She shrugged it off, thinking it was just them being over sensitive, but when she was taken off the kayaking team (for a competition) and replaced by him, whose skills weren’t as good as her, that was when she became aware. Then she found out more about him lying to her, that he was actually using her to escape from arranged marriages, but when she lost financial support, he didn’t want the poor college student she was anymore. He left her in the end, leaving her empty, poor, unloved and all that, when she risked everything for him, and it made her heartbroken. Although her parents let her come home after that, and tried yheir best to cure her heartbreak, it didn’t work at all, and left a huge scar in her heart.
