Yu-gi-oh 5ds my story 27

(As the announcer speaks, what remains of the crowd watches intently, including Tanner, Yanagi, Dexter, and the twins. Cortez's lifepoints stand at 1100, and has no monsters on the field. Akiza's Splendid Rose towers over the field, and she 3800 lifepoints. Splendid Rose has 1100 attack points.)
Announcer: Welcome back to the excitement, ladies and gentlemen! Akiza appears to have Cortez right where she wants him! Can he escape the reach of the Black Rose's Splendid Rose that can attack him directly now, or will his lifepoints get squeezed into pulp? Let's watch and find out!
Akiza: Well, Cortez I had a fun duel. It was quite the meal. Now Splendid Rose! Attack Cortez directly!
(Splendid Rose went in and started shooting rose petals to finish off Cortez)
Cortez: I play the trap, "Draining Shield!"
(A rainbow bubble shield covered Cortez and block the Petals from reaching him)
(The crowd cowers and screams, slammed with a gust of wind.)

Cortez: This stops your attack and recovers my life points! (now Cortez has 2200 lp)
Akiza: So you manage to stop my attack, but next turn I promise you that it won't matter. You'll still lose no matter what
(Cortez pauses for a moment, then draws.)
Cortez: We'll see!
(He drew the spell card Hyper Synchron.)
Cortez: I summon Goblindbergh! And thanks to his special ability, I get to summon *another* monster from my hand! So say hello again to the tuner monster, Hyper Synchron!

Cortez: And now I'm tuning my Hyper Synchron with my Goblindbergh to synchro-summon-- Stardust Dragon!
(Hyper Synchron starts the motor on his back, and his three stars fly straight up into a rushing void. four green rings descend, and align with Goblingbergh, transforming it into golden outlines, aligning its two stars...)
Cortez: Let's speed up!
[Stardust Dragon 2500//]
(She looked surprised to see Stardust on the field again)
Announcer: I don't *believe* it! It's the Stardust Dragon, Yusei failed to win with! Will this be no different when he attack uses it more efficiently?

Yanagi: It's Yusei's Stardust Dragon!
Dex: Why would he give it to Cortez?
Tanner: Maybe he gave it to him, so Cortez can beat her with it.
Leo: Well I say it's Yusei's way of helping Cortez so he would not be alone!
(Luna had a feeling that Leo could be right. She saw a image of Yusei with Cortez)
Luna: Cortez, if you're trying to speak with Akiza, please don't let it go to waste like Yusei did.

(At the hospital, Yusei was still unconscious, but he felt Cortez had Stardust with him)
Yusei (faint): Cortez.

Akiza: Did Yusei give it to you?! So you can be me?! Or did he give it to you, so he can mock me some more!
Cortez: Akiza, Yusei gave me this card, cause he believe he can contact you with it! He finally understood that because you are after me, he entrusted me to use it to reason with you!
Akiza: Why are you trying to pull that with me!? I can't have a friend! I want to be along! And all you are doing is giving me a reason for me to destroy you more!
Cortez: Akiza, as much as I want to make you pay for this for what you did in this tournament, Yusei wanted me to help you see the truth!
(Akiza looked down to herself as she seem to be on the verge of crying)
Akiza: When I first met you, those whose hated me would usually run away. You're the first that hates me and wants to take me head on. I realized what I truly wanted. Someone with hatred that wants to fight me.
Cortez: That's enough Akiza, I'm tried of listening all this about your suffering! I activate Hyper Synchron's special ability! When he's used for a to Synchro Summon a monster, the summon synchron monster gains eight hundred attack points! (Stardust Dragon now has 3300) Stardust Dragon!-- attack Splendid Rose!
(Destroyed. Akiza's lifepoints now stand at 2700.)
Cortez: I play two facedowns! Looks like *you're* up.

