- ArtiWhen you think of fish, you may already be thinking of New Year's resolutions. After all, fish play a large role in nearly every diet, and the majority of New Year's resolutions have something to do with weight loss or getting in shape. As a result, you may already be planning a strategy based around salmon, but are you getting it in the most effective form possible? Probably not.
- In fact, while the American Heart Association does recommend eating salmon twice a week for heart health and many popular diets have you eating it as often as four times a week to keep calories low and taste high, studies show that to get enough salmon oil for your omega 3 dietary needs, you would need to consume nearly two pounds of the fish each day. Now that's a lot of salmon! Not only would it get expensive, but you would probably start to develop scales after a week of two of that regimen.
