  1. Giant Form Logging 4
  2. Brazha meets with Archons from each settlement (and a skeleton friend!) for an important meeting.
  3. In it, however, Eiphraem is questioned on the technique that can help break shackles.
  4. Some important advice is given.
  5.
  6.
  7.
  8. [21:34] "Where did he even. Get horns like that from?"
  9.
  10. Following behind Anta comes the titan themselves, somewhat less sooty than normal- enough so to see some of the mismatched purples and steely greys of the actual armour below, no less! Evidently they haven't been clad in nyeshk this entire time! But still, even when coming to what is meant to be a meeting, that immense axe rests over one shoulder. .
  11.
  12. But Brazha stops in their tracks as Anta reaches the field, helm turning slowly downwards to regard it. Almost like some sort of ward, it seems as though Brazha's relatively unable to cross onto the tilled and seeded land!
  13.
  14. Instead, they call out from the other side in that earthen rumble of a voice.
  15.
  16. "Eiphraem. You came. And you brought Illaron? Unexpected to see you here. Illaron of Gaiar. I thought I'd next see you. With Zaruma.
  17. Welcome. Both of you. And your skeleton. Have you been offered. Drinks?"
  18. (Brazha Earthcleaver)
  19. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  20.
  21. [21:40] Peacekeeper remains mostly quiet for now, though he offers a little greeting to the towering...
  22.
  23. what was her title, again? Ah, whatever. He raises a bareboned hand to the sky and waves it side to side. "Greetings, friend. Not quite a stranger, at any rate. My name is Peacekeeper."
  24.
  25. An introduction perhaps unneeded, but 'your skeleton,' regardless of its factual content, is not quite the satisfying address he prefers.
  26.
  27. After the wave, he allows his hand to drop to his side once more, and he stands still and silent as death itself. A pair of silver orbs floating in empty sockets focuses solely upon Brazha.
  28. (Peacekeeper)
  29. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  30.
  31. [21:41] The serpentine archon pivots, neatly.
  32.
  33. "Lady Brazha. Thank you for your offer of hospitality; I was, but I wished to not whet my appetites until your arrival. It would be impolite to do otherwise," His voice trills with those musical notes, flaring slightly from his side as he rises himself slowly up.
  34.
  35. Eyes watch her aversion. His pupils dialate as they adjust to the light and constantly dart between the two present, for a moment, his vision tunneling.
  36.
  37. Though, he takes care- Adjusting his height to something slightly smaller by flowing lower along his coils.
  38.
  39. He lacks the intimidating, dark auras of his companions- And dutifully, ha attempts to avoid trampling(crushing?) the fields, taking a route around to join her, politely. "Indeed. I believed I remembered you inquiring after him, and I would not want to neglect after keeping you awaiting so long."
  40.
  41. "Please, accept my apologies for making you wait so long. You made no misstep in your words to me, prior; It was an unconscionable delay. I am afraid time slips by faster to me than it may to others. My territory is not often able to be left unwatched. I would be delighted to try your offer, and my ears are open and listening."
  42. (Eiphraem Kang)
  43. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  44.
  45. [21:41] Ah, there it was.
  46.
  47. The massive armored giant known as Brazha soon came in sight, causing the Archon to turn his attention towards them. Large red wings folded into his side, clearing up a large amount of space between the Naga and the Skeleton. Blood red eyes focus upon the Giant, but his expression remains unchanged.
  48.
  49. A telepathic voice begins to echo throughout all those nearby, a means of communication all Demons were known for. "As did I. Unfortunately, catching Zaruma when I am around is difficult."
  50.
  51. stupid timezones
  52.
  53. "Instead, Eiphraem fetched me, and here we are."
  54. (Illaron)
  55. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  56.
  57. [21:44] Aziza Maru whispers something.
  58. [21:46] Anta listened to a hushed whisper from Aziza before offering the blonde sarradian a nod. She reached out for her shoulder and started off towards the crates and other sundry goods by the shop...
  59.
  60. "Make sure to get a bit of everything," she said to the other woman as she started grabbing bottles of assorted booze by the crateful, mixing them around to get a nice variety. Seemed they were getting ready just in case!
  61. (Anta)
  62. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  63.
  64. [21:47] Evidently, Eiphraem managed to catch exactly the very same reason that Brazha avoids the fields- huge stomping greaves, oftentimes hot enough to burn things? They don't tend to be particularly beneficial for the health of growing crops.
  65.
  66. Slowly but surely, that great helm turns between the trio before Brazha, followed by an equally slow nod. But instead of beckoning the trio away immediately, attention grinds over towards Anta.
  67.
  68. "I'll need wine. Anta. Some fish for Eiphraem. I'm. Not sure what Illaron prefers.
  69. I don't think. Skeletons eat either. Bring something just in case."
  70.
  71. And then, of course, attention returns to the trio.
  72.
  73. "Well. . Since it's both of you. We have much more. To discuss. Come. We'll head to the manor."
  74. (Brazha Earthcleaver)
  75. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  76.
  77. [21:48] Peacekeeper asks, "Do you stock vinegar? Strong, strong vinegar?"
  78. [21:49] Aziza Maru says, "Hmm, vinegar.."
  79. [21:49] Lief Toran whispers something.
  80. [21:49] Anta says, "We'll be right up!~ And yes, vinegar would... Clean the bones..."
  81. [21:49] Aziza Maru asks, "I think we have some wine that's been left to turn -into- vinegar, does that count?"
  82. [21:50] Anta says, "... We'll figure it out and be right up, Brazha!~"
  83. [21:50] Herja Brynhildr whispers something.
  84. [21:50] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "The door will be locked."
  85. [21:58] Anta knocks on the door gently. A good amount of rattling and jingling could be heard from bottles.
  86. (Anta)
  87. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  88.
  89. [22:00] It's a surprisingly long journey from the lower altitudes of the settlement up to Brazha's own residence. A short journey back eastwards, only for Brazha to lead the way into a cavern beneath the central hill of the town. Ominous, perhaps. But where better for the keeper of the troll toll to live than in the depths of a cavern system?
  90.
  91. The light carried by the titan's presence, all those flitting embers- they prove to be remarkably familiar to the lesser demons dwelling within the cavern, which scurry and flee at Brazha's approach.
  92. Likely not helped by Illaron's own occultic presence, even if Eiphraem lacks his own.
  93.
  94. But after quite some trek, Brazha leads the trio to light! A cave exit, some altitude up from the entrance.
  95.
  96. Now. One might expect someone like Brazha to live in a cave. Or, perhaps, some terrifying, dark fortress. Or in some blasted wasteland, drained dry of all its value. Or some snowy hilltop, capped with longhouses.
  97. Instead, the titan leads the entourage into a shockingly calm piece of nature. High up on the hill, trees virtually untouched, fields of flowers and wild butterflies. .
  98.
  99. There's an obvious path of footprints that Brazha follows which tellingly avoid the patches of flowers, leading to the manor house itself, securely held between two peaks.
  100. The door is unlocked, shouldered open, and stepped through to reveal-
  101.
  102. Everything is goddamn large. Brazha size, no less. Chairs like thrones to a normal human. Tables high off of the ground. Even the doorways are at least ten foot tall. It's like being shrunk in a normal abode, left to run through some home full of opulence whilst the size of a child.
  103. Apart from for Eiphraem, of course. Might be more adequately sized!
  104.
  105. In any case, Brazha gestures to the northern table.
  106. (Brazha Earthcleaver)
  107. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  108.
  109. [22:00] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "Take a seat. Make yourself. Comfortable."
  110. [22:03] And so came the golden nagual, just as everyone was situating themselves in for whatever sordid or silent affair they were planning. Or party. Anta was just told to bring drinks and fish and that's what she held in her arms.
  111.
  112. Between the two of them, they had well over twenty bottles of booze, a bottle of vinegar, three black trout, and some other fish...
