  1. Amidst all this talk, Nathan eventually turns his gaze to Yasuyoshi, if only to speak out.
  2.
  3. "Heroes Club is, well, Heroes Club. They do heroic things and all that, located in Levengard." Though there's a pause, and the child narrows his eyes at him.
  4.
  5. "Weren't you going to teach me fire even better..."
  6.
  7. "I already learned it to a degree that you spoke of."
  8. (Nathan Cruor)
  9.
  10. "Perfect, you were able to control and manipulate the flames to take shape." Even though it was something he himself couldn't do with ease. "The second step is much easier in regards to utilizing the flames." And much more destructive too.
  11.
  12. Just like the flames that he sees everywhere he walks, he simply lets the flames start to wrap around his person before going against the square of Gehenna. The flames itself only growing as if it touched gasoline and expanded far and wide. Not only was it dangerous, capable of leaving third degree burns, but it was also able to burn anything that had wood. Or it would've.
  13.
  14. If he wasn't capable of manipulating the chaos to go as far as it could. Even with non-magi citizens around, they didn't get hurt. From a close perspective, one could tell that Yasuyoshi was controlling those flames to keep it fromharming them. It was only that way that he was able to shift it. Releasing it to be free and taming it like a lion in a circus.
  15.
  16. "The next lesson, control the chaos." Manipulation of fire like a chaos magic manipulates and bends the lifestream to its will. "Make that chaos -yours- and don't let that chaos -you-." Bend it, break it, and rebuild it.
  17.
  18. Afterwards, the flames diminished entirely as he turns back to his idle place. "When you do that, come back to me. Practice it in your spars. Fire is not only dangerous as a thing, but also dangerous to mess with." And it will burn everything if they don't utilize it well. "Got it?"
  19. (Yasuyoshi)
  20.
  21. To control the chaos that occurs as result of the flames?
  22.
  23. It didn't sound that difficult to him, but perhaps he could be wrong on that one; where Yasuyoshi shows the display of fire prowess, Nathan doesn't look as if he's baffled by it- instead, it looks like a fairly simple thing to him. Perhaps, he's gotten further than the kitsune initially suspected.
  24.
  25. After all, affinity to fire like this coursed in his blood, being a son of drakanite… and a peculiar angel.
  26.
  27. "That's it?"
  28.
  29. He almost looks disappointed to a degree. Either he got too far, or it was much easier than he initially suspected- still, the sparks appear all around Nathan in controlled manner, circling him, forming into various shapes in tandem with the cosmic glow. Perhaps, it almost looks like he's trying to make something out of it, and...
  30.
  31. Suddenly, it's released outward.
  32.
  33. It becomes the chaos, he spoke of, like a raging lion seeking to sink its teeth into its prey; perhaps, it would even dangerously set something ablaze, or hurt some innocent non-magi. Except, before that happens, the fire is suddenly restrained in quite creative way- a blast of fire's heat was done form the other side, promptly stopping the heat wave that was shot outward.
  34.
  35. A collision of sort, where two heat waves collide and fires dance against one another, if only to dissipate upward.
  36.
  37. "Is this what you were talking about?"
  38.
  39. "Because if so, I was looking for something more. Something to get me out there." Impatient to a degree. Befitting to fire mage, really...
  40.
  41. "I don't think basics do it for me anymore."
  42.
  43. Boastful or honest? In either case, it seems that the child was naturally talented. While mastering fires like this wasn't particularly difficult, it's not something where he would stop. After all, there would also be work on combining it with the stardust...
  44.
  45. "What else can you show me?"
  46. (Nathan Cruor)
  47.
  48. Yasuyoshi says, "I don't know, Nathan, you're young. But there is something you -could- practice."
  49.
  50. Nathan Cruor says, "Yasuyoshi, if you're about to hit me with 'it's too dangerous'..."
  51.
  52. Nathan Cruor says, "And, uh-"
  53.
  54. Nathan Cruor asks, "By heating up their body or something?"
  55.
