- Some downtime provided itself to him, and he took it upon himself to recount his journal. Runecasting was already something he was growing confident with -- at least, with the fundamentals, and applying it to his immediate proficiency. Then, there was Symbolic Casting -- the most standard of magus practices...
- Which left only two left to actively try:
- - Visionary Casting
- - Wordcasting
- Which left him to ponder on the proper uses to carry out. How exactly did one find an excuse to wordcast? Better yet -- what could he use it for? It couldn't had been remotely as versatile as runecasting. It would be attuned to whatever its circuitry was. Then, it required confidence, something he was actively working on.
- So, the next best bet was Visionary Casting. He had done plenty of studying up until this point, so now? It was likely a combination of meditation and focusing to get it right.
- A deep inhale, and sigh... And he'd close his eyes.
- That buzzing sensation he referenced so long ago, never quite ceased. It simply faded from the forefront of his focus. In moments of relaxation? It returned -- humming beneath the skin. It flowed like the veins that carried his vitality to and from the heart.
- The magus circuit -- wondrous in its own right.
- The source: His heart, could be felt in its every beat. Though, it was not what was being called upon today. Rather, he sought to focus on what he intended to achieve. The result was recalled, and therefore the sensation wrought upon when he symbolically casted last time was remembered quite well.
- "This part... Is always... The most difficult." He mentioned out loud. To whom? Was anyone's guess -- he wasn't exactly paying attention to -anyone- around him. In a way, he could feel and -see- his own circuitry beyond the flesh though!
- It was simply a matter of directly funneling his mana along the pathways, and pinpointing their flow from mana point, to mana point.
- From mana nexus to mana nexus...
- It was no different than runic casting in a sense, except now? The programmatic 'language' was different. Rather than imparting instructions upon the world? He imparted instructions from the mind across the body -- like learning to apply finer motor control as a meager child.
- A faint miasma of sapphire took to his person, translucent in all of its lesser magus glory. Though, it wasn't quite taking any definitive shapes at his behest... Not yet, anyway.

- In a way, having preformed symbolic casting -- even if unconsciously or even by accident -- helped in the effort to commit to Visionary Casting. The challenging part was finding a means of applying his mana in such a way that directed itself throughout the pathway accordingly. At least, his will was clear: To start small.
- He cupped his hands before him, taking a sharp breath before oozing mana through his pores at an accelerated rate. The concept was beginning...
- A sphere was to be made...
- One molded of his own mana, but hollowed out at the core. It was not intended to be a mass of mana, but rather a small encompassing barrier within his clutches.
- While the imagination worked out the concept, and the will to conjure such was imbued throughout his being -- his eyes took to a subtle gleam of sapphire. However, this was far from his notice. He could not tell if his eyes were glowing...
- What he -could- tell was, he was doing it wrong. To act in accordance with his own Willpower? Was to succumb to the urge to symbolically cast. This had to be devoid of his Will, purely logical in execution. Cold, and refined...
- The imagination worked as it always did, understanding the properties just as it would've applied for the programmatic fashion demanded of runecasting.
- The eyes waned in their glow, as did the spheroid within his open palms, but it would uphold... If even marginally. It was difficult to think in a calculating fashion about magic, when actively trying. He was not a seasoned magi, after all -- and the concept of metaphysical or even psionic-based magics -- were quite beyond him.
- Perhaps, not for too much longer... Casting in this fashion dabbled in a domain not unlike their own means of functionality. Though, to find a telepath willing to instruct him on the intricacies on how they cast without them dismissing him or lacking an understanding in and of themselves was... Disappointingly unlikely.
- A headache throbbed at the boy, managing only to barely manifest an energy barrier that resonated within the palms of his hands. A smile emerged on his face, calling out for the others!
- "Guys! Guys, I--…" But the others were seemingly gone, with only the occasional farmer's aid to turn their attention. At least, some of them acknowledged with awkward smiles and murmurs of approval.
- "Ah... Well... Maybe next time then."