(The announcer's face is on the sphere.)
Announcer: That was a big shot For Cortez-- now will Stardust Dragon prove himself again to blast the Black Rose?
(The crowd is making unpleasant noise)
- Take that, you witch!
- Get her outta here!
Leo: All right! Cortez's got this!
Dex: I know!
Tanner: That was one awesome combo, gramps!
Yanagi: I wish Yusei could'of done the same.
Luna (think): There's something different about the way Cortez's dueling. It's almost like he's using for to give Akiza what she wants.

Akiza: That's more like it! (draw) Watch! (she drew Twilight Rose knight) I summon Twilight Rose Knight!
[Twilight Rose knight/1000/1000/L3] When this Rose Knight is successfully summon, I'm able to summon a monster that's level 4 or lower.
Yanagi: This is the same move she used to beat Cortez. Better sit back kids

Akiza: Now I summon Revival Rose!

Tanner: And I think we know what comes next


Akiza: Get ready, 'cause now I can use my monsters for a synchro-summon!! I tune my Twilight Rose Knight with my Revival Rose to create my ultimate monster waiting for her fangs to chow on her play toy-- I summon, Black Rose Dragon!
(The air around Akiza is glowing pink, as she raises her arm to the sky. Black Rose Dragon's thorned lashes whip through the air as it appears, graceful and terrifying, in a whirlwind, roaring.)




Akiza: Get ready to feel the fury of my Black Rose Dragon, once again Cortez!
[Black Rose Dragon 2400//]
Cortez: Last time she summoned Black Rose Dragon--
(Flash Back from the day Cortez duel the Black Rose when she summoned it)
Cortez (VO): Yusei interrupted before I can understand it what that think could do!
(FLash Back ends)
Cortez and now this time, there's no running back!
Akiza: Because as soon as it's summoned to the field, I can activate its special ability! So by taking a plant-type monster from the graveyard and then removing it from play, I can choose one of your monsters and set its attack points to zero! I'll sacrifice Wall of Ivy!
(Black Rose Dragon savagely chomps the ghost of Wall of Ivy that appears in the air before it.)
Akiza: It's a small price to pay, to take out all your dragon's attack points!
(Black Rose Dragon wraps Junk Warrior in glowing red vines.)
Cortez: Not Stardust!
Akiza: That lizard's worthless now! There's *nothing* that he can do! Black Rose Dragon attack!!
Cortez: *He* might not be able to help me, but Hyper Synchron can! Because I used him to summon Stardust Dragon, it can't be destroyed in battle!
Akiza: But you're *still* going to feel the wrath of my dragon!
Cortez: Not if I play this-- my "Defense Draw"! So now all the damage from your Dragon's attack is negated!
(The blast is deflected by a glowing shield around Cortez, and flies in all directions.)

(Part of it hits the dueling track; parts of the crowd scream and duck for cover)

Cortez: With the power of my "Defense Draw", I can draw a card!
Akiza: Better hope that draw becomes a lucky one as I lay two facedowns. Before I'm done, I'm play another card, and that's "Fissure!" So say goodbye to your pet!
Cortez: Not when I play Stardust's ability! I release him so I can stop your Fissure!
(Stardust Dragon vanished into thin air)
(Akize smiled for she knew it was the right moment)
Akiza: Perfect.
Cortez: Huh?
Akiza: I wanted to get rid of that lizard, so I can use this! "Soul Release!" Now I remove five cards from your grave! And one of them will be that Stardust Dragon of your!
Cortez: Augh!
(Cortez watched as four random cards and Stardust Dragon vanished from existence. Stardust appeared as if he's in pain and disappeared)
Akiza: With it gone, you won't be having him back. You're helpless and alone now!

(Cortez's friends gasped from seeing what just happened)
Tanner: With Stardust Dragon removed, he can't come back!
Yanagi (freaked): He's a goner!
Leo: Please don't lose like Yusei did.

(In the stands, a few columns of chairs have been completely totaled. A woman sits weeping in the aisle, and a young man stands and shouts)
- Come on?! You haven't cause enough damage *already*!?
(Another part of the crowd)
- Kick the Black Rose away!
(Another; Akiza is drowning in enmity; the rest of the crowd is chanting: Freak! Freak! Freak!)
- No one likes you!