  113.
  114. And a crab that looked like it was just moments ago plucked out of the ocean and clubbed senseless against the rocks. Still had a bit of wet seaweed on it, to be honest.
  115.
  116. "We've brought the drinks!~ And the vinegar!~"
  117. (Anta)
  118. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  119.
  120. [22:05] The home is more than impressive, though the size of everything is perhaps a little difficult for the poor, poor skeleton. He's less than tall, having a slightly below-average height for a skeleton of his proper stature. While his face cannot express his concerns, as he looks upon the chair, he merely thinks,
  121.
  122. Am I going to have to ask Eiphraem to put me in a seat?
  123.
  124. His eyes flit from the chair to Eiphraem, and after a moment of consideration, his gaze glides over to their host.
  125.
  126. "Thank you for your hospitality, Brazha."
  127.
  128. Polite enough. He awaits the Archon's move like a proper attendant, though. This is not quite his journey, and he is... less than certain he will avoid making a fool of himself.
  129. (Peacekeeper)
  130. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  131.
  132. [22:08] The demon seems at ease, as he slides serenely after the giant. A small flask at his hip, a glass with an etched 'o' into it shines out in turn, but it was true; Eiphraem's presence certainly held a lacklustre aspect to it.
  133.
  134. His companions were certainly of more assistance.
  135.
  136. Doubtless, Brazha might hear the occasional buzz of the poorly controlled telepathy Eiphraem wielded- Small trills of amusement and interest, memories- The Montbell manor once stood nearby. I remember... He doesn't share these little tidbits intentionally...
  137.
  138. But she was free to speak on it. Any were.
  139.
  140. There is a palpable, silly bit of envy when they pass through the doorway as the serpent turns his frenetic examination to the furniture to the landscaping, to everything as they move inside. They rest briefly on curtains, on ornaments, on any trophies or decorations Brazha might have from her past or present.
  141.
  142. His voice laments aloud. "Ah. I wish I had accomodations like this before..."
  143.
  144. He moves himself over towards a seat; Easily enough, the serpent rises himself up onto one effortlessly, bringing himself up simply on the coils; Though he might still seem 'outscaled', given his body proportions.
  145.
  146. For now, at least.
  147.
  148. Eyes glance at Illaron and Peacekeeper, placidly- Before his finned, tipped tail flicks quietly at Anta's words!
  149.
  150. "I do thank you for your welcome. It is a wonderful place that you have doubtless shaped with your hands," His words are carefully chosen.
  151. (Eiphraem Kang)
  152. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  153.
  154. [22:08] Eiphraem Kang whispers something.
  155. [22:09] Peacekeeper stares at a chair. Powerlessly. Thoughtfully. His gaze slides over to Eiphraem. Helplessly.
  156. (Peacekeeper)
  157. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  158.
  159. [22:09] And off they went!
  160.
  161. After traveling through the dark caves of the mountain side for a fair length of time, the group eventually arrived at a lone house, sitting on top a cliff side. It was surprisingly quaint, much different than what the Archon had expected such a person to reside in. Upon entering the abode, his gaze shifts to the oversized furniture. It was like they were built for a giant.
  162.
  163. Which in all fairness, they were.
  164.
  165. Illaron nods at Brazha, and begins to approach one of the various chairs at the table. Fortunately for him, Illaron wasn't small by any means, and while the chairs are certainly a touch large even for him, he manages to comfortably sit in one.
  166.
  167. "I expected something different." Illaron admits, his hands now resting upon the large wooden table. "But no matter. We can begin our talks here uninterrupted."
  168. (Illaron)
  169. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  170.
  171. [22:10] Peacekeeper whispers something.
  172. [22:13] The silk-clad Aziza trundles along after Anta, carrying a heavy-looking box of well-maintained glass bottles - none labeled, and clearly made here at the settlement rather than imported. And, not one, but two of the requisite bottles of vinegar, with a faint smell of old wine about them. Dead wine, really. How fitting.
  173.
  174. Aziza approaches the table, all smiles, and sort of dips into a box-carrying curtsey without, thankfully, dropping any of the contents.
  175.
  176. "We have ale, wine, beer, vodka, even sake. Vanir sake, not that too-sweet Jianghese swill. All made and sold right here."
  177. (Aziza Maru)
  178. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  179.
  180. [22:13] Aziza Maru says, "We have vodka, ale, beer, wine, sake, all grown and brewed right here. Vanir-style sake, not Jianghese. That stuff's far too sweet."
  181. [22:15] Alas, poor Peacekeeper, I knew thee well.
  182. To ask to be picked up or not, that is the question.
  183.
  184. One vast hand rises to beckon Anta and Aziza over with their food and drink, before the titan makes their typical slow way to their own seat. Bit by bit, and not too fast, Brazha drops down onto it.
  185.
  186. Under the combined weight of Brazha and plate mail, it creaks regardless.
  187.
  188. "Yes. There will be no. Interruptions. Once Anta locks the door again. We're very. .
  189. Out of the way. Lots of guests. But none come up this far."
  190. (Brazha Earthcleaver)
  191. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  192.
  193. [22:16] Anta says, "Mhmm!~ And plenty of fish, some sushi!~ Tell us what you'd like, and then we will leave you to your business!~"
  194. [22:19] The demon grasps the bottle curiously, not quite realizing. He sets it up, and after the soft, acid wisped murmur from the skeleton-
  195.
  196. Arms reach, and he is lifted almost tenderly; Treated like he was some sort of princess being raised onto a carriage, gripped by the hips and lifted with care onto the nearby seat.
  197.
  198. Eiphraem leans forwards, murmuring something smugly. Brazha would certainly overhear.
  199.
  200. Eyes go to the drinks, thereafter, his tail coiling about the legs of the seat, curiously.
  201.
  202. say goodbye to dignity
  203. also, he proceeds into white.
  204. (Eiphraem Kang)
  205. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  206.
  207. [22:19] Eiphraem Kang whispers: Ah, you know- You ARE mine. I could have you in my lap. Try not to take offense.
  208. [22:19] Eiphraem Kang whispers: They are being polite.
  209. [22:19] Eiphraem Kang says, "Ahem."
  210. [22:19] Eiphraem Kang asks, "So, then. Shall yours be privy to this conversation?"
  211. [22:21] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "We don't need to. Embroil them in this. Sitting around and talking. Far too many. Boring things to discuss."
  212. [22:21] Brazha Earthcleaver says, ". .And some personal things. They're free to. Go have fun. After this."
  213. [22:21] Peacekeeper silently cries as he is lifted up into the seat. While his dignity and reservation with Eiphraem has been whittled into nothing again and again throughout the past year, this is a new low. Or a new height, perhaps, as he's carefully lifted and put into the seat, very much like a child at an adult dinner.
  214.
  215. His head, at least, peeks above the table. He hopes.
  216.
  217. He looks at a bottle of vinegar and prepares to drown himself with it, before lamenting,
  218.
  219. "I lack the need to breathe."
  220.
  221. His despair is hidden by the emotionless lack of tone in his voice, but for someone who knows him as well as Eiphraem does, it certainly would not sound like he is admitting it as a strength.
  222. (Peacekeeper)
  223. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  224.
  225. [22:22] Anta says, "Just here to drop off whatever you'd all like!~ I would not wish for anyone to be left wanting up here."
  226. [22:23] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "Thank you. You two."
  227. [22:24] Aziza ends up totally arranging everything on the table and not on the floor, because that would be weird and silly.
  228.
  229. She backs up, and sets the box in a corner to trot along after Anta again, not looking particularly bothered at not being part of the revelry. Or whatever it is!
  230. (Aziza Maru)
  231. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  232.
  233. [22:24] As Eiphraem reaches over and pours vinegar into Peacekeeper's gullet, he begins to raise a finger in protest - before accepting the fact that his joke had been taken just a little bit too seriously.
