Hayato: Ryo... First, let me start by asking you to describe your world to us.

リョウマ
「俺がいたのは異時空…
ブレーンワールドと呼ばれる虚無の世界だ」
RYOMA: I come from a different space-time... A world of nothingness known as a Braneworld.

弁慶
「虚無の世界…?」
Benkei: A world of nothingness...?

リョウマ
「何もない宇宙という意味だ。
そこで俺は高次元意識体ブラフマーと
ひたすら戦い続けてきた」
RYOMA: It means the entire universe is empty. I’ve done nothing there but fight the higher dimensional discarnate entity, Brahma.

リョウマ
「そして、奴らとの戦いの最中、
転位門によってこの世界へ跳ばされてしまった」
RYOMA: And in the middle of fighting his forces, I was sent to this world through a transposition gate.

隼人
「高次元意識体と言ったな。
そいつは、実体のない敵なのか?」
Hayato: You called it a higher dimensional discarnate entity. In other words, this enemy doesn’t have a corporeal form?

リョウマ
「詳細は知らない…知らされていない」
RYOMA: I don’t know the specifics... I was never informed about that.

リョウマ
「俺は戦うために創られた存在であり、
与えられた使命に従って戦っているだけだ」
RYOMA: I was created to fight, and only to fight in accordance with my mission.

Koji: Wait, you just said you were “created”...!

「俺はそこにいる男…流竜馬のクローンだ」
