I'll need to search for a constituent in your district to get your support. apparently.   I'm going to try but I don't understand why lawmakers can't just do the right thing based on an issue's merit.  Statue 144.2252 is an obvious violation of widely agreed upon human right.
I'm attaching a screenshot of Rep Huot's response to my poll back during election season in which he claims that he "supports my cause."  Please let me know if that statement is somehow not true today, otherwise, I'm going to search for a constituent in your distrct (not necessarily an adopted person).  Now I'm going to search for a constituent.

I think Representatives would be more willing to take on this issue if it is advocated for by a constituent. Do you live in a Minnesota district? If not, I would recommend connecting with a Minnesota constituent who cares about this issue, and having them bring it to their Representative.

Please consider this heartfelt email, which takes three minutes to read because it is important to explain that the issue involves a violation of basic human rights. At top of session, I spoke with Rep. Huot about the right to birth records for adopted people. He expressed some interest, and said he'd do research and consult his caucus about the matter. I appreciate the interest but I am wondering what happened since then.

I've contacted dozens of lawmakers since last year but to practically no avail. Sometimes it appears that lawmakers are placating me, and other times I am stonewalled. Surely none is taking it very seriously. Why is the issue such a controversy in Minnesota, yet widely agreed upon in the international community via the vast consensus of the UNCRC? The UNCRC is the most widely recognized treaty in the world, and article 7 of it describes that the right to original identity documents is a basic human right the matter. It shouldn't be hard to support. It's easy to understand, and it have been reformed by now for the benefit of the estimated 500,000 people and their kin in Minnesota.

Some lawmakers on both sides of the aisle had expressed willingness to support these rights but it seems none of them want to assume the mantel. What am I to do? Who will champion human rights?

To me, it seems that lawmakers are avoiding their responsibility to a marginalized group -- the adopted person, and their kin.

I need to line up a good author now so we can be prepared for hearings at top of 2020 session. Would you please?