  234.
  235. In any case, a violent bubbling occurs inside the skeleton's insides, and plumes of cyan-tinted gas roll up past his skull. They disappear into the air eventually, but not before they erase what he has left of an ego.
  236.
  237. His finger falls, landing upon the humongous chair with a tiny
  238.
  239. clack.
  240.
  241. He hangs his head in shame.
  242. (Peacekeeper)
  243. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  244.
  245. [22:25] Illaron looks away.
  246. (Illaron)
  247. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  248.
  249. [22:25] Anta does the same, placing a platter of fish and sushi onto the table awfully close to Eiphraem. Not to lead him to eat something, but... Well, it didn't appear that she felt that anyone else at the table would want any.
  250.
  251. "We'll leave you to it, and I'll lock the door!~ Enjoy your evening, Brazha!~"
  252.
  253. After that, she turned to leave with Aziza... Unless stopped!
  254. (Anta)
  255. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  256.
  257. [22:28] There's some pretty blatant staring Peacekeeper's way- obvious but, well. .
  258. It's not as if a blank helmet can look particularly judgemental, right? That stare could just be out of curiosity!
  259.
  260. One huge hand rises to wave Anta and Aziza off, accompanied by the low rumble of Brazha's voice.
  261.
  262. "You're both. Appreciated."
  263. (Brazha Earthcleaver)
  264. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  265.
  266. [22:30] Splip, splip-
  267.
  268. He tips the vinegar slightly over the sushi- What he doesn't idly attempt harass Peacekeeper with. He doesn't intend to make a mess, but-
  269.
  270. A light, contented vibration touches against Peacekeeper's skull, a psionic resonance that could probably be felt like an emotional jab.
  271.
  272. His head turns- "Thank you, for your hospitality."
  273.
  274. Fingers lightly pick for vegetables- Not to remove them, but the demon seems to favor anything made with greens and fruits particularly. The extra crackle of vinegar actually seems preferred, as soft, slippery meat accompanies them.
  275.
  276. "Apologies, of course-"
  277.
  278. "Please, do tell me what you require."
  279.
  280. His eyes stare to the bottles of alcohol, curiously.
  281.
  282. A tiny little ? pops against Peacekeeper's skull, as though urging him for guidance.
  283. (Eiphraem Kang)
  284. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  285.
  286. [22:36] "Try the wine. Made specifically for that deal we made. Illaron."
  287.
  288. Vast shoulders rolls as if to relieve tension, breastplate rising and falling for a moment. .
  289. Before both hands rise to alight upon that cross-visored helm, lifting it up and off unceremoniously. Brazha shakes out those great red braids as she sets the helm aside, taking a moment to turn that great eye between all of those present.
  290.
  291. Her visage is stony, unchanging. Voice much the same. But as the titan speaks, that eye narrows somewhat.
  292.
  293. "The things I needed to talk. To both of you about. Are very different.
  294. So I suppose. It would be best to start. With an adjoining factor. One that I'm sure. Hurts us all. You two. More than I."
  295. (Brazha Earthcleaver)
  296. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  297.
  298. [22:36] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "There are many things. I had initially planned with the late. Somnus. I intend to see the things. He and I intended. Through."
  299. [22:37] Eiphraem Kang says, "You will likely get to speak with him again."
  300. [22:37] Eiphraem Kang says, "Please, however, go on."
  301. [22:37] Illaron seems visibly angry at the mention of Somnus, though it quickly fades away.
  302. (Illaron)
  303. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  304.
  305. [22:38] After his self-confidence has recovered somewhat, Peacekeeper raises his gaze to look upon Brazha. It seems to him that it might not be polite to stare for all of the meeting, and so he occasionally looks either Illaron or Eiphraem's way. Eiphraem's more often than Illaron's, for perhaps obvious reasons.
  306.
  307. Otherwise, the skeleton remains mostly silent. At least he can very easily examine the edges of the table, seeing how close they are to eye level.
  308. (Peacekeeper)
  309. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  310.
  311. [22:40] wtf peacekeeper im just big with one eye you hang out with a snake boy
  312.
  313. A low grunt sounds from the colossus as she glances between Eiphraem and Peacekeeper, raising a brow as if in curiosity, perhaps trying to draw a link between Somnus' return and, well. Peacekeeper's situation.
  314. (Brazha Earthcleaver)
  315. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  316.
  317. [22:41] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "I will save my. Questions on him. For the sake of our hearts. But. ."
  318. [22:41] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "Firstly. The topic of his. That is relevant to both of you. He seemed to want to arrange. An actual alliance. Instead of just these. . Good relations. And trades."
  319. [22:42] Illaron says, "An alliance? <*His gaze shifts to Ephiraem for a moment.*>"
  320. [22:42] Eiphraem Kang asks, "I see. What would you like specifically to arrange?"
  321. [22:43] Eiphraem Kang says, "I am, of course, merely an intermediary for my Lady, Tragedy. And her continued dominion with Lady Kayeliun. But I am certain we can at least work out a preliminary proposal."
  322. [22:45] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "The arrangement. Was originally intended to be between. Somnus, Illaron, Zaruma and I. That was why. He arranged that meeting. But. ."
  323. [22:45] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "There's no reason. To exclude my friends. In Crafthold."
  324. [22:45] Brazha's unshielded face is regarded for a moment, as Eiphraem speaks.
  325.
  326. The bottle is, naturally, able to be located; Taking ahold of the marked and stored piece from Brazha and Anta's vineyards, the demon's finger dips, politely. The stoppered, waxen seal is cracked by talons politely, and simply wedges out the cork that preserves the fermented wine.
  327.
  328. His nostrils flick, and the tongue-within-a-tongue flicks out briefly to 'taste' at the air that pools out of it with the hint of surprise, bobbling his head.
  329.
  330. ...
  331.
  332. Has he never had alcohol before...?
  333.
  334. He slides it across to Illaron, bowing his head dutifully.
  335.
  336. Seniority was respected.
  337. (Eiphraem Kang)
  338. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  339.
  340. [22:46] Eiphraem Kang says, "I see."
  341. [22:46] Eiphraem Kang says, "Do go on."
  342. [22:49] Peacekeeper leans over to Eiphraem, allowing his gaze to slide to the various bottles of alcohol, before a soft and gentle stream of words radiates out from Peacekeeper's body. Perhaps not the most polite thing in the world to whisper in polite company, but he must have some reason for it. After the whisper, he scoots back to the center of his seat (because presumably, he had to scoot to the edge of it to whisper to Eiphraem in particular in the first place.
  343. (Peacekeeper)
  344. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  345.
  346. [22:49] Peacekeeper whispers something.
  347. [22:54] As the bottle of wine quickly slides across the table, it is promptly caught by the Archon. He takes a moment to examine it, and watches as the purple liquid inside swirls around inside. "Ah yes, the finest wine on Agartha." Illaron mutters, before taking a small sip of the wine. While the Archon had no need to eat or drink such things, sometimes enjoying such treats was enjoyable.
  348.
  349. Though such an occasion came rarely.
  350.
  351. "I am not opposed to an alliance. A proper alliance." Illaron replies, his voice echoing through the minds of all within the house. The wine bottle is then slid back across to Eiphraem, with hopes that the Naga will be quick enough to catch it.
  352.
  353. "While it is not my decision to make alone, I am not against it. What will you bring to the table, Outlander?"
  354. (Illaron)
  355. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  356.
  357. [22:57] Eiphraem's hands deftly catch the bottle- Neatly, softly, perfectly, just before it hit the edge of the table. He listens seriously to Peacekeeper's murmurs, and cautiously gives it another sniff, eyes wide, like a curious dog.
  358. (Eiphraem Kang)
  359. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  360.
