The Mounts of Palamecia

Coeurl: Big Lightning Cheetah, knows some magic innately, land speed of 90. The wilder they are, the more likely they are to bond with their rider.
War Lions: Giant Lions from the Sea of Grass, the size of most horses. As fast as your average war horse but far tougher and far stronger. Their hides are distinctly thick and green.
Pegasi: Commonly Found in Arecia, a pegasus is one of the fastest and most reliable forms of air transportation in Palamecia with almost no combat capability. Notoriously expensive to buy but easy to maintain.
Wyverns: With much weaker breath weapons and scales than their immortal stone ancestors they still are among the fiercest and deadliest mounts on the continent. A nightmare to maintain as they prefer to be self sufficient, needing to hunt their own food, and groom themselves. Their riders often undertake these tasks to keep the wyvern from wandering.
Roc: Essentially giant eagles bred in Bhujerba, Rocs are often favored as pack animals for delivering high value merchandise safely over great distances quickly.
Gryphons: Crosses between Lions and Eagles, a gryphon is capable of combat and speedy flight although excels at neither. Fairly expensive to maintain as they aren't allowed in most stables.
Sacaean Stallions: The Horses of the nomadic tribes of the sea of grass. Faster than even the Couerl and trained for mounted combat, these magnificent stallions are not the sturdiest or strongest mount, but in the hands of a skilled rider, they are unmatched.
