- ~Promise Me My Death~
- *Mary & Andy*
- Oh no, this was bad, like very bad. Why did it have to be now of all times? Mary cursed her lack of time awareness.
- "So... this is your true form?"
- Mary couldn't directly look at Andy in the eyes. She has been caught.
- The sun's light was barely there, signaling that night will come soon. The very time her transformation starts.
- "It's only a temporary one... My truest form is only during the full moon," she meekly clarified.
- There was no response from the other person.
- She tensed, fearing the worse possible scenario for that moment. Her eyes were firmly shut tight. Her form had pretty much mimicked a ball, trying to hide the slightly twitching ears on her head with her hat.
- "Was that why you always insisted on wearing hats whenever we go out at night?"
- Mary couldn't figure out what emotion was in that question. She nodded.
- Andy kneeled near her form and gently said, "Mary, look at me."
- She shooked her head in response though it wasn't that noticeable due to her position.
- "Mary"
- No response.
- He sighed.
- "I don't hate you just because you're part werewolf, alright? I know that you're a good person and would never think about hurting anyone, so please look at me properly."
- There was a bit of hesitation in her part, but she caved in and obliged, finally looking up and directly to his eyes.
- "Why? Why are you this calm..?"
- Mary was clearly confused about the turn of events.
- "If I have to be honest, I had a hunch already about your little secret," Andy confessed.
- "B-But what if I end up hurting someone? Wh-What if I went berserk like the others..?"
- Various scenarios flashed in her head. One was so gruesome that she wondered how she was even able to conjure them up in her head.
- "I will gladly kill you if you give me permission to."
- She looked at him in shock. However, when she looked at him dead in the eyes, they were unwavering. He was serious. She could feel it.
- "Promise me that you'll end me before I hurt someone when I go berserk. I...I don't want to be alive knowing that I did such a horrible act."
- She was scared. Scared of death, scared of going berserk, and above all else, she was scared that she'd end up killing someone she held dear.
- "I vow to honor my promise to you, Mary."