  361. [22:59] It doesn't seem as though Brazha herself makes any move for the wine at first- in truth, whilst the cyclops is fittingly a fan of fine foods, they rarely actually drink any of the wine produced in the settlement, let alone any of the other alcoholic drinks.
  362. Why would she? After all, it'd take a hell of a lot more to have any real effect on someone so huge.
  363.
  364. But, perhaps realising that this particular table is effectively a good chunk of what amounts to royalty on Agartha, and they're all drinking wine that Brazha seems to avoid, the titan reaches out to grab a bottle of whatever's in arm's reach.
  365. Best to not raise suspicions of poisoning other leaders.
  366. (Brazha Earthcleaver)
  367. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  368.
  369. [23:00] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "It seems. Numerous of your lot. Have thought we were allies. For a long time. Somnus included. In truth, well. ."
  370. [23:00] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "We are a burgeoning land. Rapidly growing. Producing money. Enabling trade. And far less of that would have been possible. If we joined this war."
  371. [23:00] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "If I had joined it. Rather. But. ."
  372. [23:01] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "There is no longer. A situation where I worry. About attacks from Ardent. I am more willing. Now that we're established. To begin outlining terms."
  373. [23:01] Illaron asks, "And what exactly would those terms be?"
  374. [23:03] Eiphraem Kang says, "I have long ensured control over the majority of territory from the southeast onwards."
  375. [23:03] Eiphraem Kang says, "Gaiar should control the northeast, of course..."
  376. [23:05] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "I know what I want. From it, certainly. ."
  377. [23:06] Illaron asks, "And that is..?"
  378. [23:07] "Vengeance."
  379.
  380. The titan's head tilts ever so slightly, the glimmer of gold that swirls within the blue depths of that huge eye growing a touch brighter as it turns to watch Illaron directly, far more sharp and aware than the titan's slowness would imply.
  381.
  382. "Askiladd Sea-Snake. Dead. Jack. One who aided him. Branded. One by one. I catch up to those four. Who attacked my farmers. My hold. My property. The thieves."
  383. (Brazha Earthcleaver)
  384. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  385.
  386. [23:07] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "I know of another. And it's situations like this. Once Ardent is gone. That I will need rectified."
  387. [23:07] Eiphraem Kang asks, "Who are they?"
  388. [23:08] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "Any of your criminals. That come to my land. Returned to yours. Any of mine. That run to you. Returned to me. As it stands currently. ."
  389. [23:08] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "I know the name of one. Of the remaining two. But I have told Zaruma. He's best off used as. A dog of war. Until war comes to a close."
  390. [23:08] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "Usiel.#"
  391. [23:11] A curious gaze had been split between the various speakers, but now a curious voice breaks its silence. It is perhaps a bit of a break in the conversation as well, as those eyes stare up at Brazha.
  392.
  393. "Is there anything deeper you desire from Agartha? While your priority now is vengeance, I feel as if the reason you came to Agartha in the first place - and anything you may want in the future - could be very pertinent to such an agreement."
  394. (Peacekeeper)
  395. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  396.
  397. [23:11] Illaron says, "Usiel is indeed an important figure in the war against Ardent."
  398. [23:12] Illaron asks, "What exactly do you plan on doing with him, in the event we did turn him over to you?"
  399. [23:14] The serpent does not silence his companion.
  400.
  401. He merely pours himself a cup, his eyes focus on it. The name she invokes makes the demon's earfins fold against the sides of his heads, if it tilts. "So long as the fate of extradictional criminals can be discussed between us, particularly for magi, I would not object. I understand that is a major stipulation."
  402.
  403. "However, I believe it is something that favors you. Your people are less numerous. I am aware how precious your magi must be unto you; It will also avoid accrual of negative will amongst any of us. I am certain my Lady and I are willing to agree..."
  404.
  405. He slowly raises the glass to his lips...
  406. (Eiphraem Kang)
  407. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  408.
  409. [23:29] "Similar to the fate. Of Jack. But I have no intention to weaken. Usiel. Before he fights again in war. Understand that much.
  410. I would be. . Willing. To discuss punishment for crimes. Yes. But when one steals from me. ."
  411.
  412. That great eye turns towards Peacekeeper in particular- it seems as though continuing the topic at hand and answering the skelebone's question can be made one and the same.
  413.
  414. "For the first time. In any living memory. The followers of our gods. Made a ceasefire. Valmasia knocked on their door. Foreign powers clamoured over this island. Representatives from each god. Were sent to scout.
  415.
  416. But. I was never here. With any intention of returning."
  417.
  418. When Brazha speaks again, a rather different cadence falls over her words- they flow more fluidly, with less awkward pauses or moments taken to consider. Words spoken innumerable times, no doubt.
  419.
  420. "When Great Garjling once again rises from his slumber, jaws full of mortal treasures, and gullet weighing the worth of men. Man and dragon alike will kneel in the shadow of the Conqueror Wyrm. The Champions of the Scaled Tyrant will sit upon thrones of gold. In palaces of gold.
  421. In Vanirhalla, the worship of our gods is very personal. We are vessels of them. Worshipping them. Self improvement. Indulging their whims. Is indulging ours."
  422.
  423. A deep breath, and then-
  424.
  425. "The way I see it. When someone has something. Taken from them. If it's gold. Or flesh. Or power. Or anything. Then they lose part of. Their value. Part of their worth. They become. Lesser. Further from what they could be.
  426. In my eye. That means that when we gain. Wealth, power, influence. Anything. We gain value. Become more. And more. And more. We become. Greater versions of ourselves.
  427.
  428. I seek to break my chains. Skeleton friend.
  429. I owe it to myself. We all do. To become the best version of ourselves. That we can be. I will become. The greatest Brazha. The idealised version. Of myself.
  430.
  431. When I take a handful of gold. I become more. When I take value from another. I become more. When I take influence. I become more. And with every bit of gain. It becomes easier. To gain even more.
  432.
  433. I have told Tragedy. All I want. One day, my influence here will become. So great. That I will sit upon a hoard. Of gold. And bones. So tall that the mountains will weep in envy. My power. My influence. Will flow from it like mountain streams. I will stand towering upon it. The ideal me. Recognised by my god. Twice-gifted. A paragon. Of taking all. To become ideal. Ruling over you Archons? Irrelevant. Not the goal. I don't care to dispute your power. Only increase my own."
  434.
  435. One hand rises, running a fingertip over a slate-grey horn!
  436.
  437. "He has already recognised me. My gain. Soon, I know. Soon I know he will view me as more. Than a Champion. I will stand towering in spirit.
  438.
  439. In short. Skeleton friend. ."
  440.
  441. At that point, Brazha's great eye breaks away from Peacekeeper, instead quite pointedly turning Eiphraem's way. The gold within swirls and thrashes with increased intensity, outright glowing with luminescence by now! In fact, it seems to absorb one's gaze, making it take an oddly conscious effort to glance away.
  442. Taking, never giving.
  443.
  444. "I want to grow."
  445. (Brazha Earthcleaver)
  446. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  447.
  448. [23:45] He listens.
  449.
  450. Captivated indeed; That single eye holds the archon's gaze neatly, the whirling flecks keeping him lightly transfixed- Though the tip of his tail brushes lightly against Peacekeepers leg, a silent reply as the slow, rumbling voice of the living mountain crumbles down with the words of her own pinnacle.
  451.
  452. His lips kiss the edge of the cup- He takes such tiny little gulps.
  453.
  454. Only briefly does his gaze rise; When she fingers her own horn, his attentions drift upwards, momentarily, before going back down. His head bobbles, gently, in acknowledgement.
  455.
  456. "I see."
  457.
  458. "I hold no issue with such a goal. I am unphased of non-violent competition. It will encourage civilization and I am curious as to see where the fractures go. So long as my terms are agreeable? I believe within this vein, I would not deny allowing it."