  56. Yasuyoshi says, "That's the easy part. You can burn the entire body with ease. But I'm saying a single organ."
  57.
  58. Nathan Cruor says, "The issue doesn't seem to be control for me. It's just-"
  59.
  60. Nathan Cruor says, "I don't know. Raw power? It just won't... burst."
  61.
  62.
  63. Yasuyoshi asks, "You're having an issue with raw power?"
  64.
  65. Nathan Cruor says, "It burns. It melts things. I want it to roar out instead and literally explode."
  66.
  67. Nathan Cruor says, "Uh. Mom... suggested that I learn under aunt for that, because she mastered fire like that, but-"
  68.
  69. Nathan Cruor says, "Aunt is nowhere to be found, and she's... full of issues."
  70.
  71. Yasuyoshi says, "..."
  72.
  73. Nathan Cruor says, "So I'm taking my studies elsewhere."
  74.
  75. Nathan Cruor says, "--Actually, even mom agreed that studying under aunt wouldn't be a good idea."
  76.
  77. Yasuyoshi says, "I would think, when it comes to raw exploding power, you would need for that fire to combust internally."
  78.
  79.
  80. For one reason or another, it seemed as if something came upon Nathan's mind out of sudden- either a spark of genius or idea that he received spontaneously, and it would be something that actually makes it through for him. Perhaps, the hint that Yasuyoshi just gave to him was a catalyst, but... it's not a bad thing, right?
  81.
  82. "Oh..."
  83.
  84. "OH!"
  85.
  86. Immediately, Nathan stretches his hands out, the flames being conjured somewhere along the pavement. For better or worse, it seems to grow stronger, radiating intense heat in a single concentrated zone... and yet, there's something else- something that perhaps Yasuyoshi could predict due to his experience with fire magic.
  87.
  88. A forming spark within.
  89.
  90. The glow of stardust, mixed with the intense core of the fire, one that seemingly grows to burn red rather than yellow- these fires unnaturally beginning to resemble something akin to miniature sun. And as captivating as it looks...
  91.
  92. "No, no- wait! I think I can add, hmm..."
  93.
  94. "I think I can compress hot air inside, all in small area!
  95.
  96. With such intense fire, with so little area, and a single concentration of energy.. it seems to radiate a lot more, threatening to become an actual disaster. And do you know what happens when too much energy like that is concentrated in such a tiny place?
  97.
  98. Explosions happen.
  99.
  100. "Watch this!"
  101.
  102. Gods, someone stop him.
  103. (Nathan Cruor)
  104.
  105. God watches over fools and children. Sadly, he isn't god, so he didn't have to watch over anyone or anything at all. Right now, he could literally sit here and watch as it grows constantly as the flames and radiation of the cosmos came into it. But it wasn't in good nature, and it seems to be relatively.
  106.
  107. But doing that would probably end up badly. Very badly to the point that they would actually hurt Nathan, Yoshi, and everyone else involved. He gave him an inch, he took it a whole mile. So this time, he is going to give him a mile, and watch him take it further.
  108.
  109. Yoshi took a simple step forward, hands going around the shoulders of Nathan before finally letting his hands go against his wrist. Helping him aim it to something that was much more than just himself or anyone in the square at the moment. With a little bit of force, and a little bit of his own magic, he would be able to aim it to the sky.
  110.
  111. "Now, what you need to do is simply throw it and release it. Consider it something like fire works. When they reach a certain point, let it explode in destructive, beautiful colors. Wtach it all just go..."
  112.
  113. Bang.
  114. (Yasuyoshi)
  115.
  116. There's just no telling what sort of disaster he would get himself into if he were to continue doing this alone. Perhaps, if there was no control and no overseeing for his efforts, it could easily end up in him being hurt or worse- but maybe it was more or less meant to be that way. After all, Nathan was pretty impatient in his nature.
  117.
  118. Sure, he could sit around sometimes, but he always looked for something to do.
  119.