Akiza: I'll set a card face down. (mutters) Go on, it doesn't matter. I have what I wanted. I'll keep dueling until you have nothing else worth while
(Cortez watches her silently as she continues.)
Akiza: I've wanted a perfect prey so I can enjoy sharing my pain the most with some ome (her eyes look slightly insane) I'll *make* you feel it! All of my pain and suffering!
Cortez (think): She's lost it. I'm the only one that can stop it...! I got to do something. She'll destroy the stadium if we continue dueling. What can I do?
(Suddenly a vision came into his mind as there was seen a golden knight, n shining armor with a 39 sign on his shoulder. Suddenly he feels it and looks down to the shining card. His face showed allot of determination)
Cortez: It's my move!
(He drew a spell, pot of greed)
Cortez First I'm using "Pot of Greed!" Now I draw two cards. Further more, I summon Summoner Monk! in defense mode!
[Summoner Monk 800/1600/]
Cortez: And thanks to his special ability, I discard a spell card to summon another monster from my deck that's level four or lower! So meet Sacred Crane
[Sacred Crane /1600/]
Cortez: And because he's summoned from a card effect, I can draw one card!
(He draws Utopia Aura)

Leo: All right! I didn't know he can use those abilities like that to mill out so fast! That's not just a *special* ability, that's Yusei's totally-wicked-double-backflip-with-chocolate-sprinkles ability!! I know they're not tuner monsters, when Cortez pulls off that amazing Xyz summoning, I only know they have to be the same level! Let's see it!

(Cortez looks at the shining card card he's holding in his hand. It revealing an Xyz monster in golden and white armor, wielding a large blade)
Cortez (think): Number Thirty-Nine, Utopia. Okey, let's do this (aloud) Now I Overlay Summoner Monk and Sacred Crane!
(The sky darkens, and Cortez's two monsters form streaks of light in dark purple and gold, swirling into the sky. They zoom into a gathering swirl of stars, a galaxy shimmering in all colors.)
Cortez: This is my real monster-- Number Thirty-Nine, Utopia!!

(Cortez raises an arm triumphantly ass the number 39 glows in red. At the core of Utopia's armor stands a helical structure in gold, and a glowing core. Its overlay units orbit in sparks of gold. From it extend the blades of golden wings, and strong arms, and golden shoulder plates. Its armor unfolds and extends, ultimately forming a gigantic robotic warrior with white metal wings, double swords, and white and gold armor.)
Announcer: In all my years of broadcasting, I have *never* seen a monster like this! If you're watching from home, do *not* adjust your screen! It's as unbelievable as it Stardust Dragon!!
[Number 39: Utopia 2500/2000/R4/light]

Yanagi: What a monster of pure gold!
Leo: That's so awesome! I never seen a monster like that
Luna: Something about it seems like it wants to help the Black Rose.
(The crowd)
- She's got no chance, now!
- Look at it, that so amazing!
(Above the arena, Utopia and Black Rose Dragon are facing off, about to battle.)

(Jack's eyes are wide and looks surprised)
Jack: Incredible! .
Goodwin: Excellent! This is what the stars brought us!

Sayer: *unreal* A monster out of this world*? I gotta have him!


 (Black Rose Dragon roar at Utopia.)
Announcer: Get ready, people; these two monsters are about to do battle!


Akiza: What is that?!
Cortez: Huh? (looking at Utopia)
Akiza: Are you trying to go this far to reason with me!?
Cortez: This is the light of hope! If Stardust can't help you, then Utopia will!

(As Yusei is still unconscious)
Cortez (V.O): Up until know, Yusei try to use Stardust to reason.

(Backing to Cortez's view)
Cortez: And I will do if I have to. If I can win this and help you!
Akiza: *Help*?! Who says I *want* help! This mark I have just won't leave me, and no matter what I do, I'll always be hated by anyone I meet! Don't you get it!? I want to be alone....

