It's been a while, how you been? I've been thinking a lot about you lately, and I don't say that to just anyone. Okay, truth be told, this same exact email is going out to tens of thousands of people, and you're one of them. I just can't lie to you, you mean too much to me.

Remember that time you said something and I responded with something clever off the cuff? Ha, me too. Damn, we had fun. Anyway, I just wanted to fill you in on what's happened in the last year.

I know you care, here's the cliff notes:
•We rebranded from Hummingbird to Kitsu. The latter embraces our inner weeb better.
•Viz Media and Bernard Chong invested in the business, now we get paid to stare at our computers in our underwear all day. My Father isn't proud.
•We rewrote the entire site from the ground up. It's pretty freaking sweet now.
•We acquired one of our competitors, Aozora, the two communities are now one. Everyone is great, you'll like them.
•I had a daughter! My Father is proud.
•We launched our iOS and Android app!
