T-1000 Upgrade

“Welcome to the Scramble! I hope you’re all getting acquainted. I’m Mr. Celo Phane, your host. You are all in team number 27, but we encourage you to come up with a more memorable name. Remember, you’re all in this together now. Oh, and before I forget--T-1000, you’re due for a software upgrade. We decided it was only fair.” The terminator took two menacing steps up to Phane, who smirked in bemusement.

“You will give this to me now.”

“Already did. It’s in your locker.”

The T-1000 whirled around and tore open the locker with his name on it. A flash of light burst directly into his eyes, and he collapsed into a silvery puddle. Larxene took a step back to avoid getting any of him on her boots. Bonesaw took the opportunity to look into her own locker, and found a nice, heavy new apron and large bag of medical tools. Some of them were fairly advanced. Well that was nice, at least. She turned back to Phane, and noticed that the Terminator seemed to be pulling himself back into a human shape.

“The fourth member of your team is causing us some… logistical problems. He’ll be with you in a moment, though. In the meantime...” Phane threw a binder toward Bonesaw. She caught it. “Your enemies. Read quickly, the match is in ten minutes.”

Phane walked out. Bonesaw opened the binder, and pouted. “Hmph. This isn’t going to be that fun at all.”

“Aww, why’s that?”

“Well, I guess I can hit these guys with a plague or something, but I’m a surgeon. If my only teammates are a robot and some kind of ghost, my talents are wasted.”

“I’m a Nobody, thank you very much. And aren’t you a little young to--”An explosion rocked the room. The T-1000 examined the smoking ruins of his side of the locker room, and morphed his new plasma cannon back into a hand.

“Acceptable.”
