My mom likes books about animals but I like books about people. So we have to practice compromising.

I personally like the Harry Potter series.

We really liked Curious George, because it had people and animals!

That sounds perfect then! Have you read any books including elephants?
You :
I know they are your favorite because of your stuffed animal.
Toby :
I don't remember. I probably have but I can't always remember things.

I love my elephant though!

That's okay, I can't say I know any books about elephants anyway!

Why is the elephant your favorite?

And does it have a name?
Toby :
Dad always said that elephants don't forget. Also it's really soft.
Toby :
It doesn't have a name, no.

Do you read with your mom?
You :
He was right about the elephants! And I did when I was young, like you. Not so much any more though.

You :
I go to school a bit far away from home, so I don't have the chance. I like to talk to her when I'm home though.
You :
Is there anything you wish you could say to your mom if you could see her?
Toby :
I like you. You are friendly.

I think I would just say hi. I haven't been able to say hi to her in a while.
You :
I like you too! I wish we could have a tea party in here, but I don't have the same abilities as Emily.
You :
We will all help you get back to your mom to say hi.
