- I'm posting a short, shitty greentext I wrote up, whether you guys like it or not.
- >Be a sunny Saturday afternoon.
- >You’ve been at work in the kitchen all day.
- >Not that you’re complaining, of course.
- >Your wife Applejack has been planning a little dinner party for a couple of weeks now, and you have been mostly responsible for planning and preparing the actual dinner.
- >Applejack has been outside doing some work around the farm since morning, while you’ve been working on a multitude of different dishes.
- >Apple pie, apple fritters, apple cake, apple salad, baked apples…
- >A lot of apple stuff.
- >After all, it’s the middle of Fall and your wife loves to show off the (literal) fruits of her painstaking labor.
- >Not to mention her obedient and doting husband.
- >You allow yourself to feel a bit of pride at the thought.
- >The sound of the front door brings you out of your daydreaming.
- >Applejack walks into the kitchen, wet with sweat and smelling of apple fields.
- >“How’s dinner coming along, Anon?”
- “Hi honey! Everything is just peachy – er, but with apples.”
- >Okay, that was dumb.
- >Nonetheless, she gives you a big smile as she walks over.
- >“You silly guy. Just make sure to keep your fruits and vegetables straight.”
- >She puts an arm around you and squeezes.
- >Her scent – a mixture of grass and earth and apples and hard work – is intoxicating.
- >She pulls away and surveys the kitchen.
- >“Well it’s all lookin mighty fine, Anon. You sure know how to make a mare proud.”
- >You are pretty sure you’re blushing.
- >“Anyhow, I need to shower before ponies start to show up. And you’ve got a dinner to finish. Not to mention a change of clothes to find.”
- >You’re wearing your usual ‘around the house’ outfit, a t-shirt and jeans.
- “A change of clothes? What’s wrong with these clothes?”
- >You try to put on your best saucy look for her.
- >She puts on her stern face in return.
- >“Ha, ha. You’re very funny, Anon. I expect to see a lot less skin when I get out of the shower.”
- >Her expression softens.
- >“If you really want to show some skin, we can talk about that after the guests leave.”
- >She pats your butt before heading off in the direction of the shower.
- >You organize the last few things, putting some dishes in the oven and adding some finishing touches to others.
- >Then you head to the bedroom to change.
- >Now wearing some slightly nicer pants and a shirt with a collar, you make your way back to the task at hand.
- >Everything is coming together nicely as you move between the kitchen and the dining room, attending to little details as you prepare.
- >You can hear Applejack getting out of the shower and looking through her clothes.
- >Shortly thereafter, she returns to the kitchen in a simple but classy outfit, complete with her formal hat.
- >“Oh my, Anon, you look lovely.”
- >You blush again.
- “Oh, you really think so? Thank you! You look really good, too.”
- >“Is that right?”
- >She raises her eyebrows in a vaguely seductive manner.
- >She looks like she might be ready to pounce on you then and there.
- >“It’s too bad we don’t have a little more time before ponies start showin up.”
- >You can’t help but giggle a bit.
- >“Well, I’ll be lookin forward to tonight.”
- >She brushes a hoof across your cheek and walks over to the liquor cabinet.
- >She gingerly removes a bottle of single malt whiskey and a wooden cigar box, both of which pique your interest.
- >You don’t get much chance to enjoy such things now that you live in Equestria.
- >“Are you eyein my supplies again, Anon? I thought I told you, these are for the mares.”
- “Oh, yes, of course dear. I know that. I just do happen to like a good whiskey and cigar now and then.”
- >You never really were a big smoker, but a fine cigar every so often? Certainly.
- >“Well you certainly aren’t having any in front of our guests.”
- “Oh no, I wouldn’t think of it. But… maaaaaybe afterwards?”
- >You are trying your best to be endearing.
- >“I’ll think about it.”
- >Okay, that’s not too bad. At least you’ve got a chance at nabbing some whiskey.
- >To be fair, Applejack is pretty permissive about things like that.
- >Stuff like liquor and cigars are generally reserved for mares, and it’s considered by many to be un-stallion-like to partake in them.
- >Applejack does grant you access to her liquor cabinet every now and then, nonetheless.
- >But you’ve got other things to worry about right now.
- >While Applejack takes her “supplies” into the den, you see to the final preparations in the dining room.
- >It’s not long before there’s a knock at the door.
- >Applejack goes to answer it and see the guests in.
- >You follow and stand quietly behind her.
- >It’s another farmer and her husband, a couple of good family friends.
- >Once Applejack is finished, you greet them in turn, and you all make your way to the dining room.
- >Your wife sits at the head of the table while you pour four glasses of cider.
- >Bringing them to the table, you sit in the chair at Applejack’s side and start making small talk with the stallion while the mares manage to launch right into a discussion of various farming practices.
- >It’s not long before the other guests arrive and are seated at the table in similar fashion.
- >There are three couples in total, plus you and your wife.
- >You set up all the dishes in the middle of the table, and it’s a veritable feast indeed.
- >“Well now, I think this looks amazing. We all have my husband here to thank for this meal.”
- >You seem to blush a lot.
- >“And we can thank Celestia for the excellent harvest this year.”
- >Heads nod in agreement, and in short order you are all enjoying dinner.
- >The meal goes very nicely, and it seems that it is over in no time at all.
- >You start to clear the dishes away, bringing them into the kitchen while the conversation winds down a bit.
- >You also bring out a bottle of sweet cider as an after-dinner drink.
- >Applejack kind of has a thing for making cider.
- >You set in on the table as your wife stands up.
- >“I’ve got a thing or two in the den that I think you mares are going to appreciate.”
- >Her look of pride is matched only by the eagerness in the other mares’ eyes.
- >Applejack has a reputation for treating her guests very well.
- >She gives you a kiss on the cheek before leading them out of the dining room, leaving you to serve up the cider for the stallions at the table.
- >Being a human among ponies has had its difficulties, but the stallions around you now have been incredibly accommodating, and you count them among your very best friends.
- >Now you can relax, enjoy some excellent cider, and chat casually.
- >It’s nice.
- >Indeed, it seems like only minutes pass before you notice the hours that have faded.
- >Soon the mares return to the dining room and their husbands rise to join them.
- >Goodbyes are exchanged, promises of more evenings together are made, and the couples depart into the crisp autumn night.
- >You head into the kitchen and start doing the dishes, but you don’t get very far before Applejack rests a hoof on your shoulder and pulls you away from the sink.
- >“That can wait, sugar cube. I think I remember something about your wanting to show some skin.”
- >You lower your eyelids just a bit and gaze at her.
- “But darling, I really must attend to this right now.”
- >You try to sound sultry.
- >She looks ravenous.
- >“You’re cute darling, you really are.”
- >She turns you in the direction of the bedroom.
- >“But I want you waiting for me in my room. Now march.”
- >She sends you on your way with a firm slap on the rear.
- >You hazard a single glance back and see her eyeing you like a predator before you enter the bedroom to wait for your wife.
- THE END