(Flashback. The room is in purple flames; the grown man whom five-year-old Akiza was dueling is slammed against the wall hard enough to crack it, and hangs there, suspended, as a woman beside him stares at the young girl in horror.
Akiza (VO): My family...
(Change flashback. Teenage Akiza and her Violet Witch stand across the field from a huge explosion, surrounded by dark purple flames.)
Akiza (VO): My classmates...
(Change flashback. Duel Academy students cower, as the floor demolishes itself around a dark-haired girl in a red blazer who stands across the duel field from Akiza. The teenage psychic stands alone, shunned by her peers.)
Akiza (VO): Everyone I've ever known, I've hurt!
(End Flashback.)

Akiza: I thought you were no different than Yusei.
(She raises the heartless white mask, holding it in front of her face, as though to put it on.)
Akiza: But I was wrong--

(Flashback.)
Akiza (VO): You gave me a purpose.
(The Black Rose raises a hand, and blasts a duelist in the street with a rose.)
Akiza (VO): And so I dueled with it. I *won* with it. And I *lived* with it.
(The Black Rose's face was expressionless; her opponent never saw Akiza's vengeful glee. She stood alone in a storm of wind, cloaked.)
Akiza (VO): I thought I could move on because of you, but you are no better than I had doubted you be.

(Change Flashback. The Black Rose stands in an alley, hidden from a bright light beyond it. She looks up, startled, as a black-gloved hand removes the mask from her face.)
Akiza (VO): I met Sayer since the day he found me--
(Sayer stands across the alley from her, face-to-face. He holds the mask in one hand, smiling. The moment holds, as she looks up at him in silent surprise.)
Akiza (VO): He showed me what my life can be.
(End Flashback)



Akiza (dejected): What is it like to live in a world of sadness?
Cortez: I never remembered about my real past! I suddenly appeared and look where I am! I wanted to know where I came from!

(Flash Back when Cortez was being chased by Sector Security.)
Cortez (VO): When I tried to get help, all I did was get chased around by thugs and Sector Security!
(End Flashback)

Cortez: I wanted to hate you at first, but when I saw the scared little girl, I wanted to know how to help you!
Akiza: Then I'll make you hate me more.
Cortez (think): I didn't want it to come to *this*, Akiza, but you've left me no choice! (aloud) Utopia, attack with Rising Sun SLash!
(Cortez's heart pounded as he felt something was wrong.)
Cortez: Augh...
(Akiza's appears, to her fury.)
Akiza: Ugh...!!

(Luna's is glowing too, and she grabs her arm with her other hand, hiding it from view)
Yanagi: Huh? Hey, your arm!

(Up in the control tower, Jack's Sign appears also; he gasps with surprise. Goodwin turns his head slightly to look at Jack)

(Yusei's sign appeared in his arm)
Yusei: Ugh...!!

Cortez: *Don't give me a reason to hate you!!*
(Utopia draws its sword, and flings it; it turns into a burst of energy as it flies. Utopia catches its sword again, and swoops in to attack. The attack hits, big-time; Black Rose is destroyed. Akiza is left with 2600 lifepoints.)
Akiza: Hate me. It's the one thing I want the most!
(Over the last few words, she puts on the mask; it muffles her voice, making it sound slightly different.)

(Crowd)
- Come on, don't show any mercy!
- Make her pay for all she's done!

Sayer: Cortez... Akiza's *mine*. Yusei tried his best the first time. You can't save her from fate. I'll have you as well when she's done with you

(Akiza now stands on the field, wearing her Black Rose mask.)

(Jack and Goodwin watch silently)

Cortez: I'm done trying to help you!
Akiza: Then watch! I play the trap, Dark Tuning! For the low price of eight hundred lifepoints, I can summon any synchro monster from my graveyard! And I'm bringing back-- Black Rose Dragon!!
[Black Rose Dragon 2400///]
Akiza: But I'm not done yet, because now I can equip Wicked Reborn to my Dragon!
(Dark Tuning and Wicked Reborn are actually both effects of the same card, which is known in the TCG as "Wicked Rebirth" and usually has a different effect and is also known by a few other names as well.)
Akiza: She might not be able to attack *this* turn, but as long as she's equipped with this card, Black Rose Dragon can be re-summoned at the end of each and every round! So for those of you in the *back* of the class, that means if it's ever destroyed in battle, or by some special spell, it comes back as good as new at the end of my turn.
Cortez: Ugh!!...
Akiza: Oh, and last but not least, when Black Rose Dragon is special summoned, all the cards on your field are destroyed! So say goodbye to your worthless toy!
(Black Rose Dragon creates a mighty whirlwind; Akiza's arm twinges again.)
Akiza: Ugh!
(The whirlwind is spreading, beyond the duel and into the stadium...)

