- p. 128 part 6 - Answer the questions with your partner.
- part 5 - Which word doesn’t belong? Why?
- 1 plane - the others are places where you can sleep / home - the others are about travel
- 2 heal - the others are part of medical diagnosis (when the doctor tries to find out what the problem is)
- 3 mirror - the others are part of nature (which you can eat)
- 4 pain - the others are people
- ---
- other p. 119 vocabulary review:
- “pain” is usually a noun, “hurt” is usually a verb
- “painful” is usually physical, “hurtful” is emotional
- “injured” means your body was damaged somehow, “wounded” is usually from some kind of violence
- An injury heals. A doctor cures an illness or other condition (and then the condition is fixed).
- You treat an injury or condition when you do something to take care of it (but maybe not fix it completely).
- “date” is romantic, “appointment” is professional
- “control” means you can change it as you want, “monitor” means observe (often with equipment or machines, but not always)

- -> If I were an astronaut, I would go to space. (unreal situation - switch affirmative and negative)
- I can’t be the Queen of Mars because I hate space travel.
- -> I could be the Queen of Mars if I didn’t hate space travel. / if I liked space travel.
- = If I didn’t hate space travel, I could be the Queen of Mars.