  120. Combine that with young curiosity and strive to get things like that done, and you have a recipe for disaster. Truth be told, if Yasuyoshi were trying to simply make it disappear, the young Cruor would definitely push against that, seeking to still make it explode no matter what. He just had to see what happens, no matter the cost...
  121.
  122. But it was aimed at the sky, so it should be fine, right?
  123.
  124. "Like fireworks? Okay, I can do that!"
  125.
  126. The fiery sphere of condensedhot air and opposing fires that struggled against one another were brought up, higher and higher; the cosmic energies circulated it, feeding into the flames. While it was nowhere as potent as the technique he had in his mind, with the flames receiving nigh permanent supply of endless mana... for now, it would be something good on its own.
  127.
  128. It all starts with mastery of fire.
  129.
  130. Compression of this energy in such small spot hits a critical spot. It seems to rage and thrash, even as its held through magic this way; the red core burns bright, brighter, until it almost feels blinding, and...
  131.
  132. BOOM.
  133.
  134. The heatwave is released, and it feels like a bomb just went off, somewhere in the skies. Nearby area is showered with what feels like a sudden surge of heat, and the night sky lights up in colors, albeit briefly. If only then, Nathan watches in a wonder.
  135.
  136. "Woah..."
  137. (Nathan Cruor)
  138.
  139. He went the whole ten miles, no, a hundred. What a strange kid.
  140.
  141. That was something that only made him smile once everything went Boom, the way that he was able to manipulate the flames and cosmic utilization was amazing. Something that he thought was never possible, was possible in the form of a child and his crazy imagination. That imagination, however, was enough to produce something that gave new life.
  142.
  143. "Strong, it's capable of doing things that are unironically the strongest thing and the best way to use fire. Yes, you can use fire to burn. Yes, you can use fire to melt. However, to utilize it to explode?"
  144.
  145. That was something that was amazing. That was something that was rather unique in its own. Even though it was something that he would one day to aspire to do, it wasn't his skill that needed improving. No, it was his. Nathan had potential that even Yoshi couldn't do.
  146.
  147. Potential that he can manipulate, corrupt, and break and build to do whatever he wanted. The ways that he could do so, to capture the idea of what they wanted. To disrupt whatever goals and shape it into his. That was something that was beautiful, creative even. But all things come later.
  148.
  149. But later will come soon.
  150.
  151. "I want you to master this, and I want to see results within the next year. I want you to be able to do this without my help. I also want you to be able to use this without the help of the stars, either." It was truly the only way to master this unique form of fire without having a substitute. "If you can do that? You may be stronger than me."
  152.
  153. Even though that may be impossible.
  154.
  155. "Go forth. Improve."
  156. (Yasuyoshi)
  157.
  158. In many ways than once, Nathan was aspiring crazy genius. The things he thought he would create and make... these wouldn't fit in the head of ordinary person, and there are so many things he can show before he would run out of those. Of course, such a thing isn't necessary spoken about, nor its shown - after all, people who become this way typically pose a degree of threat, and he wasn't looking to attract wrong kind of attention to himself.
  159.
  160. Not yet at least.
  161.
  162. Instead, he smiles at the sight of what he made. It was both amusing and amazing in many ways, and he couldn't wait to see just how far he'll go when the time comes. Perhaps, the technique he seeks to develop would be something entirely new, something unseen before... and the thought alone excites him more.
  163.
  164. "I didn't exactly suspect I could, actually... it just came up in my mind suddenly as idea."
  165.
  166. The mere ambition and potential could carry him far, but that's not enough. Not for someone like him- and so, when Yasuyoshi affirms him with so called 'homework' of seeing his progress within a year, the young Cruor only eagerly nods along to that. So long as he had the chance to keep improving more and more?
  167.
  168. He would. Always.
  169.
  170. There's no time to be wasted. There's a dream to be something more out there, something unbound with the chains that usually contain the normality and define the masses. Something to ensure that he could soar amidst the sky, and not because of his heritage alone.
  171.
  172. "Thanks, and I will!"
  173.
  174. The dream was already born. But now? He's walking to it.
  175. (Nathan Cruor)