  459.
  460. "I think it will be interesting enough."
  461.
  462. His talons clack against the rim ofthe tightly help cup, preventing it from ringing. A piece of peeled, picine flesh in the other is lightly popped into his mouth, squishing pleasantly...
  463.
  464. "My Lady's goals are ever-mercurial. I am curious as to see what you will do, and in what direction. I see no reason that these terms are poor for us."
  465.
  466. A soft glance is directed towards the glowing sockets of the unchanging, bone white skull, only parted briefly before glancing back.
  467.
  468. The cup is steadily drained.
  469. (Eiphraem Kang)
  470. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  471.
  472. [23:47] Peacekeeper says, "It sounds to me like your desires and ambitions are not all too different from those of demons, Brazha. All of them seem fixed upon an ever-increasing ceiling of ambition and influence - and as such, I believe you might share a lot of common ground you can work from."
  473. [23:49] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "Yes, I- Tragedy and I. Talk often enough. On this topic. Of all of you Archons. She is who I talk to most often. However, I have more to offer. ."
  474. [23:49] Eiphraem Kang asks, "Oh?"
  475. [23:49] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "Again and again. Be it Tragedy. Or others speaking of. The desires of their leaders. I have learned there is something. Many of you are after."
  476. [23:50] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "I have no idea. What a spire shard is. But. I am very much willing. To set up some sort of arrangement. ."
  477. [23:50] Eiphraem Kang says, "Mh. Mhmhmhmh."
  478. [23:50] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "Be it funding research. Purchasing goods. As long as I. Gain enough from the deals. I am open to them."
  479. [23:51] Eiphraem suddenly has VERY open eyes from the other side of the cup, though he doesn't speak.
  480. (Eiphraem Kang)
  481. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  482.
  483. [23:51] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "Let me put this. Even more bluntly."
  484. [23:52] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "I have almost thirty thousand coin. Worth of gold and gems. On my person. Right now."
  485. [23:53] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "This. Is a major advantage of an alliance. Easier deals. And arrangement. Regarding the gathering and implimentation. Of these shards."
  486. [23:53] Eiphraem Kang asks, "And what is it you wish for in return?"
  487. [23:54] Eiphraem Kang asks, "Refinement? Those who will refine those shards for your usage, as well?"
  488. [23:54] Eiphraem Kang says, "I DO possess the people for such things."
  489. [23:54] Eiphraem Kang says, "In copious quantities."
  490. [23:54] Illaron remains silent, as the more charismatic of the Archons speak.
  491. (Illaron)
  492. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  493.
  494. [23:55] Eiphraem Kang says, "I have the finest shapers of metal, the weavers of magic, the unifiers of arcane concoctions, and more, yes."
  495. [23:57] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "The specifics will depend on what we. All need at the time, yes? Whenever one of you finds the need. For funding. I am very, very receptive. Of deals with allies. But if you mean. What I'm after on a more immediate basis. ."
  496. [23:58] Brazha Earthcleaver says, ". .We come back to Somnus."
  497. [23:58] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "I told you. Eiphraem. I told you of what I. Learned from him. About you."
  498. [23:58] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "I wanted to see it. Against Katzan. It was disappointing you held back."
  499. [23:58] Peacekeeper asks, "You wanted to see someone bigger than you?"
  500. [23:59] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "No. I want. I want to /take/ it. I want to stand. Towering. Over humans. The ideal me. Towering in spirit. Towering in body. I want. To take that knowledge."
  501.
  502. [00:02] Peacekeeper says, "I am a little confused on how knowledge can be taken, without being shared. That particular piece of knowledge, anyhow."
  503. [00:10] Ah.
  504.
  505. The Demetrius problem all over again,
  506.
  507. The cup nears it's dregs, as Eiphraem's tail flits idly. "I am uncertain how I may be able to assist, but." Shoulders roll, a sudden tension and dis-ease in them, as Eiphraem's gaze finally stares out. "Context is perhaps necessary."
  508.
  509. "... But, perhaps. It comes from the same origin." He sets the cup down upon the table. A light ring is provoked, from the goblet, as the sleek back edge of his claws circle the edge. "I was not a particularly bright juvenile, and, I have always lacked the- Ah. Potential, of my peers, in many ways."
  510.
  511. "What you would simply see is my adaption. I looked like this, you see, as a- As a Kaor." Eyes half-lid; The demon's voice remains melodic, trilling lightly on exhalation, as he tries to avoid stumbling too poorly over his words, or to choke on them. They're starting to tumble out faster, his mind getting slightly impeded.
  512.
  513. He tips the bottle for a second glass...
  514.
  515. "My path of evolution was- Stunted. Slow. To the point that many would rarely take me seriously. I saw my peers of an era swing past myself, and I did not possess the wits to understand it, in truth. An entire generation surpassed and perished in an eyeblink."
  516.
  517. "There is much I did not evolve properly, nor into particularly... Superior, forms."
  518.
  519. "I was... Attached to what I was, and what I became by the time I was a kaor. That, or perhaps, I am simply just defective." Shoulders shrug. "I do not think my status is enviable." His voice is completely, utterly quiet, almost a whisper, if with none of the conviction of intent.
  520.
  521. His earfins are folded back.
  522.
  523. "If it is communion with your god? See yourself in that ideal form. Evolve yourself."
  524.
  525. "I think your path is perhaps more clear than mine was."
  526. (Eiphraem Kang)
  527. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  528.
  529. [00:20] "Maybe that's just it. Then."
  530.
  531. That great eye narrows ever so slightly, but its gaze never breaks from Eiphraem for an instant. Bright, swirling, glimmering, that golden glimmer only grows more agitated.
  532. But in the center, the titan's pupil remains free from being eclipsed, a black void in the center of the vortex. Hungering.
  533.
  534. It's rare for any emotion to show itself upon the titan's stony visage, about as impassive as their voice tends to be- indeed, only extremes of emotion show through very often. Perhaps that's why that anger tends to be the most common one to be shown, simply due to how easily a thief can stoke it. But. .
  535. For a moment, a glimmer of a broad, blunt tongue runs over dried lips, thoughtful and unconscious. Brow furrowed, the very corners of the colossus' mouth twitches downwards.
  536.
  537. But then that's it. The only emotion that shows.
  538.
  539. "Maybe. It will be my desire. Being so similar to yours. That will enable it.
  540. Your limitations. Surpassed. My limitations. Surpassed. Both of us. Breaking our chains.
  541.
  542. I will keep this in mind. Eiphraem. You have told me much more. Than my last target did."
  543.
  544. A deep breath brings that vast breastplate to rise and fall. That huge eye drifts shut.
  545. (Brazha Earthcleaver)
  546. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  547.
  548. [00:21] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "Alliance discussed. Usiel discussed. Shards discussed. What I want from Eiphraem discussed."
  549. [00:21] Brazha Earthcleaver asks, "Now. What other smaller settlements. Around here. Are you allied with?"
  550. [00:21] Eiphraem Kang says, "I believe Tochan was handled. The Gehennan tribes are under Lady Kayeliun. "
  551. [00:23] Peacekeeper says, "I love the idea of breaking chains. It lights a fire in my soul. Please, continue saying things like that."
  552. [00:24] Eiphraem Kang says, "Our only open enemy is Ardent. All others are currently... Acceptive, of Agartha as a whole being at peace."
  553. [00:24] Eiphraem Kang says, "Though, whom knows. The dryad Sibri was never my qualm, but I will defend my boon companions from southern religious superstition."
  554. [00:25] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "There is one problem. A problem for me. And one Tragedy has expressed problems with. That I intend to deal with."
  555. [00:26] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "You've bludgeoned him publically. Katzan."
  556. [00:26] Brazha Earthcleaver asks, "What do you intend. To do with him?"
  557. [00:26] Eiphraem Kang says, "I am going to erase his existance as a person, and replace him with a new one."
