Triathon Task 3

You've made this far, and you're ready to tackle the third and final task of the triathlon. You have no idea what to expect as you stand on the lawn of the Hogwarts grounds bright and early this morning. Moments later, Heather arrives and greets you. She explains that you will dive into the depths of the Great Lake to assist the Giant Squid and entertain the Merpeople. You shiver just thinking about entering that freezing cold lake. A whistle sounds, and you don't hesitate to enter the water. You immediately begin shivering, but to your surprise, it doesn't take you long to adjust.<br><br>

The Giant Squid is waiting for you, and he clearly wants something. Can you figure out what it is? To solve this puzzle, complete the Word Hunt then take the first letter of each word you found (H for Horace, for example). Unscramble those letters to spell out one word. Once you know what he wants, <a href="/neomessages.phtml?type=send&recipient=slugclubguild&subject=Giant+Squid">mail the guild account</a> with the word and a picture of your completed Word Hunt. (You can choose to do one or the other, but you will miss out on Hogsmeade Points for not doing both.)

The Merpeople are impatiently waiting for you. Without bothering to greet you, they hand you a sheet of magically waterproof paper and instruct you to entertain them. Best not keep them waiting! To appease the Merpeople, come up with 3 adjectives (tall, skinny, etc.), 1 verb, 1 adverb (slowly, easily), 1 color, 1 number, and 1 emotion. Once you have those written down, use them to fill out the Mad Lab. Send your completed Mad Lib to <a href="/neomessages.phtml?type=send&recipient=slugclubguild&subject=Merpeople+Game">the guild account</a> to receive Hogsmeade Points.

Upon diving into the Great Lake, I met a colony of Merpeople. They were (adjective) and struck me as very (adjective). I couldn't help but (verb) when I first laid eyes on them.
