Gen 1 to 8 race - FAQ

What games are you goin to race?
================================
We will be racing the first iteration of each generation:
- Gen 1: Pokémon Red
- Gen 2: Pokémon Gold
- Gen 3: Pokémon Sapphire
- Gen 4: Pokémon Diamond
- Gen 5: Pokémon Black
- Gen 6: Pokémon X
- Gen 7: Pokémon Moon
- Gen 8: Pokémon Sword

When is this race happening?
============================
We are aiming to organise one race per weekend starting on 29 February (two games the first weekend though), where we will race Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Red.

The intended schedule is as follows:
29 February: Sword + Red
7 March: Moon
14 or 15 March: Gold
21 March: X
19 April: Sapphire
2 May: Diamond
Some day in may: Black/White

We may delay races if we aren't feeling ready enough or stuff gets in our way in terms of availability, though.

Do you guys even have experience running all these games?

No, we do not, and that is what is going to make this race exciting.
Araya has never ran Pokémon Black, Pokémon X, nor Pokémon Moon (he also never ran the glitchless category of Diamond).
wartab has never ran Pokémon Sapphire, Pokémon Diamond, nor Pokémon Black (also only has very little or very old experience of Red and Gold).