  558. [00:26] Eiphraem Kang says, "The man known as Katzan Xizoh will not survive."
  559. [00:27] Eiphraem is a bit more glib than usual, as he's halfway through the second cup after that discussion of his 'power'.
  560. (Eiphraem Kang)
  561. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  562.
  563. [00:28] Eiphraem Kang says, "The plea of my individual people has requested that I do not allow him to simply be executed for his disease."
  564. [00:28] Eiphraem Kang says, "He is deeply ill."
  565. [00:30] Peacekeeper says, "I feel like once he's divorced of his idiocy, he might be a decent sparring partner."
  566. [00:30] It seems that Brazha doesn't quite intend to comment on Eiphraem's intentions, at least not quite yet. But that eye narrows once more, made vague by a lack of emotional expression.
  567.
  568. "Is that how you view it? A disease?"
  569. (Brazha Earthcleaver)
  570. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  571.
  572. [00:33] Shoulders roll.
  573.
  574. "He is incapable of solid communication, as you or I know of it. He is unable to differentiate between reality and delusion, to the point of danger. His ambitions are completely unable to be curtailed nonlethally, short of what I suggest."
  575.
  576. "I look into the most efficient solution to any problem. I cannot see it as not being ill, given the status and lineage of his family; Atl blood pollution." The second cup is vanishing far, far faster than the first. He refills it promptly.
  577.
  578. "Have you spoken to him? You would doubtless agree."
  579. (Eiphraem Kang)
  580. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  581.
  582. [00:35] Peacekeeper raises a thumb of assenting approval above his head. "He is entirely and completely ignorant of his limitations, and as such will never surpass them." He allows his arm to fall again thereafter, and sets his gaze upon one big eye anew. "It's almost sad, save for the bane he is on those around him."
  583. (Peacekeeper)
  584. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  585.
  586. [00:36] {Item} You picked up Ale x4.Dropped by Aziza Maru. .
  587. [00:39] "Great Garling. Vaalmoora. Kark."
  588.
  589. A brief nod is shot Eiphraem's way, before Brazha finally has the presence of mind to uncork her own bottle. Now, when one's patron deity represents gluttony and sloth as much as they do greed. .
  590. Was anyone really expecting Brazha to be particularly refined with table manners? She simply lifts her bottle of ale for a single great swig, swallowing down an alarming amount with a distinctly Brazha-sized gulp.
  591.
  592. "I've seen. Champions of all of them.
  593. Katzan is blessed by Kark. There is no doubt.
  594. I have my own. Intentions for him. But those of Kark are. . The most. Unruly. Unreasonable. Unwilling to. Reach their goals without. Destroying most everything in their path."
  595. (Brazha Earthcleaver)
  596. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  597.
  598. [00:39] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "Katzan is one thing. For Gaiar. Or Crafthold. But I know what he's been doing. And it's far more dangerous. For a smaller land. Like mine."
  599. [00:39] Eiphraem Kang says, "I have no patience or sympathy when he takes-- MY people."
  600. [00:39] Eiphraem Kang says, "They're mine. Under my protection. In my territory."
  601. [00:40] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "Hold onto that. Eiphraem."
  602. [00:40] Eiphraem Kang says, "He played with them."
  603. [00:40] Eiphraem Kang says, "And he agreed to my duel."
  604. [00:40] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "Because that. Is what I hold in my mind. Regarding Askiladd. Jack. Usiel."
  605. [00:40] Brazha Earthcleaver asks, "Do you know. What the man Jack and Usiel followed. Did to my Anta? Were you ever told?"
  606. [00:41] Peacekeeper says, "When you say Champions - does their status endear them to you in any way? Are those other gods blessed to you the same as your patron is? I am curious of your culture."
  607. [00:41] Eiphraem Kang says, "No, I was not."
  608. [00:41] Eiphraem Kang says, "Please, tell me."
  609. [00:45] "Anta is. My dearest property. Mine. More even than just being. A settler here. She is. My crowning jewel. The one who runs this place. When I'm away. Works unceasingly. My second in command. And my dearest.
  610.
  611. Askiladd Sea-Snake. Shattered her body. Ripped out her tongue. She thinks I don't know. That he tore off her jaw. Too.
  612. He damaged her. Injured her. Reduced the value. Of my crowning jewel. I can always see a new flaw. In a perfect gemstone."
  613.
  614. No further comment is given there- but it's plainly obvious. The cyclops has said plenty on just this in the meeting already, after all.
  615. Devaluing Anta, to Brazha, was reducing Anta and Brazha both in value, and thus in themselves.
  616.
  617. A deep breath.
  618. Brazha turns back towards Peacekeeper.
  619.
  620. "Karkites. And Vaalmoorans. Are never to be trusted."
  621. (Brazha Earthcleaver)
  622. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  623.
  624. [00:46] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "Karkites. Would hunt me for leather. Or a challenge. Vaalmoorans. Will use you. For their own goals. Slip a knife in your back. Or see someone like me as. An exotic experience."
  625. [00:46] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "No. I am not endeared. To Champions of Kark or Vaalmoora."
  626. [00:52] Peacekeeper nods in acknowledgement of this little tidbit of Vanirhallan culture. "It seems a little strange that different gods of a pantheon might be at odds, but I suppose it might make for a stronger culture altogether. Competition breeds the strong, correct?"
  627. (Peacekeeper)
  628. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  629.
  630. [00:53] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "Open war. For longer than any on Vanirhalla. Have been alive."
  631. [00:55] Peacekeeper asks, "Including immortals?"
  632. [00:55] Eiphraem's hand SLIPS over Peacekeeper's carpals quickly, as he leans over the table.
  633.
  634. The next set of drinks, the rice wine, has been sampled. Apparently, he's found it quite appealing. That one's going faster. His pupils lightly dialate.
  635.
  636. "Well, then."
  637.
  638. "I-" The serpent's voice warbles, lightly. "I do not think that is a very funny thing for them to do. I have known Usiel since he was a juvenile. I am aware he is often careless and mercurial. But that is- Inexcusable." Thunk! The cup is lightly clacked against the table. "I will admit, I- I had apprehension. But. She seems like a very, very gentle human. Very polite."
  639.
  640. "I can't think of ANYTHING that would call for that. I will ensure you are capable of calling him to task, if he was involved."
  641.
  642. "Allowing someone to touch your humans without consent is unpermissable. It can be overseen. I don't know- Foreignculture. I didn't know you knew much on it...?" His eyes swivel to Peacekeeper, voice quirking as an earfin twitches up.
  643.
  644. The slow, inexorable and stony cyclops is once again regarded, his face set stiffly. "I'll ensure you are capable of settling it."
  645. (Eiphraem Kang)
  646. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  647.
  648. [00:56] Peacekeeper whispers something.
  649. [00:57] Eiphraem Kang whispers: ... Ah- Hmn, is, is this too quickly?
  650. [00:57] Eiphraem Kang whispers: Is it a lot?
  651. [00:57] Peacekeeper whispers something.
  652. [00:58] "Usiel is. . The one I am. Least concerned with. Admittedly.
  653. I was told he only went with them. To protect one of the others. But that is still. Supporting Askiladd. ."
  654.
  655. The cyclops blinks once or twice at Eiphraem. Or. Winks? It's hard to tell, really.
  656.
  657. "Should. Should you be drinking. Much more. Eiphraem of Crafthold?"
  658. (Brazha Earthcleaver)
  659. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  660.
  661. [00:59] Peacekeeper seems to drift his gaze between his hand - taken freely, of course - the wine - given freely, of course - and Eiphraem - regarded kindly, of course. After the little exchange, though, he looks up to Brazha again.
  662. (Peacekeeper)
  663. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  664.
  665. [01:03] "I-"
  666.