Tanner: Hold on tight!
Yanagi: Stay together!
(The kids moan with fear)
Luna (think): Cortez...

Cortez (think): I gotta stop this...! (aloud) I activate the trap, "Divine Wrath ! All I had to do is discard, then I can not only negate your monster's ability, but also destroy it!
(Cortez discards Tasuke Knight.)
: It's a dragon for a dragon!
(Black Rose Dragon felt her vines are surrounding her and she gets evaporate.)

Tanner: Look! He stopped her!
Leo: Now he's safe for now

Jack (mutters): You're doing better than expected! I wish Yusei didn't have to be so a merciful!

Akiza: You may of gotten rid of Black Rose Dragon, But I'll still win anyway! I play my own "Shrink!" Now your monster loses half of it's attack points! (Utopia has 1250) Now attack Utopia!
(It wraps orange-glowing vines around Utopia, burning it, but Utopia breaks free from it, while has 1250, but he didn't flinch)
Akiza (surprised): Why isn't it destroyed?!
Cortez: My monster is very special! It can't be destroyed in battle! Only way you can is by having either negating it's ability or with a Number! I doubt you have any!
Akiza: I may not have a *Number* but it *doesn't* end there, because once Amaryllis attacks, it self-destructs, causing another eight hundred points of damage-- this should hurt a little.
(Cortez weathers the blow)
Akiza: Toldja.
(Cortez lp 550)
(In the whipping wind, the bottom third of Akiza's mask cracks away, revealing that same sinister smile from earlier.)
Akiza: I'll end.
Cortez: This round's not even close to being over, Akiza!
Akiza: Well then I guess our both our monsters will have to battle it out again! This is the beginning of your end!
(Huge column of violet-white light behind her, swarming with black petals.)


Akiza: I re-summon Black Rose Dragon!! And with it on the field, I now activate my trap-- "Overdoom Line". So now the monster I just summoned from my graveyard gains one thousand attack points! And to keep my Dragon company, I'm activating Amaryllis's special ability, which also allows me to summon it from my graveyard! I'll lay a card face down! It's *your* turn, Yusei!
Cortez: I draw, then. I activate my "Non Aggressive Area" So I discard a card so for your next turn you can't summon any monster!
Akiza: Assuming If there is a next that is!
Cortez: Now Utopia! Attack Phoenixian Cluster Amaryllis!
(Utopia swings his sword and grabs it again and slashes Amaryllis)

Tanner: Awesome! Cortez never would've survived another round with Akiza's Amaryllis still in attack mode! Now let's see if he can turn this duel around!


Sayer: Hmph! You just keep going all you want. You still won't win this.

Akiza: I play the trap card "Synchro Back"! Now by removing one synchro monster from my field, I can *re*-summon it next turn. And who better, than my Black Rose Dragon, Cortez?
(It disappears)

Yanagi: What did she do?
Tanner: Don'tcha get it, gramps? When she special-summons her dragon next round, its special ability activates, destroying all of Cortez's cards!
Twins: Wah!

