- Fall's shotgun barked, her arm free to aim given Sylar's distraction. A full load of buckshot punched through his chest, turning his heart into mush, and he crumpled. As Baiken recovered, she saw Fall run over to help Carolina up, watching only for a moment before Sylar stirred, staggering to his feet with a hand over the bloody hole in his chest.
- "Call a medic," he croaked, spitting up blood amidst gurgling chuckles. He removed his hand, and the trio got a good look as the missing chunk of torso twisted and reformed right in front of their eyes. "...But not for me."
- "Epsilon," Carolina said as she got back to her feet, "Bioscan."
- "He's in perfect health," Church reported. "Perfect perfect. Like he'd never stubbed his toe in his life, let alone got shot through the chest. Why's this the second time we gotta deal with these healing assholes?"