  667. "I don't know." Beset on both sides, the serpent's mouth twists into a light, wistful moue, as he stares down at the opaque, milky liquid of nigorizake.
  668.
  669. The demon piffles, gently. Easily tangled black locks are puffed away from his eyes, and he stares down at the cup. "But it's so nice," A petulant, childish complaint. "You made it, and are sharing it."
  670.
  671. "I am enjoying this. You seem very reasonable! I like competency, reasonable action, politeness. Those are the things I find optimal in humans. ..." He briefly stares out, and his mouth hangs open as though there is more than that sentence.
  672.
  673. He chooses to then jump to a different track.
  674.
  675. "Katzan, fortunately, did not defile mine more than in strange, unpleasant, human face-mashing methods, but also by interfering in the service of my people unto the whole. Bounties, disruption, disrespect. A threat unto my Lady."
  676.
  677. "Askilaad Sea-Snake is dead. You have been able to play with Jack. Was there any others whom were with him? Will you require recompense, for your-"
  678.
  679. Eyes brighten, with a faint hazy gleam to them.
  680.
  681. "A shard. Tell you- I will tell you. I need them, yes, I do, but if you bring me one-"
  682.
  683. "I'll ensure it is used on your precious human. Something to make her hale and perfect again. I know we can. I am absolutely certain."
  684.
  685. "Consider it a gesture of good will. As long as you can provide that critical ingredient, I will handle all else."
  686. (Eiphraem Kang)
  687. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  688.
  689. [01:17] Numerous long moments of measured silence follow from the titan, metal-clad fingertips tapping lightly upon the immense table before all present- that is until that very hand rises, reaching out to rest upon Eiphraem's left arm.
  690. Brazha's touch is warm. Very, very warm indeed. Probably a bit too warm for comfort, even, but not quite painful.
  691.
  692. A gentle squeeze is provided as that golden glimmer takes in the sight of the increasingly drunken Archon.
  693.
  694. "Anta. Is loyal to me. Above all others. Bound to my gift. Above all others. I fear that she would deny as much. For the same shard. To go towards my own wealth. My own value.
  695.
  696. Speak to her on this offer. She will agree. Or decline.
  697. Just. . Just. Do not call her. Human. I have very few humans here. Almost all of us. Aren't human. She is a Nagual."
  698.
  699. That great head tilts ever so slightly, another pause falling over Brazha. But this one seems ever so slightly more uneasy- on top of the vague uneasiness of being in Brazha's presence already, at least.
  700.
  701. "I will find out. Who the last attacker is. And they will be treated. With less mercy than Usiel. Will be. That much I can promise."
  702.
  703. Brazha's brow furrows for a moment, before she adds in a lower tone. .
  704.
  705. "Don't imply. Humanity in me either. Eiphraem of Crafthold. You mean well. It isn't intentional.
  706. You like competency. Reasonable action. Politeness. Optimal in humans. But. That last part. Isn't what I am."
  707. (Brazha Earthcleaver)
  708. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  709.
  710. [01:18] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "Again. I seek to break my chains. I am. Transcendent. Don't compare me to humans. They have wronged me. By far the most."
  711. [01:18] Illaron says, "I like using the term 'Outlander'."
  712. [01:26] The demon does not shy away from the contact, though his head whips a bit quickly, eye slits narrowing towards that warm touch in seconds, his tail making an obvious sound as it unwinds in a moment's notice--
  713.
  714. But he doesn't frown. He merely seems a bit-
  715.
  716. Ready for adrenaline.
  717.
  718. He wraps his tail back around.
  719.
  720. His sleeve is soft, sleek, glossy; Water resistant, and well crafted and treated with some form of coating. The flesh underneath is thick, but only lightly dappled- Almost smooth, sharklike one could even say.
  721.
  722. "If she would reject your reparations, should I not simply refrain from asking? It is for the greater good. I will still abide by that request, should you wish it. I am very capable of convincing individuals of what is best for them." His head cocks at a distinctly unpleasant, normally impossible 90 degree angle, that would surely snap neck bones.
  723.
  724. "I apologize for all offense caused, Lady Brazha. I did not think of it as being a- An issue."
  725.
  726. "I will use Lord Illaron's terminology then. It is more accurate to the demmmmographic," His voice slips slightly. "That I intend-" He goes to 'sneak' another sip.
  727.
  728. This would be easily catchable.
  729.
  730. "Describe this final attacker to myself. I will see if I cannot aid you."
  731. (Eiphraem Kang)
  732. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  733.
  734. [01:35] "They attacked. When I was away. Came when I couldn't. Defend."
  735.
  736. Another deep breath, and another glimmer of expression- a twitch at the corner of her mouth, a moment of lingering anger in her voice. But after a moment or two, another slight squeeze is provided to the arm behind that sleeve.
  737. For as furious as the titan can become, quite publicly displayed in the past, that is not the vice that binds them. Brazha is quite capable of being as calm and patient as the earth.
  738.
  739. "Again. You will have to ask Anta. Of the attacker. She killed Askiladd Sea-Snake. She fought. All three of the other. Attackers. She is the one that. Bested all of them. Saw all of them.
  740.
  741. You can refrain from asking. Of the shard. Or you can ask. But if you don't, or if she declines. .
  742. We can discuss a new deal. Next time. Yes.
  743.
  744. Any offense is forgiven. I find it. Strange.
  745. Again and again. Humans pass through here. Talking ill of your kin. Archons. More than demons at large.
  746. But from you four. I have found nothing other than. Positivity. From humans. I rarely see anything but the opposite."
  747. (Brazha Earthcleaver)
  748. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  749.
  750. [01:37] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "This has been. Very productive. I look forward to official terms. Of an alliance being drafted. I look forward. To seeing offers. For funding. To the results of the funding, too. I look foward. To further. Prosperity and profit between us all."
  751. [01:37] Peacekeeper says, "Maybe it is due to your position of advantage, Brazha? People tend to leer and glare when they stare into the sun above them, you know."
  752. [01:37] Peacekeeper says, "Meanwhile, the Archons - in a position of advantage over yourself, if only a moderate one - have no such need."
  753. [01:37] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "I am tall. Skeleton friend. But that doesn't mean. Humans have always looked upwards."
  754. [01:38] Peacekeeper says, "I didn't mean your height. Merely your stature."
  755. [01:38] Peacekeeper says, "A man can stand on as many ladders as he wishes, and he will never increase his status by it."
  756. [01:40] Peacekeeper heavily considers standing up in his chair to make his point, but realizes he still might only tilt his head slightly downwards. That might not make his point so well. His eyes flit to Eiphraem, noting the various bottles...
  757. (Peacekeeper)
  758. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  759.
  760. [01:40] Peacekeeper whispers something.
  761. [01:41] Eiphraem has the glass to his mouth. His head tilts at Peacekeeper's warning... A bit splashes.
  762. (Eiphraem Kang)
  763. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  764.
  765. [01:42] Eiphraem Kang says, "Yes. I-"
  766. [01:43] Eiphraem Kang says, "Do think that they are of the belief that their inherent nature gives them-"
  767. [01:43] Peacekeeper says, "Eiphraem is a little excitable, Brazha. I wouldn't want to have to take a bite for you."
  768. [01:43] Eiphraem Kang says, "..."
  769. [01:43] Eiphraem Kang says, "Ahmn."
  770. [01:43] Illaron has gone through like 4 bottles of wine while the others spoke!
  771. (Illaron)
  772. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  773.
  774. [01:43] Eiphraem Kang says, "Well- I."
  775. [01:44] Brazha Earthcleaver asks, "Wait. What? Why are we. Biting things?"
  776. [01:44] Eiphraem Kang says, "Fwfh."
  777. [01:44] Peacekeeper asks, "Have you seen Eiphraem's fangs?"
  778. [01:45] Peacekeeper says, "They're terrifying. Well, to anything that has blood."