Cortez: I'll end by throwing down a facedown.
Akiza: It *won't* help you! (draws) 'Cause thanks to my Synchro Back's effect, Black Rose Dragon comes back to the field!
(Huge column of violet-white light behind her, swarming with black petals. As soon as it appears, Akiza groans as her mark throbs again.)
Cortez: It's your Sign!
Akiza: I wish it was gone!
Cortez: But it's a part of you! It's part of all of you!
(As he speaks, she thinks angrily of the claw-shaped mark that burns through her sleeve. Behind the mask, her eyes are hateful.)
Cortez: Having this mark doesn't make you a witch, Akiza, it makes you special! I know other people don't see that, and I understand it hurts; but when you get angry at them, you're only hating yourself!
Cortez: The pain you feel from that mark is shared by me as well. I may not have a mark, but I can feel it as well. It's trying to bring us together, to strengthen us! I don't understand it yet, but this pain is somehow uniting us! We have to figure out what it wants, Akiza; but first you must realize that you're not alone!
(Akiza looks down at her arm...)

(Yusei's mark glowing in the hospital)
Cortez (VO): That we're connected--

(Luna is also looking down at her arm, her face troubled with the pain.)
Cortez (VO): We're *all* connected! We're all going to have to make a choice.

(Jack, also gripping his arm, is gritting his teeth.)
Cortez (VO): We're going to have to band together in order for this to all make sense!

Cortez: If I can show you, I know you won't feel more hate anymore than you do.
Akiza: I had enough! I am through listening to all this!
(The roller goes flying; Akiza's hair wildly comes loose in several long bangs that are usually curled around the roller.)
Akiza: This discussion is over!! I activate Black Rose Dragon's special ability!

(Black Rose Dragon spreads its wings and the wind begins to blow in the stadium again. Everyone in the audience cowers. A piece of the translucent side of the dueling track shatters and breaks.)

Akiza: All of your cards are destroyed, along with this stadium!!
Cortez: I won't let you do this!! I the trap "Utopia Aura" I takes my monster's overlay unit so he won't be destroyed!
(Utopia absorbs it's orbiting unit to it's chest core. A glowing aura surrounding him shields him from the force of Black Rose Dragon's power.)
Cortez: Stop fighting, Akiza! It's over! Over, Akiza!
(Black Rose Dragon shines and disappears within The winds. Soon the winds calm.)
Akiza: She's... gone! Black Rose Dragon's gone!
(Akiza's voice has a hysterical edge to it, and she sounds like she's almost crying.)
Akiza: Because of "Non Aggressive Area's" effect, I can't summon a monster. If you attack with Utopia, you'll win. Will you do it?
(Cortez draws his card)
Cortez: I can and will.
(Cortez closes his eyes as they form tears. He looks stern but he's crying from the harsh duel. He then opens his eyes again with determination again.)
Cortez: Number Thirty-Nine: Utopia, attack and end this duel for good!
(Utopia swings his blade and tosses at Akiza directly. Before Akiza knows what hit her, the shining blade hits her mask right between the eyes; it cracks in two. She bows her head, concealed by her long bangs, and the pieces fall from her face. Her lifepoints sink to zero. She begins to look at Cortez. Akiza's eyes are filling with tears, joining Cortez to cry with him)
Akiza: So now you see it. The Black Rose crying alongside her prey

(Cortez had no words to form with the tears falling down the ground.)

Sayer (frosty): -- Now that the duel is over, we *should* be* leaving now.  I think you've caused enough damage for one day, Mister Blackful. Akiza's coming home with *me*.
(Sayer puts his brown trenchcoat around Akiza's shoulders as she kneels on the field; now we can see he wears beneath it dark blue pants, a dark green vest, and a black shirt. She looks up at him, bemused.)
Sayer (kindly): It's okay. You *tried*. Next time, you'll do better. (think darkly) And this time, I will have you! Just you wait!

(The crowd)
- All right, she lost!
- Don't forget your mask!

Announcer: The winner of the duel is Cortez Blackful!
(Yusei stands alone on the field, quietly sad. He didn't know if he won the duel or caused more pain than what Akiza did with him. As Sayer leads her out of the arena, she glances back; Akiza's mask has truly come off, revealing the human underneath. Cortez watches her go.)
Akiza (silent): Thank you, Cortez. Yusei would be proud of you. I hope we see each other again.

(In the hospital, Yusei smiled as if he had a feeling that Cortez did it)
Yusei (faint): Cortez......you did it.