  779. [01:46] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "I will be terrified. When they're dragon sized. Until then. I will only be. Suitably cautious of poisonous fangs. Capable of easily killing."
  780. [01:46] Illaron says, "...Hic."
  781. [01:46] Brazha Earthcleaver asks, "But. That's not what I asked. Why are we biting?"
  782. [01:46] Eiphraem Kang asks, "Ah, I- It isn't Int. I. I didn't think. Of. That? I am fine. I think I'm fine?"
  783. [01:46] Eiphraem Kang asks, "Am I fine, Peacekeeper?"
  784. [01:47] Peacekeeper says, "When Eiphraem gets excited, he gets rather bitey."
  785. [01:48] Peacekeeper says, "He punched right through my armor with his teeth, you know."
  786. [01:48] Peacekeeper reaches up to part his robes near the collar, showing two big-ass fang-holes. Geez, what did Peacekeeper do to deserve that?
  787. (Peacekeeper)
  788. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  789.
  790. [01:49] Eiphraem Kang says, "A-"
  791. [01:49] Eiphraem Kang says, "A-"
  792. [01:49] Eiphraem Kang says, "Aaa- You-"
  793. [01:50] Illaron places another empty bottle of wine onto the table. Bottle by bottle sat empty next to each other, as many as five bottles sat upon the wooden table. Who would've known that the Archon had enjoyed the wine crafted by the Vanirhallans so much.
  794.
  795. "...Hic."
  796.
  797. His face was faintly red, and his eyes shift from person to person. He was focused, but admittedly slightly tipsy. Perhaps he was having a bit TOO much wine.
  798. (Illaron)
  799. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  800.
  801. [01:50] Eiphraem reaches out- Very casually, he tries to hide the evidence of his own failures, and with an abrupt motion, spills out of the seat to grab the skeleton and drag him forth.
  802. (Eiphraem Kang)
  803. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  804.
  805. [01:50] Eiphraem Kang says, "Yes."
  806. [01:50] Eiphraem Kang says, "This-"
  807. [01:50] Eiphraem Kang says, "This was very productive."
  808. [01:50] Eiphraem Kang says, "Thank you, for- For your hospitalization. Hospitality."
  809. [01:50] Eiphraem Kang says, "Please excuse me."
  810. [01:54] A glance is shot Eiphraem's way, then Illaron's way. That eye narrows. Then it drifts back towards Peacekeeper.
  811. Kindred spirits in soberness, whilst the BIG SPOOKY ARCHONS are the ones increasingly tipsy, to put it lightly!
  812.
  813. "In any case. Those are. . Most of the topics I wanted. To bring forth. You may stay as long or as short as you want. Buy as much as you want.
  814. Just. Make sure you don't bite. Anybody. Good travels, Eiphraem. If you want to buy more drinks. On your way out. I won't tell anyone."
  815.
  816. A slight nod is offered Eiphraem's way, attention returning to Illaron.
  817.
  818. "Are you going with them? If so. The same to you. Illaron of Gaiar. Remember about the. Shards."
  819. (Brazha Earthcleaver)
  820. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  821.
  822. [01:54] Peacekeeper, dragged out of his seat by the no-doubt-clumsy motion, lets out an "oof" as he nearly falls onto the floor, only saved from collapsing into a limp pile of armor and bones by Eiphraem's wonderfully tight grip.
  823.
  824. "Please do not squeeze me too hard. I am decidedly sturdy, but I do not wish to become fragile."
  825.
  826. He rights himself, before leaning in pretty close to Eiphraem and whispering something under his chin.
  827. (Peacekeeper)
  828. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  829.
  830. [01:54] Illaron says, "I will accompany them... "
  831. [01:54] Illaron says, "And I will keep the shards in mind."
  832. [01:54] Illaron says, "...Hic."
  833. [01:54] Peacekeeper whispers something.
  834. [01:57] Brazha Earthcleaver says, ". .Oh. And a word in your ear. Before you go. Eiphraem."
  835. [01:57] Eiphraem Kang asks, "Yes? Yes. Yes?"
  836. [02:00] The serpent's grip is, indeed, hellishly tight.
  837.
  838. When Peacekeeper clatters out, he's held as easily off the floor as a doll might be, the massive, musclebound arms and twisted, thick mitts of the runt of Gaiar grip his knight and gently shake him, before the cold, deathly bone comes right up to the nape of his neck--
  839.
  840. And his sidefins splay out, gills shutting tight as he babbles back.
  841.
  842. "I- I- I tried! That was slow! I really liked it!" He sputters out, disbelievingly, his tail whipping dangerously behind himself.
  843.
  844. But he comes to a pause, staring towards Brazha.
  845.
  846. It looked, really, like quite a few bottles had been polished off. What a dangerous thing to introduce demons to.
  847. (Eiphraem Kang)
  848. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  849.
  850. [02:02] Bit by bit, slowly but surely, Brazha rises from her seat.
  851. And rises. And rises. And rises a bit more, honestly.
  852. It's fairly clear that she's not exactly typical size even for a cyclops.
  853.
  854. She snatches the helm back up from the table, replacing it upon her head without ceremony! Great steps creak floorboards as Brazha gets as near to Eiphraem as possible without risking a bit ol' bite.
  855. Mutters lowly.
  856. Then heads to the door to unlock it.
  857. (Brazha Earthcleaver)
  858. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  859.
  860. [02:03] Brazha Earthcleaver whispers: Towering in spirit. Towering in body. But there will need to be. Even more. To become the ideal me. So far. Only Tragedy and Nyphadora know. The closest to her. So keep it secret. Just for those. Under her. I have asked Tragedy. For tutelage. So that I can take yet more.
  861. [02:03] Eiphraem Kang whispers: I-
  862. [02:04] Eiphraem Kang whispers: Do you want to know what, what I think helps?
  863. [02:04] Eiphraem Kang whispers: What I REALLY think?
  864. [02:05] Brazha Earthcleaver whispers: Provided you let no others know. I will. Listen to anything you say, yes.
  865. [02:05] Eiphraem Kang whispers: ... Think of all those people you loathe. Think of how much you want to see them as so far beneath you their actions no longer matter. When- When I ascended. It was when my companion was snatched away.
  866. [02:05] Eiphraem Kang whispers: I wished for nothing more.
  867. [02:06] Eiphraem Kang whispers: There is no greater solace for those wounds than to know you are everything, and they mean nothing.
  868. [02:06] Eiphraem Kang whispers: That you can change and shift that fortune with your own hands.
  869. [02:06] Peacekeeper whispers something.
  870. [02:06] Eiphraem Kang whispers: I-
  871. [02:06] Brazha Earthcleaver whispers: How Karkite of you. Eiphraem. . But. They aren't always wrong. I will hold your words to heart. You might call yourself. One who was once lesser. Not up to the snuff of your kin. But. You have broken your chains as I will. And that provides wisdom. That I recognise above most.
  872. [02:07] Brazha Earthcleaver whispers: Dispell any self doubt you have, Eiphraem. You have achieved a goal. Beyond almost any achievement.
  873. [02:07] Eiphraem Kang whispers: ... It is not something I allowed to eclipse my judgement of my allies.
  874. [02:07] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "So! Good travels. You three. To our prosperity and profit."
  875. [02:07] Eiphraem Kang whispers: But I simply- Think that when you are confronted with the lowest of the low. It's easier to feel pity, rather than hate.
  876. [02:07] Brazha Earthcleaver says, "You are welcome any time."
  877. [02:08] Eiphraem Kang says, "Thank you. I will try to visit one. Once. Again."
  878. [02:09] Eiphraem Kang says, "I shall hopefully see you anon- And yes."
  879. [02:09] Eiphraem Kang says, "Yes. I might..."
  880. [02:09] Eiphraem Kang says, "Make that purchase."
